Junia, Size: 3 Inches

Junia hearing all from Colchester freaked her out a bit, thinking about being in a black like void, I mean how did they not freak out, or did this power do something inside them, she thinks before hearing Katarina.

The first thing Junia notices the cat puns, It looks like that cat brain is acting up, as she hears what Kat says, Junia nods to her she didn't ask for this small size, she wants to go back to her old live and guesses that the others feels the same too.

"I-I swear!" Pete immediately took to prostrating himself before Katarina, outright bringing his head to the floor and moving up and down, making quite a display of himself, "I-I didn't mean to give any kind of impression like that! I won't say even a word of this to anybody else! Promise. Promise promise!" He audibly gulped and looked around, sighing, "I mean...I just thought that it might be...be like, possible to use your like, powers and gifts to help the town!"

And so Pete ended up inelegantly blubbering as he thought about it more.

He romanticized the idea of freeing the town from the Jacobsons so thoroughly that he attached a superheroic ideal to it.

Meanwhile, ah...yes.

Willow headed to the sports field, where a large number of students were presently watching their small town hero triumphantly swaggering out of the locker room. It seemed nobody here noticed even a thing that happened back in the room - so thoroughly were they intent on watching what happened with Brock Jacobson.

The town football star was tall, about six foot four inches tall, and so heavily built for a teenager that one could easily guess that he wasn't exactly a natural athlete. The heavily built body and slightly protruded abdominal gut told the story of how exactly Brock became such a star - all symptoms of highly expensive, high quality drugs only someone as rich as he was could afford.

His coal black hair was styled to the side, his face shaved clean. He had a sort of square jawed masculinity that led many in the nerdy circles at school to term him "neanderthal" - but only when he wasn't anywhere close by. For the steroids he imbibed were known to give him a remarkably foul disposition.

But that was nowhere to be seen here, as he was luxuriating in the attention and lack of criticism that came with being the town football star.

I held my usual smile even after catching sight of that roided-up warrior that called the cruel shots at this school. I tried to stretch a little, match the height; this conversation was best handled at eye level. And then, time to grab his attention.

"Well, if it isn't Brockules! You and I need to talk, omae!"

I kept the smile going, had to. If I showed any sign of weakness around this asshole then he'd be starting off on the advantage and I couldn't have that. So I merely strutted up, smile on my face and just about as tall as he was.

"Who, precisely, said you were allowed to lay unrefined insults on the student body?"

It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.

Power-hungry George

George thought about it more thoroughly being a superhero sounds cool and all but what about the power it comes with it? great power has a great responsibility and all of that what a pity that George lacks the responsibility part maybe he could find a way to exploit his powers for his benefit and maybe save the day for some recognition

and then Katarina acted weirdly way too weirdly she is becoming more catlike this somewhat worries him "Katarina your speech is becoming weird where those cat puns intentional?"

He turned to Pete with a legit question could the book give more powers? how about Pete he seems like a good guinea pig

"Say Pete since we got our powers from the book how about if you tried to get one, you won't be bullied again if it works!"

Colchester barely restrains themself from bursting into laughter at what Katarina said. I'm sorry, what? Why should we care if Brock Jacobson knows about this? What's he going to do? And don't you ever refer to him as "him" with that dramatic-ass movie-cutaway-to-backlit-shot-of-the-villain voice again — he's a high-school jerk, not Hastur. I mean, I'd imagine one look at, oh, whatever was going on with Lila's jaw, for instance, and good Mr. Jacobson wouldn't be messing with us in a hurry! That's what I'll never comprehend about you people, you're actually scared of him. And it's even more ridiculous now — before, he could hurt you physically at least and you couldn't stop him, but now we're the ones with all the power. We could actually murder him if we wanted, not that I'm advocating that, but the point is that he should be scared of us, not vice versa.

Although, thought Colchester, "transformation central" is definitely an accurate way to describe this... empowerment. It's interesting, dare I say a mite suspicious, how all our newly-gained abilities relate to physical transformation in some way... except mine, that is. In fact, my power seems to distance me from my body entirely... That's even more suspicious. Why the one exception? Maybe it's pyschological — most people see their physical form and appearance as somehow integral to the self: feeling great discomfort when it doesn't match their real self, and altering it as a means of self-expression. And many of the powers do indeed seem to be forms of self-expression... so that could be it, especially seeing as I never really saw my physical form as all that important.

In fact, there's another exception — Armani. The powerless one. Did he not get powers because he sees his body as already perfectly matching himself? That... doesn't seem accurate, somehow. Maybe on some deep, psychological level he thinks he's so special he doesn't need powers... but that's even less accurate, with the outburst and all.

Then Colchester is shaken from their analysis-induced trance by George suggesting Pete read the book. Yes! Absolutely! I mean, another person with powers can't hurt. Plus it'll make Katarina feel better, because Pete isn't about to blab if he's got powers too. Colchester really just wants more data... but they aren't about to say that out loud. It tends to disturb most people, who don't see "research subject" and "valued individual" as overlapping categories.

Data is imaginary. This burrito is real.

Junia, Size: 3 Inches

She grabs the pen and begins to think of something, for one thing she is more or less living in a death trap with how small she is, she could find a safe way out of here and to home, but outside is also a death trap, Junia begins to draw down ways of getting out as well as the pro and cons of staying in here or trying to get out.

Armani

"Honestly! The nerve of that book..."

This was just one of the many disparaging things Armani muttered as he stormed through the hallway, teeth gritted into a scowl and hands squeezed into fists. He had no idea where he was going or how he was getting there. He was just too goddamned mad.

Eventually, his frustration took him to the front doors. Armani paused, briefly, then let out an overdramatic sigh and threw them open, stepping outside. Maybe some fresh air would help.

"Kept me waiting, haven’t you? Tch. No matter. Dawdle all you’d like. In the end, your defeat remains inevitable."
