Hanamaki: "Don’t worry, you won’t die now that I’ve defused the explosives in your body. I’m gonna let you crawl to the nearest hospital without your arms and legs though, bye."
That’s what would have made me mad, honestly.
I like that the gatecrasher isn’t to expecting to make it out alive. Which is why he was willing to attack an event filled with specialists in the first place.
The real horror of this chapter is Kinosaki suddenly being asked to give a wedding speech. That needs prep time, man.
At least he's getting expensive sushi out of it.
A look at the family hierarchy, wonder which family the water and sound users belong to. Guessing the new guy is a “outlier”.
Oof… It tells you how much Anna loves Hanamaki if she knows what she’s getting into.
It’s cool that the party went without a hitch at least. The crasher changed his mind a bit too quickly though.
Apparently the new guy was a character from the author’s previous oneshot.
Well that’s kinda annoying. We get a female specialist and a potential love interest, but it’s disappointing she’s already jumping to Gero for his protection. Her not being a skilled at fighting and immediately being down bad for Gero are red flags. But all of this really depends on how story plays out, so I’m going to hold on to hope here.
I think she already was a massive Gero fangirl before they met in person.
Welp, partner found, we can end the series now.
Jokes aside, she seems pretty fun. What I’m waiting for is both to see what non-fighting skills she has, and her reaction when discovering Gero’s lamer sides.

It's plain ridiculous in of itself that the first female specialist introduced is also the first one that can't fight. And right after saying specialist are like a hyper-elite form of assassin!
What's the point of her even being one instead of a woman that knows Gero and happens to do... something very well? She may as well just be some lady Gero knows that does stuff, just like other girls did stuff like shark-riding and magic tricks.

I mean, just because she can’t fight head-on doesn’t mean she can’t kill.
Yeah, isn't that the point of being an assassin? Being able to kill opponents without having to face them in a straight fight?
That’s why I’m waiting to see how this plays out. What she specializes in could easily explain why. Also I’d like to point out Naruko avoided direct combat and Gero himself stated he’s better suited for traps.
It is kinda weird to hear about specialists with no fighting ability, I would have thought that combat capability came with the label.
Just an extra chapter for this week, this time about Ureshino. She dresses up as a witch, in the spirit of Halloween.
So she’s a Hamster User. Clearly she’s never heard of gerbilling, cause that would be a potent assassination technique.
Just to reinforce this, I’m joking and if you don’t know what that is you shouldn’t look that up.
Still intel gathering is pretty useful, and it would give her a role if she sticks around.
Yikes… That went wrong awfully quickly.
So Kimie is from what’s more or less a fallen clan… Which I can get, because I’m not sure how a hippo, an orca or a fucking hamster are supposed to be used for assassinations. >.>
Like any other attack animal I suppose. Despite their looks, hippos can be pretty aggressive and dangerous.
Hippos and orcas are actually really dangerous.
Hamsters would actually pair well with Gero, they can sneak in poisons. And the intel gathering shouldn’t be understated.
Wonder how Gero is gonna get out of this one. Knife dude can best melee-focused specialists, and Gero made a point of saying that relatively, he’s not good in a melee.
Oh yeah, they’re dangerous alright, but probably not the easiest weapons to use in the middle of a Japanese city.
Well in that sense hamsters actually would be the most effective in an urban setting.
I don't think hamsters can scale concrete walls the way rats and mice can, so they might not be as useful.

I mean these are manga-verse hamsters, I assume they're vastly more competent than regular ones.
Speaking of which, wow, I forgot the Bug User thinking about getting married and the Needle User having three sons were both mentioned in the first chapter.
