honestly when you realise that you can use items at ANY point in a match, even when you're in the middle of getting comboed to death, i've found every fight to be a cakewalk

enemy gets me down to like 3% when I only got them down to half? use a healing item and now im full health

Anyone know how to save in World Tour?

Yeah, JP's CA shocked even me with how brutal it was.

Doesn't help I used it to end the match with Kimberly in his story mode.

There is an extent to which I think Max is exaggerating how fatality-esque some of them are (Blanka's in particular), but yeah. JP's, Jamie and Cammie's LVL 3's are brutal.

Over in the SF thread there was a discussion about how fatalities might look in an MK vs SF situation, and while I don't think it's a good idea in general, I will say this is exactly what I would expect such a thing to look like. Heck, this game is going to be my counterexample whenever people claim the PG rating was why MK vs DC's fatalities were so bad: you can totally do brutal, lethal looking cinematics with a PG rating.

So far I'm starting to think most fights with "Legendary Fighters" is supposed to be lost. None of them end any differently if you win or lose. If you reduce Juri's health to zero she doesn't even get knocked out - the match the abruptly ends and you get the same cutscene as always.

I think Blanka's usual effect of cause the bones to show made Max's brain go to Xrays... but tht Blanka's typical Cartoony logic

but Yay Thorgi pretty much was right in you can make Cool brutal moves... without the gore. MK vs DC was on a budget.

I have definitely lost most fights with masters so far with the exception of my first fight with Marisa. She eats the health bar but a few of my fights have been pretty close.

What style is everyone using currently?

Been alternating between Luke and Marisa currently.

I'm using Cammy and Ken for now.

I just can't wait to use JP's style. Finally, my SF self insert can use Psycho Power!

I've mostly be alternating between who I want to seem my bond increased the most with, and who makes comboing with the moves the game makes available to you easiest.

I spent a long time with Ken, because of how adaptable shoto normals are, and Marisa because the AI isn't too bright when it comes to fighting around her charged heavies.

But I think I might stick with Lily for now.

She's not Third Strike Chun Li but She's still pretty decent

How many years is this after 3?

Third Strike is suppose to be 1997-2000 based on the fact Mel looks like a young Teen in the Prequel comic and in TS he's suppose to be around 3

Li-fen is supposed to be 8-9 in III which would make her 18/19 in VI -which I'm pretty sure her being an active interpol agent would be required-

Lily is suppose to around the same age as Li-Fen -Okay Yeah I get not wanting violence against underage minors got that, plus don't want to encourage minor running off from home got that

plus... They KNOW exactly what they are doing with Li-Fen and Lily don't @ me

however that Raises questions of when T-Hawk and Juli.... you know made Lily

Finally got around to playing World Tour mode. I gotta be honest, I skipped over most of the masters because I wasn't interested in their fighting styles, which did lead to some chuckles when the game kept introducing them with flashy cutscenes only for me to completely ignore them (culminating in flying all the way to Japan just to take a picture of Ryu without even talking to him. Hey, he was meditating, it'd be rude :V)

That being said, where do I find Zangief? He's one of the few I actually wanna learn from and I've practically unlocked everyone except him at this point.

Also, I'm curious where exactly Nayshall is supposed to be, since the map places it somewhere between China and India, where the Himalayas are (along with the similar-sounding Nepal), yet when you get there it's a huge desert. And it's alternately described as 'South Asian' and 'Central Asian' to muddy things further. Maybe it's next-door to the Soviet Jungle that Metal Gear Solid 3 took place in. :V

Tbh I'm not sure the series has ever had a problem with letting you fight minors, since Sakura was a teenager in most games she was playable - I think V was probably the first time she was over 18. Same goes for Karin and possibly Yun and Yang (I forget). Ntm the avatar creator lets you make characters who look like they're still in middle school. :V

There's a couple of russian wrestler's standing at the bottom of the stadium's steps at night, they don't have a sidequest marker but if you talk to one of them you'll start a sidequest to find zangief

I was digging around the avatar comments earlier, and I noticed that the two comments about Capcom's games (the one that lets you choose a Capcom game) mentions Capcom Fighting All-Stars. Like, you can give your avatar "Capcom Fighting All-Stars Fan" as a comment.

... What the hell are they implying? How can one be a fan of a game that never existed..?

To be fair, she did jump the ship to Jam, so she still TECHNICALLY exists. Still though, why would Capcom include a cancelled game on a list of stuff for people to choose in the context of present tense?

Is it foreshadowing something?
