I saw in the Fandom Entaging Misconception page that calling an instrumental a song will “elicit groans at your lack of musical knowledge”
While this may be true of some, as a longtime musician that is most definitely not my experience
Most musicians I know call them songs
Perhaps “could” instead of “will” would work better & leave both responses as ones that exist
