Of those combinations, I like the first two, preferring the second.
I like how using panel 3 of the second page both ties it to the previous panel (through the dialogue) and to the first page, but since he goes from being up in the tree to being down on the ground, I'm not sure how clear it is that it's the same character from the previous panel, as opposed to a character building off of another character's sentence.
I do like panel 2 of the first page for the character having the same color scheme as his other form.
All four panels would probably be the clearest, but again, would probably be too long.
But, maybe I'm worrying for no reason. How do other people feel about the clarity of the proposals?
