Go big and go home! Hopefully this leads to the Yuis working out something between themselves so they can both have a life.
Chapter 12:
So, there's another guy who's fell in love with Yui and he's a class president who dislike Kiito? Figures. And seems that Yui can change herself into Black Yui
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Chapter 13:
Yep, Yui seems to have a huge resentment with that president for a good measure due to him being a rather condescending asshole. Same with Kiito
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."That was a cool chapter, but I was a bit confused… Did they imply that Black might not actually be the "original" Yui?
Chapter 14 confirms that the author has finally decided to do something with his premise and with White's character. On the other hand, this looks like the setup to a climax… Hopefully there's a conclusive ending if that's the case.
Still think Nao is a terrible person.
Chapter 14:
The death flag for Yui in white is strong in this one when she met with the tarot card fortune teller... And that fortune teller is truly suspicious as hell.
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Chapter 15!
…I don't know if that serious turn was planned from the start, but I sure am glad it happened. So there was something in Black that made her act violent? Seems like she didn't just beat up thugs either…
Chapter 15:
Fuck... Seems that there is a mysterious woman that seemingly hold a grudge with Yui... This is going to be intense
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Well, that's quite a genre shift but I'm willing to entertain it. Assuming it lasts long enough for that, at least.

Chapter 16… This manga is now straight up horror. And now I almost wish it survives, but it's probably too late…
But god that Creepy Doll is creepy.
My theory at this point is that White is the original Yui and Black is the mushi that infected her in her youth… which would be an interesting reversal.
Chapter 16:
Yeesh, I agree with you Lyendith that the manga turns into a bit of a horror... Despite the new girl, Honoka, is pretty like a doll, she's kind of creepy and so does the doll that appeared in this chapter.
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Chapter 17:
Everytime I see Honoka, this song always play in my head Perfect Blue flashbacks. Yeah, the chapter's creepiness is Up To Eleven in this one thanks to Honoka and her obsession with the dolls
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."All that stuff about fear and the imagination Honoka was talking about just makes me imagine a crossover with The Last Sayuki. Those dolls probably won't do well against a nyoibo to the face.
Chapter 18:
So...Honoka hates Yui because her black version ruined Honoka's life to the point she covers her hand with scars? Right...Also, seems that Honoka reveals another form of her as a doll.
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."I thought I had skipped a chapter at first. >.> That was confusing.
So, I've read the first 9 chapters of the series. It's one of those series that's really fun, until you think about it and then it becomes super fucked up.
Yui in Black is the real person! And her supposed "best friend" keeps sealing her away and replacing with a fake that she finds more pleasing! From what I've seen, Nao would replace her with the fake full time if she could! Why is Yui even considers someone who'd rather she not exist to be her friend!
Yui isn't some monster, she's just rowdy and headstrong. She doesn't deserve to be unpersoned and replaced with some demure doll that is easier to handle. They already stole years of life from her.
Chapter 9 gave me some hope tho. The chains went missing and Yui actually get pissed and calls Kitto and Nao on trying to replace her.
I'll continue reading it in hopes that this is further addressed and Yui is eventually freed from the chains for good and can just be herself.
Well, let's say there's a slight tonal shift around chapter 12-13…
Just a random thoughts...
If the manga survive and gets its own anime (which is unlikely due to the manga scoring lower on TOC ranks), I think Aoi Yūki is a perfect fit to voice both Yui. Everytime I saw Yui's artwork, I always imagine Melie, Yoshiko or Boogiepop Phantom voices towards her.
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Chapter 10: Two girls show up who want to make sure Yui is not put in chains any more. The main characters of course oppose them. This fucking manga.
I hope so, because right now the dissonance is just amazing. Like a song with cheerful melody but messed up lyrics.
I imagine Yui has more rough voice, pretty low for a girl too.
Even after the genre shift (if it's real) I still think Nao is a terrible person because any complications going on with Yui are kind of irrelevant in regards to their relationship.
Nao is despicable. It's amazing she has the gal to talk about how she cares about Yui's happiness, when all she does is put her in a coma so she can play with her doll.
Chapters 12-13: So this one girl kidnaps Yui and impersonate her so she trick Kiito into marrying her and get his money... but apparently that's triviality and the real bad guy is her brother who... thinks that spoiled rich kids who break the rules and generally act like assholes with no consequences are dragging the school image down.
And like sure, he takes it to a silly extreme with his plan, but I feel like the sense of severity has been reversed here.
Oh and White describes real Yui as "darkness inside her". Pretty sanctimonious for some fake stealing her life.
Arg, I think I need a short break.

That opinion, at least, is actually sort of grounded for reasons that aren't entirely clear yet. It just doesn't matter when it comes to Nao since we saw that black Yui was the one that helped her before.
I do pity White too honestly. Imagine constantly blacking out without knowing why, then slowly realizing that you might not be the "real" you and that you're not supposed to exist… Neither of their situations are enviable.
And yeah, we can all agree that Nao is the villain of the story.

…Okay, NOW we're talking. I was waiting for Black and White to actually interact in some way.
The series will probably get the boot anyway, so it might as well go all out in the few chapters it has left.
