Faux Pas

There's no existing thread for this comic and it also lacks its own forum, so I thought it might be worth seeing if anyone else here reads it, particularly since this is probably one of the more interesting story arcs in recent memory.

So after all this time, we've finally met Hubert's mother. I feel like it probably shouldn't surprise anyone that she's nothing like how he described her, from the very beginning I assumed she'd basically just be another Dusk (it's interesting to note that Hubert constantly misinterprets Dusk as well, suggesting that he's probably a Horrible Judge of Character). I'm 50/50 between whether or not Dusk and Hue's mom are going to have a showdown or if they'll instead bond due to their similar personalities, but either way it'll be interesting to see what happens in the next couple strips.

Well, it took like 15 strips, but we finally got to the resolution of this storyline.

I think the resolution to this sequence is actually pretty clever. If someone has to hurt Hue's feelings, Dusk will have to do it herself, which she's reluctant to. Of course, no one really seems concerned that Hue is probably going to get hurt by all of this, which is kind of fitting considering he's a Butt Monkey.
