Just posting this from somewhere else
There's a theory that surfaced a few months back about how Genshin Impact is the result of Project Ark.
For those who didn't read the honkai manga, Project Ark is "an ark of retained knowledge bearing a copy of the human genome library. The ark was launched to seek another habitable planet for humanity."
In the volume 8, Second Key, Project Ark was represented as two twin stars. Sound familiar?
There's also the fact that Teyvat, the world GI takes place in, is hebrew for ark.
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaYeah, only having the traveler and Paimon consistently around for the story is kinda disappointing. It's also kinda weird, given how much of the game seems to be designed under the assumption that Amber is in your party
Overall, it's rather odd that this is a gacha. It's a shockingly good gacha, but that's still the worst part of the game and it limits the story.
I don't think it "limits the story" if the story gives you trial versions of the characters to play.
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaIt's not a restriction. Dragalia Lost, for instance, uses whatever characters for any given story that it wants. Whether or not you have them just determines whether or not you use said characters in the gameplay segments.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireSo apperently the pity system for banners carries over between limited banners.
So, for example, if you do 80 rolls in the Venti banner but the banner ends, the next 10 roll you do in the new banner is going to give you the guaranteed 5 Star item.
We can't fully be sure if this is the case, since we've only had one banner so far, but we'll see.
That's how it worked in Honki Impact, also by Mihoyo. So that's probably the case.
A rose by any other name would smell as sweet Unless I grew it. In that case, throw it in the trash. It's a very F 2 P-friendly mechanic, that's for sure, it guarantees you get a guaranteed 5-Star at some point so long as you keep saving up currency and rolling.
Also, on a related note, a few currency calculations:
You can get 60 Primos daily through Commissions, which are around 420 (lol) a week, and 1680/month, meaning you get around one roll each month through commissions alone.
However, this doesn't calculate Abyss, which considering it resets two times a month, even if we ONLY consider the first 2 floors, the bare minimum for a low lvl player, you can get around 1200 a month, which while not a full 10-roll, it doesn't really matter as single rolls still count towards the pity counter.
With this in consideration, you can definetly get a few 5-Stars thanks to this system + some patience without spending anything.
I'm not even interested in a 5-star right now, as much fun as Venti is. I want Beidou.
I'm also gonna save up in case Signora ever becomes available. Damn, between her and Kaeya the ice users are ironically incredibly hot.
Bleye knows Sabers.A Twitter user has recorded a clip showing the developers have censored "Hong Kong" and "Taiwan."
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Which is apparently a recent development. Either they just forgot to implement it in the first place, or something's triggered them to censor Hong Kong and Taiwan again.
I do know that a recent brouhaha with a Hololive VTuber and You Tube analytics led to the name "Kiryu Coco" being censored in the CN server, but the timing for that seems late to toss into the EN servers at this time.

Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets. Is this a legal ban or the developers not taking any chances with the CCP’s Hair-Trigger Temper…? Seems a little silly to implement it in the Global server at any rate.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo. It's normally the reason why there's a Global Ver. and a CN Ver. when it comes to online games from outside of China. In this case, however, the developers are mainland Chinese. It's likely they didn't have a choice in the matter in the first place, and it wouldn't matter what server it is. So to answer your question: a legal ban, most likely.

Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets. From what I understood about the situation, China has socially engineered a system in which citizens are directly and indirectly promoted in nationalistic fervor online to boost their social credit score. Effectively, if even ONE incident goes public, the government doesn't have to do anything directly, instead Chinese players will start to have 'riots' in virtual spaces, shit-talk the game, mass spam it with 1 Star and negative reviews, creating an infinite recursive spiral of fuckery.
Even the most well intentioned of companies can't do anything about this, from a logical point of view it's just better sidestep the thing entirely.
Chinese government is insane. Free Hong Kong. Free Tibet. Free Taiwan.
Also; this game has a battle pass and it's terrible oh my god. You get one unique weapon from it that you get to pick and everything else is just a variety in-game resources. That's so not exciting. No alternate costumes? No wing gliders? And it's not like it costs chump change. Ridiculous.
Bleye knows Sabers.Honestly, this is so solid as a F2P game I'm gonna break my usual policy and actually spend money on it.
Goddammit, Schezo...The battle pass is like that too in Honkai Impact3rd.
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaSo I noticed I had 10 of the standard summoning items, figured there wasn't really a point in saving them... and promptly got a 5*. Specifically, Qiqi, a ice/sword loli jiangshi. Amusingly, I also got another copy of Kaeya, despite him now being mostly obsolete (I guess he's better at crowd control?)
Still need a grass type. Assuming it's actually implemented in the game, which I haven't seen much evidence for
I got the four star electric broadsword boy what has the wolf Stand from my freebie. The banner freebie got me a four star fire spear girl obsessed with food.
I cant see myself dropping Amber without another bow user, but wolf kid is way more useful than the lightning wizard lady.

Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireGot the feeling that we'll get Dendro characters when we get to the "Dendro region".
Still though, kinda wonder what Dendro's strengths would be. It only interacts with fire (negatively at that).
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaHere's a strange thing to think about: Dendro (wooden) shields in-game are actually FAR tougher than the rock shields that the Hilichurls in Liyue have. As in, can-only-be-destroyed-with-fire level tough, while rock shields are weak to any kind of greatswords along with Geo elemental attacks.
Does anyone know a good way to get through a water shield short of throwing a burst at it?
I cant see myself dropping Amber without another bow user, but wolf kid is way more useful than the lightning wizard lady.
Honestly I think I'd keep Amber unless I got a 5* fire bow user (or maybe book). Fire is the most reactive element in the game, and getting it where you want it quickly is super-useful
And, yeah, Lisa is easily the worst character I have. I know she's supposed to be AoE, but her damage is so low. Her burst is good, but she has difficulty charging it...
Lisa works okay-ish if you combine her with another caster who's elements she can combo with like Barbara or Mona.
Until I got better options I ran Lisa+ Barbara with a rotation of Babsy doing 3 normal attacks> swap to Lisa > 3 normal's > back to Babsy ad infinitum, which did decent enough damage.
Lisa can be devastating if you apply all three of her static charges (superconductor helps) and then blitz. Took out two mitachurls at once like that.
I'd rate her as Difficult, but Awesome, although admittedly there are other characters that are easy but awesome.
Bleye knows Sabers.
they're archon quest rewards. No way it will no longer be that way in the future.
