While I agree that the idea behind this thread may give some indie games some spotlight, I think it might actually be better to create an individual thread for each indie game. This is because it would be even easier for the game to eventually go unnoticed again once the thread scrolls to the next page.
That, or go balls-out when talking about a certain game on this thread - include Youtube vids, links to the official site/kickstarter/Steam Greenlight/whatever, etc. A wall of text alone will drive away those who are only quickly browsing through, but a picture is worth a thousand words.
Yeah, you may have a point but oh well... The damage has been done
Hopefully I can promote some games via Youtube videos so that it won't be ignored. That and links is fine too I guess?
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."You can always talk about old games that aren't likely to get threads of their own?
Sure. That can work. But I also love to talk about new games which is fine on its own
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Sorry, this sort of topic goes in Yack Fest.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"
Well since there are no threads regarding it, I dont see no harm on starting this thread.
I actually want to create this thread to discuss some Indie Games that are either obscure or untouched of a.k.a. Under the radar games. Just like this thread, this thread could discuss some obscure games whether it was made by an Indie Developer or Bigger Game Developer whose games ended up fell into obscurity.
To start things off, there are RPG games like Witch's Heart which is a horror RPG game with a bit of a genre busting and then there's YIIK: A Postmodern RPG which is an RPG game that is a bit surreal. And then you got some games like Alchemist Code or Brave Frontier which is rather obscure to mainstream crowd but had a rather sizable fanbase.
Anyways, feel free to discuss some under the radar games you have played in this thread and feel free to give some thoughts on them ^_^
