Unlike, say, Utena, which ending he (rightfully) changed?
... And that's called jazz!Episode 5! The pattern is slightly broken this time around… We learn of Kazuki's messy family affairs, Sara reveals her kappa self (not that it was much of a secret at this point) and plays Kuji like a harp. And the zombie's not defeated this time around…
Obviously that plan wasn't gonna work so smoothly…
By the way, I must tip my hat to Adam Plaza, the French translator for the subs. The puns he comes up with are just perfect.
So at this point I suppose Sara is Keppi's runaway daughter or something like that?

Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.well then
seems some secrets are way too lodged in to actually delve into
For some reason I was under the impression going into this show that the kappa transformation would last longer than its portion of the episode so excited to see how that plays out.
Charade exposed scenes never sit well with me so I actually decided to skim those bits instead I'll probably give them a rewatch now that I know where it happens.
Haruka would probably be a lot more understanding considering how much he seems to know about Kazuki's angst issues but it's Kazuki so time to drag it out
The full Leo/Mabu song is out by the way!
…Speaking of which, why do these two still have a job? I don't think policemen are supposed to routenily kill suspects.

Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Obviously the Police force is part of the Otter Kappa conspiracy.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I found it interesting in the post-credits when the two confirm their Kappa Zombie won and Reo says "We can finally leave our police box for a while". It's amusing to think that were just stuck there for at least 4 whole days just because the protagonist kept winning.
x3: I'd say a witty remark about countries with endemic police brutality, but this is Japan...

... And that's called jazz!So one knows its already pretty common.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. So, a country with endemic police brutality? The way they get that 98% conviction rate ain't pretty.
What's precedent ever done for us?Well, at least it's still a conviction rate, not an execution rate... They seem to focus more on a screwed-up judicial system and retconning History afaik.
... And that's called jazz!I mean, on a meta-level, it is probably supposed to commentary on police brutality in Japan, but on an in-fiction level, it probably has more to do with the fact that their victims get Ret-Gone. That tends to make it a little bit harder to prove they did anything wrong.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."Episode 5:
Interesting that Sara herself is actually a kappa which made Toi had a hard time kidnapping her. In the meantime, more of Kazuki's past and it was revealed that he's adopted while her mother is still alive and feels rather distanced from his family including Haruka and feel sad that he's the guy who causes Haruka to be crippled and can't help but try to atone for his sins. And this is the first time the trio lost against zombies and Reo and Mabu out
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."I don't if it's just me but the ending of episode 4 gives me big FinalFantasyTacticsAdvance vibes.
Episode 6 breaks the pattern for good. Haruka is the first of Leo and Mabu's victims to get "love" at the coin toss, which means he was just gonna get thrown into a giant grinder instead of zombified. And Kazuki reawakens his love of soccer just to save him.
It also seems like Leo and Mabu aren't exactly on an equal footing after all.
…You know, I'm relieved that Kazuki didn't have to extract his brother's shirikodama. I guess even Ikuhara wouldn't go that far.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Episode 6:
Yeah, today's episode is about saving Haruka from Reo and Mabu's clutches to the point that he almost got into a shredder. But man, what a tearjerking reveal regarding Haruka but it ended up making Kazuki smile again and I have a feeling that Keppi is pretty suspicious tbh.
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Episodes 5 and 6: Keppi now looks extremely suspicious to me now. Not only he knew exactly where the Otters were and easily changed that crane's shape, that dark figure in the latest post-credits looks suspiciously like him, judging by the eyes.
... And that's called jazz!He did willingly let himself get mangled to save Haruka, so while he's undoubtedly got some dark secrets and a skewed worldview, he's probably not an outright villain.
What's precedent ever done for us?(Man I can't get used to "Forums" no longer being the rightmost button at the top >.<)
Hmm, I'm a little confused… is Kazuki aware that Enta is in love with him after episode 3? He doesn't seem to be…
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.I think he's aware but not acknowledging. I can see how this would be an awkward topic.
@Iaculus Might gonna wait for later future to hear more revelations as I feel the story went interesting as the time went on just like Mawaru Penguindrum even if I haven't watch it yet
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Episode 7! …Yeah, now I'm pretty sure Leo is gonna join the heroes at the end. Mabu's heart is apparently kept alive by the power of Leo's love… but at what cost?
And Enta's love woes are apparently not over yet. He's becoming a bit unlikeable I must say.
Also, Sara was Keppi's girlfriend it seems… that works too.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Episode 7:
The first half focuses on Reo and Mabu and I can't help but feel pity on Mabu. In the meantime, Toi also had to move to other city because of his brother will become one of the most "Wanted" person... Oh yeah, both Kazuki, Enta and Toi cleaned their favorite hanging spot until it was revealed that it was vandalized by Enta and he also took the dishes from Keppi for unknown reasons...The episode ended in cliffhanger. Speaking of Keppi, seems that he has an interesting relationship on Sara. In the end of the episode, Leo didn't recognize who is Mabu and the ominous figure lurks in the shadows.
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Episode 7: Holy crap, Enta, didn't know you were such a jealous bitch!
This anime is awakening my soap opera spirit that was long dormant, I gotta say.
... And that's called jazz!
The mangaka apparently confirmed the mangas connected to the anime, unlike other series Ikuhara worked on.
