Laska Tech High School, Reefside

Today was another in a long series of bad days for Sara Mitchel, a long running chain that connected all the way back to when she was a kid. Never as pretty as the rest of her sisters, never as smart, never as good at anything that they did. Always last place, having to watch as her parents rained affection on her older siblings while being the bad apple that fell off the tree for her middling grades and relatively average appearance.

But most days she was fine with that, she had her own friends and life outside of the crushing pressure of her family. There was even a boy that had seemed to be showing interest in her.

Until he finally revealed the only reason he got close to her was so Sara could introduce the boy to her sister. She had stormed off without saying a word, slamming a stall behind her and curling up into a ball, crying and screaming at herself for being so stupid. Just for once she wanted something that her sibilings didn't have, something that was uniquely hers.

She envied them so deeply it hurt.

High above the skies of the high school a black gate opened, a swilring pool of chaos and evil. Out from the whole came a young man standing atop a broomstick, dressed to the nines in a tuxedo and black silk pants, a green tie waving in the wind. In his hand he held a large crystal ball which contained swirling green energy.

"Oh what a sorry story, you're practically green with it girl," the man laughed, his lips pulled past his gums to reveal jagged teeth. "But don't worry, your scary godfather is here to make it all better."

Seven Sins Coven- Witch of Envy Valentino Valmark

"An abandoned girl all on her own, drawing madmen like flies, how very droll." another figure exited the portal, through this one was not humanoid in the least, instead it looked like a teddy bear pulled out of a nightmare, all black fur and contained within a straightjacket and a muzzle over its face. "But her loss is our gain, your not one to look away."

"Ah Null, come to see my work," the man lifted the orb and drew in a breath. "You've lost everything to your sisters perfection, so why bother with any thought toward the world around you. Let your envy make you into something beautiful!" the mist within the crystal ball began to spin rapidly. "Double, double toil and trouble, fire burn and caldron bubble. Hastur lurks within my works, and thus begins my wicked work!"

Green smoke exploded out from the crystal orb, flying down with a mind of its own and punching through the stone of the school, hunting its target with the sort of efficiency that would make most predators feel inadequate. Once it found Sara within her stall it was too late for the girl, and she was quickly blanketed by the substance. Her body began to melt away, changing the entirety of her being into a Sin Core. From there a new form began to craft itself around the core, growing until the ceiling of the building wasn't enough to contain it.

The new creature was a horrible flesh like entity towering above the single story high school, a monstrous entity with flesh like roots that anchored it to the ground, with its upper body being only vaguely humanoid, with a barrel chest and lack of a neck, however it did contain a multitude of faces, parodies of beauty dolled up with make up that chattered nonsense. The creatures arms were made up of thousands of smaller tendril like hands, acting as whips that allowed it to lift up anything around it and toss it away.

Sirens blared out across the city, announcing the creation of a new Sin Beast. People rushed to designated shelters as police tried to maintain some level of calm. This wasn't the first attack on Reefside, but each Sin Beast brought with it new horrors. And while the death rate was relatively low that was only because the Witches needed to harvest the emotion of the victims of their attacks, and corpses weren't useful for their goals.

The floating teddy bear, or rather Null, gave a light noise of joy at the creation of the monster. "Yes this one has promise, so long as the Magisoliders don't ruin things." Null turned toward Valentino.

"That won't happen, today I go all out!" Valentino held his orb skyward. "Come on Wasteoids, time to get to work!" more green mist spilled from his orb, crashing on the ground and forming into large white and black creatures. Vaguely humanoid in shape their thin arms ended with claws, and their heads more resembled skulls then a proper face. They were the footsoliders of the Coven, weaker then a Sin Beast but towering over normal humans and having strength enough to throw cars as easily as a child might a stone.

"Now its time to harvest!" Valentino laughed from atop his broomstick, watching as the chaos unfolded.

A very young adult wearing an olive green backpack was biking through Reefside, having just delivered a pizza. He was heading back to the pizzeria he worked at when he noticed the Sin Beast... though considering it's size compared to the buildings around it, it'd be hard not to.

"That can't be good," Curt said as he stopped his bike and stared at the creature. He knew exactly where it was. He knew the city well enough, and had been to that particular spot hundreds of times before.

"Your old stomping grounds, huh" a second voice said, as what looked like a mechanical spider crawled out of Curt's backpack and onto his shoulder.

"Looks like it," Curt replied nervously, his eyes glancing around to see people trying to get as far away from the area as possible.

"Well then, seems I'll finally get the chance to see the Laska Tech for myself," Spypher said gleefully as he rubbed his front most pair of legs together. "And I'll find out if it's everything you made it out to be."

"Hang on, Spyph," Curt said. "I'm still on the clock. My boss is expecting me to be back soon."

"You think those expectations will maaaaybe be lowered with a Sin Beast attack going on?"

"Alright, fair point, but we can't make this a habit. I don't want to get fired."

"Well then, it's a good thing I like my fights quick," Spypher said as he crawled to the center of Curt's chest.

"Spyph, wait! I need to..."

Before he could finish, Curt was enveloped in a bright light. The sound of metal clanging could be heard as the light grew bigger and bigger. Finally, there was a flash, and where Curt was once standing was now a massive red mech with huge arms.

"...move my bike."

Thankfully, as Curt hadn't actually gotten off the bike, it was now simply leaning against one of the mech's legs, perfectly intact. However, it couldn't just be left sitting in the middle of the road.

"Just do it now," the voice of Spypher echoed within the cockpit of the mech. "Then we can get to the action!"

Curt carefully stepped around the bike, trying not to walking into one of the nearby buildings. Spotting an open dumpster in an ally, he slid the bike next to it with one of his massive arms, then scooped it up and placed it inside.

"Got that all taken care of? Good!" Spypher said as he powered up the mech's boosters.

"Can't we come up with a plan fIRRRRSSSTTT!!" Curt cried as the mech leapt into the air.

"Do it on the way! We've got a Sin Beast to throw down with!" Spypher yelled with confidence.

Mabel was outside, busy sweeping the sidewalk in front of her family's restaurant (Table Manors) while dressed as an old fashioned maid, when the sudden noise of sirens drew her attention. She set the broom to the side and pushed her sleeve back, revealing the sleek chrome bracer covering her left arm. "What's going on, Glitch?"

The bracer proceeded to play a series of apparently nonsensical tones and beeps as lights flashed along the length. "Oh dear!" Mabel gasped. She hastily pushed her sleeve back down and rushed to the restaurant door. "Mother, I'm sorry, I need to go. I, um, have an overdue library book I just remembered."

Belle Toll, wearing a maid outfit that was cut to show off her more generous figure and included a shorter, billowing skirt looked at her lanky, glasses-wearing daughter. "That's fine, dear, just be back for the dinner rush."

"I will, mother!" Mabel assured her then rushed off.

Once she was a few blocks away, Mabel removed her thick glasses and stowed them in a hidden skirt pockets. She raised her left arm high in the sky, sleeve pulled back so the metallic bracer could be fully seen. "I call forth... the Magical Mecha Maiden Marks-woman, Amethyst Archer!"

Glith, the metal bracer, beeped reproachfully.

"Oh, come on, that is totally a cool thing to call it! Now hurry up and activate."

Glitch beeped again. A massive flash of light appeared, surrounding Glitch and Mabel.

When the flash faded, a large reddish-purple humanoid robot was revealed, kneeling on the ground with a metal broom clutched in its right hand. It rose to its feet, a cape behind it whipping dramatically in the wind. Standing, the robot turned its head left and right, looking over the buildings and quickly spotting the beast.

"May here... Is anyone else online?" she called out over the Magi-soldier frequency, even knowing that it was possible the witches were listening in. Now holding the broom in both hands, the mecha leaned forward and begin charging down the street, toward the newly formed monster.

Flying away from Laska Tech, a falcon found his young partner on an alley between the buildings 5 kilometers away.

"So, what do your bird eyes see?" Asked the young man.

"Many foul creatures attacking civilians nearby," responded the falcon "our main enemy has tendril-like arms and it's using it to capture more people. It has many faces, all of them seem to be mockeries of human beauty; why this is, I do not know."

"'Mockeries of beauty'? So they're attacking and making fun of us? That's a really mean bug." Joked the young man, but his partner was not amused." Alright, not the time, I'm sorry, Antigal."

"You can keep your sense of humor if you can allow room for your courage and responsibility too, William." Said the old bird.

Suddenly, William's phone started ringing, and as if it was magical, answered itself.

"May here...is anyone else online?"

Quickly recognizing the voice as one of his teammates, William answered.

"Team Falcon here, May, I'm Will. I've seen the monster and I'll be there soon." He hanged up and got out of the alley, getting ready to transform.

"William, you should remember—" Antigal was trying to remind his partner of something important, but he had already remembered.

"Yes! Mom and dad!" He quickly called his father on the phone. Fortunately, it didn't take long for it to be answered.

"Dad! There's a—"

"A giant monster in Laska Tech! I see it! Where are you, Will?!" His dad interrupted.

"Dad...I'm going, you know I have to..."

"No!" Said his father reflexively, but he knew as well as Will that there was no way of stopping him. He knew it damn well, but his paternal instinct couldn't be turned off just because of that. After a few moments, he talked again: "William, I'm taking your mother and the others to the shelter. Whatever you do, be safe and come back to us."

"I will, dad, don't you worry." He felt awful just saying that, he knew his parents could do nothing but worry, even if they believed in him. " I'll bring you and mom a souvenir, I bet you'll like it." He tried to alleviate his worries with humor, but it could only do so much.

"I love you, son."

"I love you too, dad."

And with that, he hanged up, and started running towards the school with his falcon partner behind him.

"Antigal, let's transform and fly out!"

As he ran, a flash of light covered the young man, and soon he transformed into a giant mecha with the face of a falcon. His wings opened, and he took flight.

Alex...is sleeping at his desk. Being a car dealer isn't exactly a busy job, though it pays well enough. Of course, his rest is easily disturbed by the angry pink robo-rabbit bouncing on top of his head, screaming into his ears. "Wake up! We've got a town to save! Come on~! Rise and shine sleepy head! I SAID WAKE UP DAMNIT!"

Alex tosses the raving rodent off of his head as he yawns, stretching his arms and legs out before getting up and walking outside. Normally this would upset most coworkers, but the robotic pest and her purpose is an open secret among the deals. Said robotic pest jumps up onto Alex's shoulder as he walks out. "So, what's it this time? Please don't let it be some small fries, otherwise I'm going to dump you in a small fry and I'm not cleaning the salt out of you this time." "How rude! But no, we've got a big one this time, and you know what that means!"

Alex groans as the rabbit starts to dance, girly pop music blaring from it's ears as it materializes the mech, looking less like a mech and more a robotic princess doll, if not for the shotgun and hammer it holds, and the blue flame decals on it's arms and legs. The rabbit, known as Pixel, hops up and teleports the both of them into the cockpit. "I really hate it when you do that, you no furred furball."

The cockpit is quite odd, a combination of different styles and parts modded into it by Alex's limited mechanical skills, helped by his partner's knowledge. Where once sat a bevvy of buttons and joysticks now sits a steering wheel and a clutch, with gas and break pedals underneath. To the left side is Pixel's area, sporting the previous buttons rearranged into something the small machine could use. To the right side is a dumping area, full of spare parts, old takeout boxes cleaned of their food, and other miscellaneous items tied down so they don't jostle as the mech moves.

"And I hate how you don't clean up after yourself, but I've learnt that that's simply something futile. Now are you going to let innocent people die, or are you going to do something about it?" Alex sighs, shifting into drive as he steps on the gas. The Mech starts moving, it's internal AI system working to move properly without it's usual controls as Alex starts to smile.

"IT'S MONSTER BASHING TIME!"

"I hear you, Mabel!" Curt said through the comm. "Spyph's bringing me to the Sin Beast right now."

"In fact, we're ready to do some information gathering!" Spypher chimed in as the mech landed on the road, before looking up at the massive Sin Beast.

"Information gathering?" Curt asked. "That doesn't sound like you."

"Well this is important information," Spypher responded as the mech held out it's arms, generating teal energy blades from them. "How durable this thing is!"

With that, the mech leapt towards the Sin Beast, taking a swipe at some of it's tendril arms.

Gogo Gadjet — Abandoned Warehouse

In an empty warehouse on the edge of town, a young engineer was hard at work. She was kneeling against an enormous hunk of metal, blowtorch in one hand and a laser scalpel in the other, molding it into her latest masterpiece. She wasn't close to done, but it vaguely resembled a machine gun, barrels at one end and a sturdy handle on the other. She didn't wear a welding mask, her face exposed to the flames, but her eagerness was plain for all to see.

In the middle of her exuberance, a small lizard crawled out of her pocket. It was made of red and gold metal, covered in nuts and bolts from head to toe. It crawled up the woman's chest and over her neck, resting on her head, but she was too engrossed in her work to notice. The lizard watched her work, both puzzled and amused at her commitment.

"Impressive. You've been at this for four hours straight and you haven't keeled over from exhaustion. I appreciate a strong work ethic, but shouldn't you take a break?"

The woman glanced at the lizard, but she continued her work, scoffing at the notion. "Please. Breaks are for the weak and unprincipled. A true engineer stays committed to their task, never abandoning it until their work is done! And it's not as though I have anything better to do."

The lizard didn't argue, but it didn't need to. Its tail began to rattle, nuts and bolts humming, emitting a low frequency that only Gogo could hear.

"Don't know about that, chief. Just picked up a bogey on the far end of town. Real nasty one too..."

It was enough to get Gogo's attention. Even without the frequency, she could feel the lizard rattling and humming like a motorboat, and she knew exactly what it meant. There weren't many things that could steal her away from her work, but a Sin Beast was the exception.

"Are you serious?! Why didn't you say so in the first place?!"

"Cuz I didn't know so! It's not like I know when they're coming, I just call them as I see them. You think there's a neverending amount of creepy crawlies running around town or what?"

"If there isn't, there should be. It would make examining those creatures so much easier..."

But there was only so much she could do. She sighed, snatching the lizard off her head and plopping it back in her pocket.

"Gonna pretend you didn't say that. So, you want me to do the thing?"

"If you would. The sooner we tear this monstrosity limb from limb, the sooner we can gather the remains. Now, let us proceed, shall we?"

They didn't say another word. In a flash, a large mecha appeared in front of the warehouse. It bore a similar color scheme to the lizard, but with its enormous stature, and telescopic limbs, it was more like an extravagant exo-skeleton. Which was close to the truth. The inner compartment was less of a cockpit and more like a series of plugs, one for each of Gogo's limbs. A wire reached out from the back of her neck, synching her thoughts with her machine. She had as much control over the robot as her Positron, maybe more, eyes glowing bright as she charged ahead. And she wouldn't have it any other way.

Mabel ground her teeth in frustration. "Cur... Big C. Do NOT use my real name on open comms. Do NOT use my last name. Do not mention where I work or live. If you say ANYTHING that the witches use to track down and harm my family, I *WILL* be delivering a hot lead enema and you will find out what it is like to live without use of your legs and lower intestines. Is... that... clear?"

Mabel found a low building that gave her line of sight on the monster and began converting her mech's broomstick into a sniper rifle. "Ok, is this monster weak enough that we are going to try to take it out where it is, or do we need to lure it out somewhere we can unleash all of the fury?"

Heather's heart lept at the sound of sirens.

How could it not? Ever since she got home today she'd just been doomscrolling through the socials. Really, any time she wasn't at school or behind the controls of her Magisoldier duty, everything felt so boring, at least at school there was a sting of pressure keeping her on her ties: there was so little time to ascend the social throne before graduation and Heather was thankful for the sirens to draw her out of contemplating the harrowing grey that faced her future. Tangy had woken up too; one triangular corner of Heather's tablet screen flickered to a pair of eyes before lifting from the square and soon the rest followed, floating into a six-pointed star that rotated and drifted.

"Hey mom! Gonna check my friends are okay! I'll bunker with them!" Heather shouted into the house, eliciting a brief mumble of acceptance from her mother in another room. With approval tentatively given, Heather slipped out of the house and began running for the nearest secluded space big enough to summon her mech.

"Why do you keep lying to her?" Tangy uttered as Heather drew what appeared to be a completely mundane but highly ornamented wand of some kind from her pocket.

"Because I need to keep my magical and regular lives separate, so that the monsters can't hurt mom!" Heather gave as her practiced response as she began waving the wand. "By the virtues I hold, I draw strength! Mecha... MAGICA!"

Tangy, for a moment, appeared to spin the segment containing its eyes before a white light encircled Heather in a sphere and then burst outwards. The resulting large white cube sat there silently following the fading of the light... Until large pieces began to detach and flow down the street, eventually every component of the cube was floating in a rapid convoy towards the site of the Sin Beast.

It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.

"Your companion, Mabel, seems rather...protective of her loved ones." Said Antigal, trying to keep his polite tone.

"Just seems like it?" Responded Will, and, directing his attention to the purple mecha, tried to be the voice of reason. "May, we're a team, we're supposed to fight together, not each other; you should keep that "hot lead enema" for this big monster!"

As he was saying this, he saw a group of smaller black and white monsters playing with cars as if they were volleyballs. He quickly descended and shot the mooks' arms off, while making sure to catch the cars full of families and safely put them back on the ground. He then turned to see Curt attacking the giant monster.

"Yo, "Big C", how is that "information gathering" going?" He asked somewhat facetiously.

"Look, mom, I know-I know there's a Sin Beast! I know I should be home by now, I promise, I know, you remind me every time. I'm safe though! I'm with Felix right now, and we're taking the proper procedures like you said: Basement, not leaving until the sirens sound, I promise I'm safe and as soon as they take the thing out, I'll be heading right home right away." A pause. A subdued sigh. And he nodded, mostly to himself. "Understood. I love you too mom. I'll see you soon."

The call dropped and Erik Milcamp sighed, rubbing his hand over his head, exhausted.

"If you're that tired after a communication with your mother, I doubt you'll be able to handle a Sin Beast." Boomed the voice from the cockpit he was currently sitting in.

"Nah. I'll be fine. I just hate lying to mom. If she knew where I was..."

"Your mother would be proud, boy! You must express your strength, raise your voice above a whisper and let her feel your pride, your strength!"

Grimacing, Erik chuckled. "Maybe when I don't think the knowledge would literally kill her. Let's just focus on dealing with the threat we have in front of us. I'm starving and this thing is keeping me from dinner."

"After this, a meal fit for a king! So says I!"

It was impressive Erik managed to have that entire conversation in the cockpit of a massive, building-sized Lion bounding down the roads, on top of buildings to get as much speed as possible to reach his destination. As they bounded, Erik hit a button on the cockpit.

"Erik and Felis inbound, to whom do I have the pleasure of fighting alongside today?"

"May here, my liege." Mabel said, feeling a little abashed after Will's comments. Perhaps her reaction had been a tad... extreme, but she felt this was important enough to be taken seriously. Several of her dad's stories had been how an ally's careless had done as much damage as an enemy's deliberate action. "Always a pleasure to serve under your banner."

Mabel took a breath, feeling some of the tension draining from her. Erik, at least, seemed to understand how serious these battles were. She examined the monster, still a fair distance away.

"Face one, left eye..." Mabel said, then waited till the monster had turned so one of its many faces seemed to be looking directly at her. A loud electrical 'crack' echoed through the city as a bullet the size of an artillery round was suddenly launch just below the speed of sound. Even before the bullet impacted Mabel was loading another round into her mech's 'Boomstick'. She hadn't used her weapons entire stored charge; she figured she had at least two more shots before she would have to wait for a recharge at this level. Using all of the power at once would do more damage to the monster, but also result in more collateral damage. Even at this level, a missed shot could do serious damage to a building full of people.

Gogo Gadjet

Gogo came in from above, her mech stretching towards the ground with its limbs, stomping the pavement and bouncing off towards her target. With Boltnut's help, she'd already hacked into the police scanners and local networks, bounding towards the monsters with glorious purpose. She was focused on one thing and one thing only, and everything else was secondary.

She was closing in on the grunts when Boltnut picked up some interference. A small screen popped up in front of her, next to her visual feed. Strange markers and symbols blinked in and out, each representing another Positron. Either their communications were malfunctioning or the peanut gallery was on the way, but she wasn't sure which was worse.

"''Looks like the others are moving in, chief. Think they're having a little dispute. You want to get a word in?"

She wasn't sure she wanted to. Those simpletons were always getting in her wayShe could mop up ten footsoldiers or tear the latest Sin Beast a new one, but without fail, they'd swoop in and take all the credit for themselves! Maybe she was exaggerating, but it wasn't far from the truth.

"I don't see why I should. From the sound of it, they can't get along with each other as is. What possible reason could there be for me to stoop to their level?"

She could tell Boltnut was on the verge of a conniption. Whenever she plugged into their internal systems, it was easy to tell what the other was thinking. It went both ways, but it was a small price to pay for such power at her fingertips.

"Because two heads are better than one and I'm asking you really nicely? Wouldn't kill you to show some common courtesy, would it?"

Gogo wasn't sure about that last one, but he was correct about the first. She never played well with others and rarely followed requests, but she made an exception for Boltnut. She always had a soft spot for machines, but most of them didn't have sentience.

"If you insist, but I don't see what the point is. The lot of them are bound to increase their squabbling in the next minute..."

"Pretty please with a cherry on top?"

Gogo was tempted to plug her ears and carry on, but that wouldn't be proper. With a thought, she rerouted communications, allowing her to speak with Positron partner in earshot.

"This is Gogo Gadjet speaking! To those slow on the uptake, you are speaking to an indisputable genius and the smartest person in the room, so I'd suggest you pay attention! I'm about to close in on our designated targets, so unless you can make yourselves useful, you had better stay out of my way! I trust I've made myself clear?"

"Alright then king, gangway for a princess!"

The white geometries reached the site of the battle, forming up again into the shape of a cube. Within the control sphere Heather spun her seat around before leaning on the main control surface.

"Mecha Magica is on the field! Don't worry, I'll be up and fighting in a moment!"

Heather turned off comms and started scrolling through a touch panel on her control surface.

"Hm... Contact list is a little light... Do we still have the uh... The axe guy?"
"Found his own host."
"Oh good for him! But for us... Oh! I know!"

With a few taps and a few moments of what was clearly some kind of ringtone, the image of a snake made of coiled wires appeared on the screen.

"Stricter, mind if we borrow? Got a big nasty Sin Beast that could use your help."

The image pulsed as the Positron being contacted replied.

"Go right ahead, dearie."
"Thanks!"

Finish the call, queue up the reorganization and pop comms back on.

"Invoke: Face of the seeking! Stricter's Serpentium!"

At her command, the pieces of the cube rearranged into a shape approximating a snake with the control sphere forming most of the head barring a couple triangular prism jaws that snapped open and shut as a flourish.

"Let's waste some Wasteoids!"

And with that, she slithered her mech into the fray to chomp and crush any underlings she could reach.

It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.

"Custard!" Mabel cursed. Her mech straightened up, the rifle shifting back to looking like a metal broom. "My liege, I no longer have a clear line of fire. The.. latest arrivals have gotten in the way. By your leave, I will attempt to relocate to support you."

The red-purple mech looked around. "Glitch, we need a better angle. Is there any structures nearby we can try climbing without doing too much damage?"

Several beeps and whistles later.

"I dunno... there's got to be a condemned skyscraper somewhere around here, right?"

"A king, a princess, and a "genius" acting like a bratty queen; this is undoubtedly a loyal screw-up!" Said Will trying to keep his distance and make something of the situation. He could tell that Mabel ("May, must remember to not use her real name", he thought) and Gogo were more interested in just taking down the monster than working as a team, but at the very least they weren't trying to kill each other or their other companions (yet). Erik, Curt and Heather weren't the most sane bunch either, but at least they seemed to be more open to working together.

And there there was him, the jackass Will, keeping his distance and cracking jokes while everything was going to hell.

He had to do something, quick, or someone could die. "Or I could be the one to die, what will that do to Mom and Dad?!" He thought, "God, one of us is going to die, and if it's not me, then it's gonna be on me!" He was starting to hyperventilate "What was I thinking? Telling my parents about this crazy mission and trying to take it on as if I was strong enough to pull it off? Who do I think I am?! Panic was getting a hold of him.

"T-this is a disaster! We're all gonna die..."

"William." Antigal could see the situation was overwhelming to his young partner, and he saw it fit to intervene. "You must not let fear take control of you. Your companions may not be a perfect team, this may be more than you could've imagined when I first told you about your destiny as a warrior, but do not lose sight of things; you're a man with a good heart, and you wish to protect your loved ones. Focus, and do not falter against the enemy, and I assure you, you will succeed."

It took a moment for his Positron's partner speech to sink in for Will. But it had been more than enough to assure him.

"You're a hell of a motivational speaker, Antigal."

"Your success is my victory as well, young friend."

"Well then, let's fly up and close; we need to get a better view of the monster and see if we can find a way to defeat it. Up and away!" And once again, Will took flight towards danger.

"Alright let's see, we have Gadget, we have Ma-Mabel! Yes, Mabel, of course, Mabel. Will, Heather, think I see Curt over there? Looks like a full party, Felis. You ready?"

"Haha! A proper king always fights with his subjects!"

"Felis, buddy, I don't know how to tell you that I genuinely don't think these guys even remotely see you as a King. I barely do." He smirked. "Initiating combat mode!"

Felis laughed loudly, and boisterously, a thunderous roar of a laugh as he jumped up one of the roofs, then another one and this time sprung into the air, where he began to transform mid-plummet.

What was once a large house-sized mecha lion was now a proper, building-sized fighter mode, but with an obvious lion theme, like the lion face on its chest, the humanoid face in the roaring maw of the lion that resembled a helmet. A pair of purely decorative wings spread out behind it before settling back down into its back, landing on the ground with a BOOM, where it pointed a fist at the Sin Beast in question, the chain blades on its arms whirring to life.

"Now, Sin Beast! You stand in the presence of royalty! Now BOW!"

"Oh my god." Erik grimaced, hiding his face in his hands. "I'm so sorry everyone, I'm so sorry, I'm really not trying to encourage him-"

"My liege! I'm not in position to support you!" Mabel said. She ignored Glitch's continued internet search and used her mech to begin climbing to the top of a large parking garage, the open nature of the structure at least offering a multitude of convenient hand and foot holds.

CLANK CLANK CLANK CLANK CLANK CLANK

Alex drives his Mech around, taking potshots at any little beasties he sees with his shotgun's "aiming mode," letting the autotargeting do more of the work than he's putting in. If they hit, they hit, and if they don't he can always make a second pass. "Huh, you'd think the others would be saying something right now." "You put them on mute, idiot. Cla-click!"

Alex rolls his eyes as he starts to hear everyone speak, though only catches a few lines of dialogue. "Oi oi oi! I know this seems pretty awesome and all, but talking isn't a free actions like in cartoons! We can all talk as much as we want after we trash these guys! The same goes for you, ya damn robo-lion!" "Big talk for someone who doesn't even follow his own rules."

Annoyed, he tosses his hammer at the sin beast as he gets closer to it, preparing for a combo attack. "Do as I say, not as I do you damn pest! Now focus fire on my mark, jump combo two as soon as I say! And if we're doing callsigns, I call dibs on Bastard!" "You would, wouldn't you?" "Okay listen here you little-" Alex starts to chase Pixel around the cockpit, having put the robot into cruise control.

Gogo Gadjet

"Smooth, chief. Maybe throw some hot water on their laps while you're at it?"

Gogo grumbled, but she couldn't be too upset. Boltnut meant well, even if their efforts were misguided.

"If it bothers you that much, I suppose I could make an attempt to be more cordial..."

"That's the spirit. Now, are we gonna kick some monster tail or do you want some more lessons on social etiquette?"

Social etiquette was the last thing on Gogo's mind, and not because she had little experience with it. But she didn't see the point of it. Did saying please and thank you bring the Earth closer to world peace? Did minding her manners polish up her latest death ray? The answer to both questions was a resounding no, proving that any such notion was meaningless. Boltnut was the only reason she humored it, but even they could wear her patience.

"The former, if you please. But if I'm going to play nice, then there's something I want you to do for me..."

After a short conversation, Gogo leapt into the fray. She extended her unit's arms, energy blades shooting out, lashing out at the Sin Beast's tendrils like a whip. The goal was to hack away at it's limbs and uproot it, scaling back it's defenses and leaving it vulnerable. A sound plan. If she was any less humble, she'd say it was positively brilliant. She hoped the others wouldn't get in the way, but she'd cross that bridge if she came to it.

But Boltnut had a different objective. As the battle raged on, his internal sensors on the lookout, scanning the area for anything unusual. Gogo didn't have any proof, but it was possible someone was controlling the Sin Beasts. If they were, there was a good chance they were nearby. If they could snuff them out, they could stop the Sin Beast and obtain a fountain of information in one swoop! There were a few elements she was maybe forgetting, but it was sound enough.

Glitch beeped as Mabel continued to climb up the parking garage structure.

"Shut up! Am I doing more or less collateral damage then the one firing shotgun blasts?"

Once she reached the top of the multi-level structure, Mabel began pushing several cars out of the way and then set her rifle up at the edge of the roof.

"And here come the zeroes." Valentino scowled as the Magisoldiers took to the field, honing in on his creation with heroic aplomb.

"Hold hate in your heart for your enemies, but respect them too, else you might find yourself trapped in a zoo." Null took a seat at the edge of the witches broomstick, watching the fight beneath them.

Curt's attack struck one of the many tendrils of the Sin Beast, ripping into its false skin and sending out a gush of black oil like liquid, the 'curses' produced by the Sin Core in its most purified state. Thankfully the positive power of a Magisoldier causes the curses to burn midair. Sadly rather then a clear wound the broken arm repaired itself quickly.

Each of the seven Witches had a specialty when it came to their creations, from the attack boost from those of Wrath and the mind controlling abilities that Pride's had. Envy's own special formula made creatures with a high regeneration factor. It wasn't infinite, so long as the damage kept piling on eventually it would lack any further 'fuel' to heal itself. Until that point however it could remain at full strength instead of weakening over time.

Which made Mabel's bullet to the creatures face all the more important, the large fleshy mass exploding and sending a further burst of black spilling forth from the creature, moans of agony and pain coming forth from each mouth.

Heather meanwhile made her way through the Wasteoids with ease, her constrictor form crushing them. However just like the Sin Beast created by Valentino they too were granted enhanced regeneration, pulling themselves out of puddles in some cases. Unlike the greater Sin Beasts, Wasteoids weren't tied to a core on the inside, they could keep coming back until there wasn't a trace left of them, or the Sin Beast that acted as a power source was purified.

A scant few of the Wasteoid's noticed their enemies dotting the skies, their bodies shuddering before wings burst from their back, spraying the ground beneath them with white and black fluid as they flapped their wings, rising up despite gravity being against them.

Erik's blows sliced the multitude of arms apart like a weed wacker going through a field of dandelions, however even more seemed to try and reach around the spinning blades to reach for the mecha, intent on pulling it apart.

Alex's hammer would find its target, the weapon having its own massive target to strike and bury itself into.

Gogo's own efforts weren't without note either, cutting into the Sin Beast's massive body while also deflecting blows from the numerous hands. However without support she might find herself quickly overwhelmed.

"I hate this! I just wanted to be noticed, just once for someone to see me!" the reformed face of the Sin Beast screamed, the other two faces curling in hints of mockery.

"No name loser, sad pathetic poser, nobody would care if you lived or died, your sisters are better in everyway, just disappear so they can make your parents proud!"

As the voices mockery rang loud the Sin Beast seemed to grow ever stronger, the skin of its body becoming harder to damage. It seemed the Magisoldiers had pushed the Sin Beast into using its trump card, a Sin Spiral. Forcing out the personality of the victim in order to further torment them. But as much danger as it could pose it was also an opportunity, a well placed word of encouragement could sometimes do just as much damage if it could reach the victim trapped inside.

The Sin Core itself inside of the beast was impossible to damage, and once the curses were exhausted it could be safely purified so long as the target was willing, freeing them from the spell they were under. But getting there against a regenerating enemy in the midst of a spiral would take work from each member of the team.

Alex catches his hammer as it rockets back to him, preparing for his combo when all of a sudden the sin beast goes out of control! "Tch! Damnit, you rat, enough fun and games. Switch to jump combo three in T minus thirty!"

Of course, with the beast acting up, there might not be a chance that it'll land, so he'll have to go for a big blow...to his social identity. He hates that he has to perform these "big anime speeches" mid-fight, but if it'll help...he sighs and Pixel turns on the outside speakers with a grin on her face.

"Well I can see you just fine! We all can! But do you really think this is the right way to be noticed!? There's so many people out there, but it all has to start with you opening up to others! And are you really sure you aren't noticed!? I'd bet my mech that you have people in your life that pay attention to you! So you may not be a queen bee, so what!? Do you really want to be a walking high school stereotype!?"

With a mighty leap, Alex's mech would leap into the air and try to perform the combo! One midair downward swing of the hammer, shotgun blast, a second jump into the air, another midair downward swing, another shotgun blast, and a jump away after performing said combo and touching the ground. He can only hope his words reach the girl inside long enough for his combo to go off.

"Daaaaw! You're a big softie, aren't you?" "Pixel I swear to Megatron I will drop you into a grease fire!"

"Yes!" Spypher cheered when he saw the curse liquid gush from the Sin Beast's wound... and then he saw his work instantly get undone. Aw come on!

"Sorry May. There's no need for an... enema", Curt said through the comms. "Team Falcon, this thing regenerates fast. We're gonna need to get around that if we want to take this down."

"Then lets just hit it harder! Or faster! Or both!!" Spypher yelled as he began repeatedly hacking at tendrils, trying to slice them clean off. This didn't stop from noticing the arrival of the other Magisoldiers, though, and their own attacks on the Sin Beast. "Now we're talking! Boy does Felis sure know how to make an enterance!"

And then the Sin Spiral happened.

"This thing just got even tougher! I didn't need to put this much work into cutting it up before!" Spypher exclaimed. Curt decided to take control of the mech and leapt off the Sin Beast, landing near the other Magisoldiers.

"Alright, physical blows aren't gonna cut it anymore," Curt said to the group. "We're gonna have to try talking the host down... and it looks like Al-uh, Hopper, already thought of that."

He looked up, hoping Alex's attack would do the job.
