Hmm, that'd be a shame. At least I still have the older consoles for that.
Optimism is a duty.A patent was filed for the PlayStation 5's controller and was apparently deleted shortly afterwards.
It's okay though, because we at least got an image from it.◊
It's virtually the same as the DualShock 4, but without the light bar, slightly teenier analog sticks, larger trigger buttons, and a USB-C port.
I Interesting, I thought they'd drop the touch screen in favour of something more useful.
Optimism is a duty.Aw, I liked the light bar...
"No load times"? I'm calling that an abject lie right off the bat. There's always load times. If anything, load times seem to get bigger and bigger as game sizes inflate. And that's not even going into things like verifying DLC, which Ubisoft loves doing, for instance.
Optimism is a duty.Agreed, I'll believe this when I see it.
People always complain about games like Sonic '06 and Bionic Commando '09 having long loading times, but just about every AAA PS4 game I've played has had just as long, if not longer loading times than those.

I assume they mean 'no load times' for downloading games. Like some of blizzard games you probably can stream the textures and such as you play the game after the basic install.
But you say it already, after the basic install. There will always be a wait, even when installing.
I think the problem of installation and loading times is hugely overstated. Installation and updates are one-time hassles, and load times, while a little annoying, are seldom deal breakers.

Optimism is a duty.Well, I can't say I'll miss them. I had a Nintendo DS, and that was more than enough handheld for me.
Optimism is a duty.I still feel burned on the Vita, it was so nice but just so utterly abandoned by Sony.
Isn't it still the only way to play Persona 4 Golden?
"...in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach."Yeah, a Vita or a Vita TV is it. P 3 P as well is locked to the portables as well.
UGH. I don't like the notion of having to buy a Vita or get the PS 2 version to experience that game.
"...in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach."Well, good riddance, honestly. I don't like these series that spread out their games over console and mobile devices, so you have to buy all the systems to get the whole story, or to be able to use all the game's features.
Optimism is a duty.A Playstation TV will run you like $300 to get since Sony completely abandoned it.
It is still a good platform though SOOO many good JRP Gs on it. Most have been ported to PC but not all. Tales of Hearts R and Persona 4 Golden are the most notable.

Persona 4 Golden and Danganronpa as well (The latter even less so, since its been ported to a lot of things).
Watch SymphogearNear the end of its life I found more people buying Vita’s to go full ham with various home brews and other software. That’s great for the brewers, not so much Sony.

Playstation 5 logo revealed at CES 2020; looks identical to the PS4 logo, but with a 5.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."I see Sony takes the same approach to their logos they do to their names.

I could see this being the generation that Traditional DV Ds get phased out for being playable on Consoles, especially the movie player part of them.
