I'll express interest.
On the subject of Psychic Powers, how strong can they be at the start and how strong can they get?
I'm thinking of making a character with something like reading surface thoughts power for coordinating characters (or justifying how everyone's OOC communications can influence IC, I guess). Starting limits that come to mind are range, the number of people contacted at once, and probably that only willing people can be contacted. Can't do much about range if the battle arena is too big, but only contacting one person at a time wouldn't affect what I'm planning to do since I can just relay messages and not being able to read unwilling minds is acceptable starting out.
Everyone's just doing the best that they can.
Psychic powers start off fairly simple, so your idea for mind reading would be perfectly fine, limited targets, just surface thoughts, etc. But eventually being able to fully dive into someone mind or connect a web between people. The important thing to note is that psychic powers tend to draw strength from the body which is the main drawback. All the nutrients that would normally go to creating muscle, strengthening bones and all that other stuff are drawn toward the mind to keep the power going.
The power will naturally grow overtime, becoming stronger in place of your character being strong themselves.
Dominatum Academy is the first of its kind, a massive complex built far from any nation atop the ocean, a floating fortress that takes only the elite into its halls. The smartest, the strongest, and the most skilled make of its student body. Those who graduate from it are guaranteed a direct connection to any sort of industry they wish to work in, any college they wish to attend, everything is open to those that manage to survive four years within the Academy.
And survival is the name of the game, each class is ranked according to both their ability to compete academically and in the ring of combat. Highly ranked classes are given special luxuries while lower ranked classes are resigned to only the dregs that are left behind by those who stand above them. But success isn't just determined by one student, the average ability of the class is tallied together to form the basis for rewards. Whether one spends the next four years in the lap of luxury or a pit of despair is set by their ability and the ability to prop up those around them.
Prove that you are better then all others, and rise up from the bottom until you are standing with the rest of your class in the Central Tower Dorms, looking down on the rest of the academy upon the throne.

Dominatum Academy: Stand Above All is a mixture of combat and academy RP's with a mixture of the supernatural to it as well. All character will be part of Class 52, the lowest ranking class within the academy and tasked with rising out of the bottom of the social hierarchy through any means necessary. Challenge other classes to games to take their rank, beat them in a fight, or simply outperform then when exams come to ensure your spot.

Info- In the universe of Dominatum Academy supernatural abilities known as psychic powers exist, however those who have them tend to be more frail of body and have their powers exhaust them, a harsh trade off but simply the nature of the beast. That being said even someone who is frail can use their abilities to defeat someone stronger then them if they are smart.
