Manga/ Record of Ragnarok

Was trying to find if a thread existed for this or not. Couldn't find it in the search engine, so I made.

Just finished the Sasaki vs Poseiden fight. This manga kicks ass.

Will be playing catch up to the current translations.

Huh, surprising they haven't made a thread for this one yet.

Been reading the Heracles vs Jack fight.

This manga is so fun, it can something seemingly mismatched legitamately tense. I love it.

Caught up to the Shiva vs Raiden Tamemon fight.

I loved the previous fights, but there's something about Manly guys beating the shit out of each other that really makes want both to win. Shiva is cool, and Raiden is too.

Either one could win and I'd be happy. Hell, maybe even a tie.

This manga is absolute bonkers.

I don't know if I can stand watching Prudr fade from existence, though, so I'm rooting for Raiden all the way.

I read this expecting a trashy battle manga. And that's what I got. But dang is it a good trashy battle manga. Havent enjoyed something this off-beat since Dolly Kill Kill.

I wonder if the manga is ever licensed in english, it would actually use the name "Record of Ragnarok". The series in Japan is called Shumatsu no Valkyrie - Record of Ragnarok. The title means something along the lines “Valkyrie of the End" or "World’s End Valkyrie". France already licensed it and went for "Valkyrie Apocalypse" as the title, which quite accurate as "end of the world" is seen as the apocalypse.

Any takers for who Wins? Shiva? Raiden? a Mutual kill?

Well considering the state Shiva's in & Raiden hasn't even used all his sumo moves, I'm betting Raiden unless Shiva can pull a clutch win.

Raiden has the upper hand so Shiva will probably win.

This manga sounds badass, and I'm going to watch a few episodes tonight if an anime exists.

Its only a matter of time though. I'd say around the end of the 6th fight halfway through the tourney they'll announce one to give the animators time to get up to that point.

Kind of surprised Netflix didn’t get that one. Big tournament fighters do big business for them.

It seems Aphrodite might use her "younger" design for the anime, when she still wore clothes, if the little snippet in the trailer isn’t a flashback; kinda hard to have the anime broadcasts in several channels if Aphrodite was fully naked all around, I guess.

First: I am not emotionally prepared for Adam dying again, damn it! ;_;

Second: Betting this will be an one cour anime and it's ending on Kojirou vs Poseidon.

There's just not enough material for a 2-cour, trying to fit in Jack vs Heracles will make the pacing way too rushed, and being both the hypest fight in the manga thus far and humanity's first win makes it an ideal point to end a season on.

Cowards, the lot of them.
