I doubt we'd get any speech at all. Spear's family didn't speak, and that coven, which could have chanted a made up language, just screamed.
With last episode's point of view cam and the way it cut through it's prey, I was expecting something of supernatural origin, but when we saw the beast, it was just a dinosaur with razor arms. I was disappointed, though I suppose there still exists the possibility that it does have a supernatural origin.
We didn't get a good look at it at all. The only time we saw it was when it was being burned to death, and only for a split second. We actually have no idea what the Night Feeder looked like when it was alive.
It's somewhat hinted that the creature is some kind of weredino.
Huh I wonder when she’s gonna ask to take off the restraints.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Well Goddamn that certainly was a sequel hook if I ever saw one.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Huh, definitely curious how this stuff develops. Not the direction I thought they'd take.
Mira, apparently, speaks Arabic. She also seems to be worshipping the crescent Moon, which is a traditional Middle Eastern symbol (still in use by Islam). This suggests that she comes from (this world's equivalent of) the Middle East - which is appropriate, since that is where earilest civilizations come from.
Now I'm starting to question if this is some kind of fantasy world or if it is supposed to be Earth but Spear and Fang are in a prehistoric Lost World.
So I was right. The ape-men have returned. Given that the season has ended on a cliffhanger, is it possible they're being set up as the overarching villains of the series?
I saw a comment that successfully predicted that this episode would have references to Egypt, because Scorpion is the name given to one of the earliest rulers, and Mira's design seems to back that up.

Were these the same Ape Men as episode 5? They looked different. I also think the Ape Men aren't connected to the Scorpion people. Mira doesn't give any indication they're not humans. Overall I'm not sure how I feel about this. I feel like they're hitting at society being far more developed than it should be. Unless Spear just happens to be on a Lost World continent and Mira is from a more advanced one?
I think the ape-men in this episode were a different tribe than the ape-men from Episode 5. Those looked like actual bipedal gorillas and snow monkeys, whereas these were more disfigured, and had blue glowing eyes.
It's pretty interesting how the last episode was also the least scary in the entire series. After three horror-packed episodes, the series took a completely different direction.
>Dinosaur with razor arms
The K'Chain Cha'Malle? Are we in Malazan now?
That's actually a pretty likely representation of what the Night Feeder may look like.
Finally watched the entire season today as a precursor to cutting my cable.
Holy shit this show is intense. Not just in terms of violence but also in how dangerous the world is in prehistoric times of whatever alternate Earth this is. Also interesting in how the plot of the whole series actually kicks off at the finale. I'm wondering how Spear and Fang are going to go after Mira, too.

A well-deserved win, I think.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Well-deserved, Primal and the tragically cancelled Final Space are two of my favorite current animated adult shows for doing something with their rating other than the typical South Park comedy copy (Rick and Morty gets a free pass for its creativity and hilarity not entirely based on grossout). It deserved that price very much
"Bingo! If two species hate each other, they will wipe each other out on their own."I still say South Park deserved to win. Purely for this scene.

Truth be told, Final Space 's cancellation has me more than a little concerned about Primal 's future. We know it's been renewed for a second season, which will be debuting this fall, but what beyond that? Will there be a Season 3? The fact that I haven't seen any promotion for Season 2 on Adult Swim doesn't help.

I mentioned this in the thread for Unicorn Warriors Eternal, but Genndy Tartakovsky said how he's currently working on the last episode of both that show and Primal. Of course, by last episode, he could mean the season 2 finale or the season 3 finale (assuming he was renewed for another season).
They'd probably speak some sort of made-up language with no subtitles.
