i'm hoping soon we get like a Plasma style event.

I really want to see N and Ghetsis again.

Which characters do you consider to have worst fitting voices?

Ethan's voice is one of the characters that stands out to me. He's way deeper than I imagined. I imagined he'd have a prepubescent, maybe slightly effeminate, voice.

Hapu sounds....odd

I imagined a more stoner-esque voice for Mina, but I wouldn't go so far as to call it unfitting.

She sounds "stoner"-ish to me. She sounds just about how I expected her to sound.

Hapu sounds right to me. Hapu always had an odd way of speaking.

In what language? I use Japanese language (with English texts), and most of the ones whose voice I can remember, seems to be just fine.

Also, lol I don't know anymore what DeNA and TPC are thinking. Yeah, sure, let's add a new gacha event.....that strictly use paid gems, at a time where most people can't go out to buy playstore credit. Right after a login event that give tons of free gems. Great logic they have there.

Yeah i have like 3000 gems but most of them are from the event so i can't role for my free 5 star.

Honestly the paid gems banner are nothing new, but it feels like the selection on this one isn't much better than the last time we had one.

I would have been tempted to use it if Sabrina was on it, but I guess she's still too recent.

Which is a better option these days, Red or Giovanni?

Red is the most powerful character in the game by a longshot. Giovanni is good but nowhere near Red.

Folks have been able to clear the entire Battle Villa in a single day using Red.

Woah, i imagine the Power creep will get to him soon, but it's a rule by GF that Red is the strongest trainer ever right?

I'm actually surprised when they gave us Red already, and it's Sygna Suit Red too, not something like a regular Red, so they can release a more powerful Sygna Suit version later on.

It just feels way too soon to give us Sygna Suit Red, considering Red's status as the strongest trainer. We still have a lot of characters not in the game yet. Powercreeping Red with new character in the future would go against his status as the strongest, but not powercreeping him means they already hit the ceiling with character's strength, as in, nothing in the future would be more powerful than him, which makes future characters kinda pointless.

The only thing I can see them doing now, is increasing Sygna Suit Red's stats along with the powercreep, up until we get Sygna Suit Leaf and Sygna Suit Blue. And I'm not sure if increasing his stats like that would be good for the game.

Huh, on a whim I pulled on Cynthia's revival banner and got a second Cynthia. Used my Striker Candy on her and now she's 3/5, letting me fully upgrade her Sync Grid.

Time to get to work.

Wally banner is live now. I got him on my second pull conveniently enough.

Did one multi pull on Wally banner, got Plumeria for the first time instead lmao

Korrina also got her new Sync Grid and, amusingly enough, with it upgraded she may very well be just a better version of Wally.

Oh well, he's fun to have anyway.

I made something. It's a checklist of what trainers have/haven't been added to the game thus far.

I'm surprised they haven't tried to add any Sword/Shield stuff yet.

They did, however, have characters reference Galarian forms at one point.

And the famous "Iris claims to be Leon's cousin" line.

Anyway, I think with how unhinged Ghetsis is (he's the kind of people that would cause himself to be arrested by pretty much every single Sync Pair characters on the island the moment he arrives), and the fact that this game seems to have Hoopa takes the characters from the end of their respective latest games, Ghetsis won't make it to this game. B2/W2 ended with him being too insane to function as a normal human being.

Short of the game itself dying before it can get to him, I don't see why they'd exclude Ghetsis. He's a popular villain and this game is basically pure fanservice.

They'd find some way to have him, even if it's the victorious Ghetsis from Rainbow Rocket.

B/W Ghetsis could work I guess, but his plot would be just a full repeat of Giovanni (as in, "yes I work with you for now, but I'll secretly backstab you one day", funny considering that's exactly what he wanted to do to Giovanni in Rainbow Rocket lol)

I can see Ghetsis truly wanting you to join his side.

Sword and shield stuff probably wasnt added from the get go because it was too new. Adding then in would probably spoil players before they had a chance to fight them themselves.

That's true, but you'd think they'd have added in a Gym Leader or two by now.

Well, other than Jasmine & Steelix coming soon, we have no idea what other trainers are in the pipeline. Maybe someone interesting will come up next batch.

Among all the characters from previous games, the one I'm wondering about now is Mallow, when Mallow will become playable?

We know she has voicelines, models, and images ready since we fought her in the Xmas event. But almost 6 months later, she's still not playable.....
