Killed Chimera yesterday, and killed Hecatoncheires today.

Clearing things out pretty well.

So do you guys think we'll get an update to SMT V this console generation, with like 2 extra areas and 50 extra demons; or do you think we'll get a sequel along the lines of Apocalypse?

I just want a route where I can side with Lucifer and make all of humanity into Nahobinos.

I would prefer a V-2 of sorts (call it "Shin Megami Tensei V: Genesis" or something) but I can also see us just getting the usual Updated Re-release treatment: a big new zone added to Da'at, a new ending to go with it, some new side quests, and the remaining Divine Power demons who weren't in V + some of the demons making their 3D debut in Soul Hackers 2.

Alright. Taking care of one sidequest in Shinigawa where an angel got his ass kicked by some random demon.

Got then, and little dragon dude told me not to fuck with this demon during a full moon which is in 5 days.

The only demon there....is my little friend Amanozako....who says something weird happened to her during the full moon.....

.....woman...what the hell did you do? 0_o

If Nioh 2 has taught me one thing, it's that tengu are strong and will mess you up good.

I fought her. Almost beat her the first time, but chose a bad group.

Did better the second time. Trying to decide if I want to add her two new attacks to my Nahobino or not.

That's another quest down whatever the case.

I do hope that Amanozako shows up in future games. I really like that tiny tengu.

So it's been a while, but I played some of this again.

Just did the quest where I fight Moloch. Brought the wrong guys at first and didn't have enough Ice users, then I messed up and didn't protect myself from fire when he gathers Magatsuhi...or whatever.

Finally got it right eventually.

Now I just got one quest left. The one with Isis wanting the head of some dude....can't remember the name of the dude or the quest.

Edit: Now I remember. It's called the Falcon's head. But I have no idea where Sotokanda is.

Yeah. As I said above, no clue where Sotokanda is though.

I'm still in Chiyoda right now to be clear.

Alright. Found Sototkanda and killed me a Horus.

That's the last of the side quests. Next up, destroying those power things so I can get back to the main quest.

I've kinda slowed down recently, since I'm playing this, SMT IV Age of Calamity (which I haven't been back on in a while admittedly), and Project X Zone 2 all around the same time.

I can barely play two full games at the same time, let alone three.

I'm barely playing them myself. I never counted on being in the middle of so many games.

It'd be even more if my Wii U had actually gotten fixed and I was able to get back on Tokyo Mirage Sessions and the Wonderful 101.

Alright. I've gotten to work on destroying the pillars for Ishtar (or was it Isis') power.

Gotten three I think so far. Just a few left.

It should be Ishtar.

Man, I remember when Atlus was releasing demon videos. Seeing Ishtar with all those Press Turns was definitely a shock.

Man, I really nerfed her when I took out those towers.

Like, I didn't even need to use my special abilities of my demons like the nothing but critical hits one. She got destroyed.

So that's done with. Take a break for a bit to do some new stuff before I come back.

It's been about a year, minus three weeks, since the last post, now that we've had time to marinate on this game can we all agree on one thing?

Namely that the main story is a bit weak? Or more like really weak?

It's so incredibly weak I can only assume huge swaths of it were cut out due to development troubles. Because whoof.

There's a lot I love about the game. I love the whole Banjo-Kazooie setup of searching for Mimans in this playground of a world. It's got some great boss fights. The soundtrack is an all-timer. I just wish the story wasn't half-baked even by SMT standards.

While there are definitely places I felt they should have expanded on, I wouldn’t call the story weak, just a bit underbaked.

It was still solid enough that I enjoyed it.

I quite liked the first parts of the story.

Particularly the bit with the red haired girl.

Yeah the story definitely suffers from what I think was an attempt at minimalism like Nocturne, but it just doesn’t work as it doesn’t give enough characters focus and leaves too much mysterious.

I haven't been back on it in a while, so I can't judge.

But I still plan to finish it and get the remaining DLC. Though with how often my money gets eaten by outside forces and how little I have time to play because I don't have control of my TV enough, who knows how long that will take.
