In the story I am writing, the planet my protagonists encounter has Saturn-like rings and two large moons (as well as numerous ring shepherds). I was thinking that since the rings are so bright in the sky, they may be seen as a sort of purgatory, with the moons representing the afterlife. Some euphemisms I was thinking about include "[X], of the rings" for recently-deceased people (in lieu of the gaps inside the rings) and "[X], with the moons" for long-past, but I am wondering if it may be too on-the-nose of a saying.

"He's gone to the Lagrange point in the sky"

"He's gone to be with the dark bodies"

"He's achieved his final apogee"

"He's riding the asynchronous express"

"He's acheived orbit." "He's riding the rings."

Now everyone pat me on the back and tell me how clever I am!

He's one inspired by episode two of Brotrip: A Tale of Two Primarchs. Booping the toad.

Makes more sense when you've seen Catachan toads.
