Twilight is pretty much peak physical fitness and Yor is significantly beyond, I can buy it. And the long-haired player reminded me of Chino Rios.

I do wonder if Loid doing these side missions might affect Operation Strix down the line.

If the missions themselves don't, working with Nightfall sure will. Regardless, even if Nightfall did manage to usurp Yor, in spite of all the damage that would do to Operation Strix, I'm wondering how she would break it to Twilight that she actually wants to have his babies. The funniest part about Nightfall is her repeated references to "the wife role," which sounds like something out of The Promised Neverland.

Its hilarious how Nightfall is too shortsighted to realize that replacing Yor at this point would ruin the operation as it could effectively destroy the carefully built & fragile reputation Loid as built by revealing him as a charlatan who goes through & dumps women like their nothing.

[up]I don't doubt that Nightfall intends to kill Yor, but she hasn't considered that Dr. Forger remarrying right after his wife was murdered would raise some red flags with Eden, leaving aside the problems she doesn't know about.

Nightfall's simply more concerned with the fact that Twilight is actually falling for Yor.

New chapter's out. Yor's actually a little jealous! Maybe. I dunno. Her though processes are too strange to tell for sure.

Also Nightfall making terrifying faces while thinking how much she loves Twilight has still not gotten old.

Why does this series get me more invested in a tennis game than any show actually focused on tennis? >.>

Hey Daybreak took them on with a ping pong paddle

What's makes this funnier is that it implies that he won matches with a pinpong since this is a Tournament.

[up][up] Page 10, when we’re shown the players beaten by the Foneys. There’s also a guy with a literal racket for a hand.

I found this series a little while ago. It's already one of my favorite ongoing manga. A fantastic combination of exciting, funny, cute and heartwarming. I always love stories with family as the center theme.

Loid is cool, Yor is a Mama Bear who both lovable and terrifying, and Anya is adorable yet feels like a realistic kid.

So far, Bond's introductory arc has been my personal favorite because everyone got an awesome moment there and the ending with Bond being welcomed into the family after being treated as an experiment nearly made me cry.

The recent arc with the tennis tournament was fun too. Thankful that it was kept short, though. Wonder how Nightfall would do as a recurrent character. My feelings for her are similar to the ones I have for Yuri for now; I would like the author to use those two for more things related to their secret identities instead of having them as meddlers obsessed with one half of the main couple. Nightfall's moments so far have been more entertaining to me than Siscon Yuri's since she can get involved in Loid's missions, although her "I love you, Twilight!" thought bubbles could get repetitive a little fast. Will have to wait and see if she's given a chance to have characterization not centered around wanting Loid to herself.

Anyhow, I'm here for the development of the Badass Family dynamic of the Forgers.

When they said "take out the big guns", I didn’t expect it to be so… literal. Though they weren’t quite scummy enough to use real bullets (which would be hard to hide, admittedly).

Anyway, that was quick and well done and I liked the chemistry between Twilight and Nightfall, admittedly. Now I just want a full arc on Yor to compensate!

Weird how two of the more successful manga right now are both spy-action parodies that are also surprisingly wholesome family romantic comedies.

[up]Second one's Mission: Yozakura Family right?

It's even more surprisingly wholesome given how utterly dystopian the settings of both series are.

Spy X Family definitely leans more to the comedic side (which is odd given that it's set in the more overtly dystopian setting). Mission: Yozakura Family otoh gets into serious territory pretty often.

Mission: Yozakura Family doesn't shy away from the fact that espionage is a dirty business, even when superhuman abilities are involved.

I think its at least partly cause Yozakura dips into more comedic sociopathy since its protagonists are essentially a bunch of mercenaries.

While Spy X Family has a government commissioned Twilight whose mission is to essentially stop a war from breaking out lending a nobility to his exploits.

Yozakura Family is also creepier since a running plot is villains trying to harvest a girl's blood for superpowers.
