Rhea herself says that Nemesis merely stole the remains of the progenitor god. She's quite specific about the 'remains' part which means Sothis was already dead. So where is the idea that he killed her coming from?
The Red Canyon massacre
Heart of StoneMisinformation. Same as those who said Sothis struck back and destroyed them, which didn't happen. She just fixed the planet.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. That's different. He already had the Sword of the Creator at that point.
By the way, here's the scene where Rhea tells her side of the story which clearly has Sothis already be dead before Nemesis entered the tomb.
So should I change all the references on the trope pages which outright say Nemesis killed Sothis?

Well, "dead" is kinda weird for dragons, apparently. More like they fall asleep after expending all their energy and don't wake up for centuries. So Sothis was "dead", but after Nemesis carved her up for weapons and crest stones, she was even more "dead".
Yeah they're "Dead" but they are also still alive, since their Crest Stones do weird mumbo jumbo.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. Are Crest stones the same as dragonstones?
Heart of StoneNo. They're Hearts.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Since it's ambiguous what dead even means for a 'god', should the trope pages be changed to reflect that? They all say that Nemesis killed Sothis.
Eh. Leave it. It's basically true, and it's not like we have to get into the metaphysics of the thing.
i thought the game explicitly said that Sothis was sleeping and Nemesis and his dudes killed her in her sleep, but i could be misremembering.
Migrated to Chloe Jessica!Unless there is a reliable source for Nemesis killing Sothis, the pages should just say he stole her remains as that's what is said in the game. I mean, even Thales calls Nemesis a thief first and foremost.

Does anyone know how to pronounce Byleth's name in English?
bye-leth
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaJudging by this, I think bill-eth is more accurate.
Heart of StoneIf only someone would ever actually use their name...
Wait until they get added to Smash
Heart of StoneThere are some introduction videos made by Nintendo and narrated by Jeralt's VA in-character where he says Byleth. I'm not in a position to search for them right now but someone could try.
Byleth would be a great Simon Echo fighter. Wait.

Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.Well it was certainly more accurate than the last one.
So i'd like to discuss Edelgard's character a bit, specifically in her route where she declares war, if you really think about it, besides betraying the church, why is it thought to be the evil route in this game? Yes she starts a war, but there is no indication that she is committing atrocities like killing civilians and such, hell even one of her worse acts like using Cornelia to exile Dimitri and take over the holy Kingdom never happens. Hell i notice that this is the one route where Byleth doesn't kill execute someone, all the chances are optional and indeed, you take this route partly BECAUSE you don't want to execute your student. Edelgard even gives her opponents the chance to surrender peacefully, like at the end, and putting down crazed Rhea is pretty heroic.
I mean, technically she didn't even declare war on the other nations, just the Church and Rhea. Though to be fair, the students and thus Children of the other nations were in the same building soooo yeah.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Eeehh, 'cause you're siding with the villain? Like, it's nice that you get to be a moderating influence on her and all, but that doesn't really excuse her actions up to that point. Also, she knew full well what declaring war on the Church would entail.
I mean, really, haven't you noticed just how badly all the other players in the war have to go off the deep end to make Edelgard seem halfway reasonable?
I see, though to be fair, Rhea going off the deep end is not that unbelievable to me. Ironic that Dimitri is the most sane on her route. But Claude doesn't go off the deep end. Hell he was banking on her showing mercy, and believed that Edelgard could bring Fodlan to peace if spared.
