My Hero Academia - Manga Spoiler thread (Untagged spoilers)

I like this way to blend actual fighting with inner fighting: Deku has to find new ways to hit Shigaraki, each time using one less Quirk. I guess the memories will become more and more personal as this goes on - I've seen a theory that Nana's vestige will be the one to unlock Tenko's tragedy.

I liked that En saying he's useless was setup for his Quirk being the key for the first blow. Deku grew up Quirkless, idolizing Heroes - any Quirk is a treasure for him.

Okay, "Memory Blender" was not on my list of things that might happen.

It does seem like the fighting will be both inside and outside though, which might get confusing but at least it doesn't remove Deku's agency; he still has to punch other Holders into Shigaraki somehow. I presume it's going to be easier now, if only because Shiggy must be really confused too.

Also, another chapter of "wow, Blackwhip really does everything, doesn't it", but at least Smokescreen is given some time of day. Also, I had a chuckle at Shiggy identifying Deku as completely insane.

It just wouldn't be fitting of the finale if Shiggy didn't have to contend with Madman Midoriya in the final battle.

This fight might end up becoming the weirdest Fusion Dance I've ever seen.

Quite an unusual way to save Tenko for sure, if it actually happens.

Blackwhip just becoming a non-sentient Venom symbiote is my favorite development of this battle, honestly.

Why are you all talking about this in the spoiler thread? The chapter is out.

Oh absolutely, I was just wondering since there are several posters who only follow the official release and stay out of this thread.

No text spoulers but we got raw pages. Its mostly just more of deku giving shiggy afo with memories floating around, he seemed to have given up everything but black whip and it ends with eri watching all of this on TV.

It's going to be so lame if Eri rewinds all of the vestiges back.

He transferred Smokescreen, Fa Jin, and Float in a single chapter? That went by quicker than I expected. Probably a good idea not to drag it out too much though.

I dont know im just going off the raw Japanese images it looked like everyone except banjo was flying away from deku.

Ok looking at the image on an actual screen it looks like only en got sent, the rest shiggy was able to deflect and he sent deku flying back and hit him with one of his giant fingers

Chapter 415: Rejection

The chapter starts with Tsuyu and Mineta in that one USJ scene of the boat. Yoichi realizes that their memories are blending together because of OFA and AFO's quirk factors' resonance, which has been getting stronger since they started fighting

AFO always wanted a strong heart so he could steal OFA, but the true heart was always inside them. This power was passed on from generation to generation just for this moment, to defeat the strongest villain of all. Deku prepares to transfer all the vestiges at once...

We see more memories from the USJ arc, like the big Noumu and Shigaraki's original design. Deku punches Tomura, but it doesn't work. Shigaraki's rejection is so strong that he opposed the transfer, but he still received some damage

But En still managed to break through and get transferred, which explains the damage. This makes Deku realize that he can't give up yet, he just has to keep trying. He then sees a memory of a man in a suit taking Tenko home................

Shigaraki's giant fingers keep getting bigger and more grotesque. One of Hatsume's robots, the one that looks like a little ball with wings (from back when Deku was training Air Force with All Might), is recording the battle

Cut to U.A. and we see that it's in the process of landing. Cementoss, Gentle and other heroes are doing everything they can to make the landing safe. Hatsume says that Deku is still her client, so she needs to keep an eye on his to better meet his demands in the future

La Brava says that Deku is the boy who made the man she loves get arrested, turning him into a better person. Both her and Hatsume have to keep watching the fight and rooting for him, no matter what

The business course student is watching the fight on his phone and can't believe what he's seeing. It cuts to one of the shelters, where several civilians are shocked by Shigaraki's giant fingers. The chapter ends with Eri running and Ectoplasm trying to stop her

It just keeps escalating!

You know things are going to escalate very bigger in many eyes considering what I have been reading so far and yeah the scaling is going to be massive in my point of view.

I'm really wondering how exactly the Aizawa and Kurogiri situation is gonna factor into all of this since it feels like we are about to reach the climax now.

Looks like only En made a breakthrough, so that's two Holders down.

...no, Eri. Bad girl. Sit where you are and do not, under any circumstances, get involved in this plot.

Otherwise, hmm... more of the same, really. I can only hope drawing all these hands and fingers isn't too taxing on Hori, considering the break he's taking.

In addition to my previous remark, it's going to be so lame if Eri rewinds Shigaraki back to childhood and he gets off Scott-free for all of the murders he's committed.

If she gets involved then I don't expect childhood, but just reverting Tomura's body back to before the Doctor did all these insane modification on it.

No idea how she even gets anywhere near that fight without the hero force looking both extremely incompetent and extremely callous. We've had that happen before with that one UA Robot ferrying Todorokis over to where Dabi and Endeavor was, but that was relatively close to the fight, in the middle of a chaotic scene, and it was still adults we're talking about.

There better not be any "oh, everyone can be a hero, including a six-year-old!" slogans thrown out, or I'll be cross.

Eri is the true final boss.

No, Eri, no. Don't come close to the fight, you being there is the only scenario that could lead to Deku dying.

Definitely curious as to where Eri is headed. Which of course is left as a cliffhanger, heh.

Chapter 416: Force Your Way Through, Izuku Midoriya!!

The chapter begins with Deku going for another attack. It cuts to Eri saying that she has to save Deku, but Ectoplasm tells her that he is hundreds of kilometers away. She suggests using the underground transportation system, but it's been damaged by Dabi, Machia and AFO

Besides, she hasn't gathered enough energy on her horn yet — even if she managed to get to him, she'd be useless. A while ago she tried to heal Aizawa's eye and leg, but she couldn't do it precisely because she lacked the energy

Ectoplasm understands how she's feeling, but all they can do now is believe in Deku. We then see a flashback of Eri telling Deku her dream, which makes him very happy and motivated to do even better. She starts crying, but Kouta holds her hand

Kouta says that Deku's always crying and that inspires him, since he's also a crybaby. We see that civilian who didn't want to let Deku back into U.A. He's watching the fight and remembering the promise Deku made: "we'll bring it all back."

Cut to outside of U.A. Monoma is being carried on a stretcher and Fukidashi is worried about him. Momo is helping Kaminari to walk and the two of them are watching the fight on a phone. Momo is worried about Deku being in a "dark form" once again

Denki asks Momo if she knows that "I trust that guy!" cliché that characters like him and Kirishima always say. She says she doesn't and Kaminari remembers she doesn't read shonen. He then says that although Deku is the strongest in the world rn, he doesn't feel like AM

"Yaomomo, me being worried means that I don't trust Midoriya?". Cut to Gunga and we see Ochako being taken away by that reporter in a helicopter. She says on a walkie talkie that the Gravity girl from U.A. has a very serious wound and that she needs medical assistance now

The other reporter is running towards Hawks and Tokoyami, saying that the UA robots are going to rescue the wounded. Hawks thinks about what Ochako did and her speech back at U.A. He then remembers what he said before: "If each of us started thinking about *everyone*..."

Cut to Rock Lock and Nagant. He asks why she's helping Deku and Nagant says that it's because he opened her heart. Deku does what villains hate the most: he takes the hard way, without believing in absolute good or evil

He suffers a lot in the process, but this is what makes her want to root for him. As she says this, we see a double-page spread of a very determined Deku and many civilians watching him on a big screen. Then a single person says a timid "Do your best..."

Deku is about to go for another punch and Shigaraki screams "don't come any closer!" followed by a panel of his father right before he died. Deku apparently hits him but, suddenly... he sees himself in front of the Shimura family house. End of chapter

Well we got one setup chapter down. Think we could go for around three more before entering the final final phase.

Momo been slacking on her research.

I do wonder if Season 7 is gonna be the final season, or if there will be a following, shorter season 8. Or if 7 will be the final, but it takes the Attack on Titan approach.
