From the Tv Tropes page:

In the autonomous city of Graymark all crime is punishable by death, even if its just spitting on the road. The city is divided into six Blocks all controlled by a powerful Administrator whose job it is to find criminals and kill them. By far the worst district to live in is Block 5 because of the overzealous and over powered Administrator, Great. A man who will stop at nothing to eradicate any and all crime. Its in this crazy city that we find our main protagonist, a young woman by the name of Burner. Content to keep her head down and just try to make enough money to get out of Block 5, Burner spends her days as a punching bag for the elite rich people slumming it in Block 5.

Burner's life changes though when she sees a young boy being kidnapped by an "Anteater" professional kidnappers who steal children for various reasons, none good. Showing off her prodigious martial arts skill, Burner makes quick work of the kidnapper and frees the boy. The boy runs away and feeling she did a good deed Burner goes home. But the next day she finds the boy has been killed by Great for stealing a teddy bear. In a rage she goes after the man, sick and tired of all the death and fear she has had to live with. Now she vows to stop Great once and for all.

Burning Effect is a Korean Webtoon created by Tae Hyeon Park and published on the webtoon site Daum.

So... I just finished binging this (it's got 48 chapters translated to English so far) and it's fantastic. And I've noticed the fandom is quite small so I want to fix that.

It's a battle shounen, and a pretty good one. It has a very unique art style that uses colors to express the character's feelings and uses the vertical format to make some cool fight scenes. It has a well balanced main cast with interesting backstories, such that when they are fighting each other I'm just praying none of them dies (since the bad guys are great too). And there are hints of interesting political plot going in the background.

And it's a revolution story. Revolution stories are great.

So yeah plz give this more love.

(PS: since this is a manga-style story I didn't know if I should post it in the Manga or Webcomic forum but TV Tropes says it's a Webcomic so I went with that).

(PS 2: I won't link to the scanned version since that might be against the rules but it's easy enough to find since it's in a popular scan site)

I was under impression that Burning Effect was manhwa, but I guess I was wrong.

It's been a while since I've read this, guess I'll catch up with it later.

I assure you, I'm a completely trustworthy person.

I've been following this. I'm mostly in it for the art style.

"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."

[up][up]

It is manhwa, but I have no idea if that should go in the manga or webcomic section, since it's technically on the web.

I reported my own post asking the mods to see if it should be moved to the manga section, but nobody replied.

Page creator here. I admit I only listed it as a webcomic mostly cause all the other works on Daum's site are also listed that way on other pages. It seems a brand new group has picked up the work and are going full steam in trying to catch up with the Korean release. I am hardly the best when it comes to troping and would love it if anyone would like to lend a hand.
