Alright, two endings down.

Adversary and the Nightmare.

Something very interesting is going on.

I've got the game downloaded, but I don't have time to play it just yet. I'm looking forward to seeing what it has to offer; the demo was already intriguing enough, so I'm optimistic about the rest of the game.

I've gotten to the end of The Tower and The Innocent. I started The Witch, and I backed out of the "The Stranger" route.

There seems to be an Undertale-esque mechanic where once you meet the entity it starts messing with your next run and you can't pursue routes you've already done.

Well unless you start new run from menu

But yeah best love story

I feel inspired to do the damsel run.

I gave the vessel thing, the Fury.

This is SO going to backfire. Well I'm already on this train ride. Might as well go for more peaceful routes.

I kind of miss those title card-esque illustrations for the Princess. Ah well, at least the full version of the game still has a lot of fantastic artwork.

So uhhh I think I saw the ending.

I have no idea what the fuck I just witnessed.

Yeah I sided with Princess at the end after the narrator died for good.

That one is pretty trippy due to how literally high concept it is :D

Anyway, there is at least 4 major endings types, fifth one if you count the one where you refuse to do anything on every single run and make her go through all five stages of grief ending with mutual destruction through oblivion

Not counting the "good ending" obviously

The "Good Ending" still makes me laugh with its "half-assed ending card" gag. I do think it's pretty cool that She will chime in if you've already helped deliver vessels to her, basically saying "You're committed to this now, so no staying in this ending screen."

So does anyone know the difference between Eye of the Needle and the Adversary?

Same as The Beast/The Den, The Spectre/The Wraith, The Razor/The (full) Razor, The Nightmare/The Moment of Clarity and The Tower/The Apotheosis. Kind of an evolution of same concept to even more extreme direction.

I get the Adversary but what exactly the Eye of the Needle is confuses me.

Well Adversary can proceed to either Eye of the Needle or The Fury depending on few things, assuming she isn't brought to Her as she is. Fury you can get either by refusing to fight or managing to make fight unfun by going full berserk by trying to fight her unarmed and then refusing to die until she is horrified by whole process(alternatively, just staying dead and not giving her satisfaction of good fight). Eye of the Needle you get by running from initial encounter and you making your last stand on inside cabin iirc.

Eye of the Needle is basically supercharged version of Adversary because your actions changed your perception of her. Adversary is enemy you will fight forever to standstill just for love of fighting. Eye of the Needle is Adversary at her peak on small tunnel where she is impossible to defeat and you are the small challenger needing your wits to defeat her. In otherwords, you changed Adversary from your eternal rival to mountain to climb over and the conversation during debate highlights how you bought her to her strongest point and satisfaction at defeating her.

Ah that makes sense, but in my run, I failed to kill her when I charged at her with the knife. So then I proceeded to the Eye of the needle. But I think I get what she is now. The insurmountable wall to climb.

Oh god, I got the No Way Out route. Oh fuck, oh shit.

Ya there are multiple ways to get to different paths, I've played a lot but I still don't know all of them :D

But yeah which one were you talking about? :D I don't remember all chapter names on top of my head so not sure if you are talking about one thing or another

The No way out route is if you kill the princess, and check her pulse.

Then don't take the knife and then get killed by her.

It....goes places.

Hmm that was Razor path right? (though I personally prefer entering that path by manifesting her a knife by wondering if she is hiding one somewhere xD)

Definitely one of more romantic paths

I tried flirting with her, but I guess the dinner line didn't work.

I've no idea about how to get No Way Out, The Razor, or The Adversary.

I think I got No Way Out. One of the routes I stupidly checked her pulse and she stabbed me with a hidden knife.

I went Tower < Innocent < Witch < Prisoner. I was trying to get to The Razor but then that happened and it legit went full Undertale two gods duking it out.

That was a nice ending though. I got the "Our Song" and signed off for the night. I was tempted to surrender/love her/slay her but the "say nothing/middle ground" route was too tempting.

I'm going to see about finding or making a walkthrough for all the different routes.

Yeah that's the route. When she kills you as a Razor and you DIDN"T pick up the knife, then you are locked into the No Way Out.
