IQ is not the best measurement for general intelligence, but yeah, Byleth doesn't create an harem around themselves, only one Husband or wife will be chosen.

Eh, if the next system is like Three Houses, trying to force versatility that way wouldn't matter that much. Every non-magic unit can very comfortably train both bows and one melee type with few issues (and they generally want to do this, since bows are that busted)). The end result would just be primary bow users training that same way. And that's if the player even plans to have the bow users fight in melee. The game has plenty of other units to handle that, after all (or the player takes the Mongolian bow kiting approach, where 1-range combat basically isn't a thing).

I would point to the fact that Seteth can end up with one girl per house, but all of his endings imply that the romance happened after they were grown and he'd given up any power he'd theoretically have over them, so *shrugs*.

I still think that Catherine/Ashe is the worst possible pairing as far as its everything goes.

Why Catherine x Ashe though? Is it because of Christopher or something different?

For me, all pairings with Byleth and the students suck, especially Byleth x Bernie or Byleth and Dimitri or Byleth and Edelgard.

Remember the Interview which revealed that Initially Edelgard was supposed to be an equal rival to Byleth with her Crest of Flames being able to interfere with the Divine Pulse and even make it unusable in the "final battle".

Imagine if she and Nemesis had the power to block DP in their respective battles against Byleth. This would have made the last chapters of SS,AM and especially VW much harder than they were originally.

But what do they mean with equal rival? Was she supposed to have the same authority over her class as Byleth? That would have been unfair.

Isn't she already on par with Byleth? She is capable of going toe on toe with them and I do consider her to be the Canonically strongest Houseleader,even more so than Dimitri. Claude is the smartest though.

I wonder what food in Duscur is popular? Bear meat? I know for sure that if Flayn opens up an Nabatean restaurant, she will mostly have fish meals and instead of using salt,she uses Garum, lots and lots of Garum.

Ashe's best romance is with Dedue, purely because he starts a restaurant to end racism.

Well Ashe x Mercedes happened in my first BL playthrough and Edelgard was paired with Manuela in mine. Dimitri and Dedue got their ending as well and Khalid married Lysithea,

I don't need to imagine.

Kuroi regularly does Ironman Awakening Lunatic+. Three Houses Maddening is a cakewalk compared to that.

I wouldn't really call it regularly anymore, but yeah, it's a thing that I do.

So how exactly do you get the Tathlum Bow? The wiki says you get in the Arianrhod chapter but I never found it there.

I think it's on a thief reinforcement that's only triggered by going into a specific section of the map, but I couldn't tell you what.

At some point, a yellow Thief will appear and try to escape. Kill him before he does to get the Tathlum Bow.

He only appears on the Kingdom route.

You need to step on a specific tile on the Fhirdiad map (AM Chapter 18). I recall using the picture linked in this gamefaqs forum post as a reference, and it worked. Not sure if it's one tile or the area around it.

Once your unit is on it, a third-army thief will spawn on the map, carrying the bow. You need to chase him down and kill him before he escapes.

Don't you think that Dimitri should have gotten the Sword of Begalta instead of Khalid? It's in mythology a brother of Moralta, which is Felix's sword and IMO, that would have fitted much better. For Khalid, I have an idea of what type of weapon he could get.

They could give it to any of the Lords, and I still wouldn't use it. Sure, they like to push swords as a secondary for the Lords, but the only one who really benefits in any remarkable way is Edelgard in her early game (because axe base Hit is ass). Problem being, bows are so damn good, that there's no reason not to focus on them over swords. Sure, Claude could take as a secondary, since bows are his primary, but with the Deer otherwise being full of pretty capable melee fighters, rushing Encloser seems like the way better play.

That's true, the GD has already alot of good hitters. I think the reason why Dimitri's final class isn't that great is due to the fact that he has no horse and he isn't going to use Swords as he has enough axes. Khalid has enough bows and with close counter, there is no need for an sword or even for an axe, despite his proficiency.

Here is something else: do you think that Thales is better if he had Ridill as a weapon and his class also giving him sword and brawling bonus? Or is Quake enough? I ask because he is kind of disappointing as an boss.

I think he needed either more bulk or better fortifications, because Thyrsus Lys can one-shot him over the wall for free with Luna. Even putting that aside, his goons can easily be blasted through to clear a path for Byleth—or another fast heavy hitter—to jump on him with a quad.

I think the Aelfric would be a good base for what Thales should have been. Have Thales in a tough-to-reach location while being active from the start. Remove Quake durability, but put it on a script where it happens every 3 or 4 turns. But no insane stats like Aelfric. Could maybe do something like +20 bonus Prt and Rsl that falls by 10 as each factory is shut down, but his offense needs to be kept under control so Quake doesn't get too far out of hand.
