-You've already been on a date with Misaki before, granted it was a double date with Leos and Sthesia!-

-The two of you are perfectly happy, the two of you are getting along great, the two of you are a good couple, the two of you are fine...-

-...So why is he a blushing red mess standing outside of the restaurant fearing that he might say something horrifically stupid?!-

-He's quiet for the moment, trying to keep from looking too nervous... Take a couple of deep breaths...-

-...OK, that helped a little...-

-He's still nervous and red, but it's not quite as bad as a moment ago.-

-...Urk, it's almost time, isn't it...? Misaki's not here yet...-

-Nothing happened, right? He highly doubts anything happened, but knowing this place...-

-No, stop it, Aichi!-

-He shakes his head, trying to dismiss those thoughts.-

-Misaki's strong, she has her armor, she's very smart... She'd be able to handle it if something happened.-

-...Although he still can't help but be nervous. Why is it so hard fighting nervousness...?-

-He sighs, looking back at the restaurant he's standing in front of. He hasn't eaten here before, but he's heard it's very good.-

-He's very excited to try it, and eating here with Misaki is even better.-

-Thinking about this puts a smile on his face, at the very least.-

-...Right, of course! He shouldn't be thinking of how this could go wrong! He should be thinking of how much fun it's going to be! Dates are fun, right? Being with Misaki at all is fun, and if dates are fun, then he should be excited!-

-Thinking about it like that gives him a burst of energy, and while he's still red he has a spark of determination.-

-...Man, seems like he's pumped now.-

-This is it! His first date (Barring the double date) with Misaki!-

-...But yes, Aichi is standing outside of Kirby's Cafe. He's the glorious blue tomato he is, but he seems calmer now... possibly even showing some hints of excitement.-

(MISAKI waves from across the street as she comes to greet Aichi. She's actually smiling, in her usual soft, understated way. She's always happy to spend time with him.)

(a YOUNG WOMAN appears out of thin air at a table, sipping a MCSMOOTHIE, not seeming to notice or care that she appeared out of thin air)

-Whereas Misaki's smile is understated, Aichi's is as bright as you could expect. You know how he gets about the things he loves and enjoys.-

-The big difference is that he's red.-

"Ehehehe, I'm glad to see you..."

-Ack, he's already struggling to think of what to say! He's smiling so broadly right now, he shouldn't be saying that he's glad, should he?!-

-Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!-

-Resist urge to twiddle fingers, resist urge to twiddle fingers!-

I'm happy to see you, too.

(She nods, and... offers a hand? Oh, goodness, hand-holding.)

(there's a flurry of activity inside even though it's nearly empty)

(The woman flinches and jumps, but quickly regains composure.)

Oh, hello! Where the hell did you come from?

"... I was in here for like five minutes. Free to look and feed, if that gets your curiosity going."

-Aichi's eyes trail down to her hand when she holds it out.-

-HE WASN'T MADE FOR THIS-

-HE WASN'T MADE FOR THE DELICATE ART OF HAND-HOLDING-

-INTERNAL SCREAMING ENSUES-

-H-He's supposed to do it, right?! He wants to do it, but what if he messes it up somehow?! What if his palms are too sweaty or what if he misses her hand or what if his legs turn to jelly or what if he faints or—-

-...Oh, look at that! He gently manages to take her hand!-

-...-

-...OK, he hasn't died yet... That's good...-

-His smile hasn't faded, although he does relax a bit when it sets in that he's not going to die from holding Misaki's hand.-

"I, um... hope there wasn't any trouble getting here..."

-With how this place is...-

-Although he does wonder what's going on inside... It doesn't look too busy, but it... feels busy?-

"...Ah, maybe we should talk more inside..."

-That's what they're here for, right? To eat here!-

-And to date! Eat and date!-

-...Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, why is his brain such a mess?!-

(Misaki squeezes Aichi's hand, trying to calm his nerves a little.) Yes, I think that's a good idea...

(KIRBY zooms up to the door like a cartoon character as they walk inside, opening the doors for them and bowing to let them pass through.)

-The tightening of her hand around his actually makes him feel a swell of giddiness. It's so hard to put into words...-

-He feels... lighter, perhaps...-

-...Yes, that's it. He feels lighter. Misaki makes him feel lighter.-

-His smile brightens more. Honestly, he's not really sure how it's possible. He already feels like he's going to explode or something...-

"Ehehehehe...!"

-He definitely does seem to calm down after that... or at least stops being nervous, now the guy feels a swell of excitement at being able to spend the time on the date with Misaki.-

-Man, Misaki just seems to have a way with this sort of thing...-

-He then sees Kirby, and notes that he... he feels familiar? He knows he's seen Kirby somewhere before...-

-...Maybe Misaki will remember? If she's seen him, then she'll definitely remember!-

-Aichi nods, smiling at Kirby.-

"Thank you."

-In the two go!-

-He does want to ask Misaki about Kirby, but this isn't the time for it. It'd be rude for many different reasons...-

"I'm excited to see what's served here. I've heard it's really good!"

-He has a healthy respect for good food, what can he say?-

Yeah... Kirby here wanted to help me out. Kirby? That's your name, right?

(the pink puffball nods and throws on a chef cap with a spin)

(then grabs menus and hands them to you)

-Kirby wanted to help them with the date? Awww, that's so sweet!-

"Really?"

-'Kirby'...-

-Wait, that's right! Kirby! Oh man, in the heat of the Skaven attack, he had only barely seen him!-

"Ah! You helped us during the Skaven attack!"

-He remembers Amnesiac and Survivor being brought to the lifeboat with that star thing of his!-

"Thank you for all of your help, Kirby!"

-He's not really sure when Misaki managed to find him and speak with him (Or how much conversation ensued to begin with. Aichi has a feeling that Kirby's not much of a talker), but he's still very thankful for this.-

-Between helping their friends and helping them with their date.-

-...? Oh! Menus!-

-He nods with a smile again.-

"Thank you..."

-He looks at the menu, seeing what all there is... all while peeking up at Misaki once in a while.-

-Ack, what should he say...? He should say something, right...?-

-He's not sure...-

-But... he is happy to be here with Misaki, he knows that much.-

-At the very least he's still smiling, and is still very red.-

(she's pulling out a moleskin journal)

(kirby nods excitedly at the praise)

(the menu is filled with a variety of KIRBY THEMED EDIBLE ITEMS)

(Misaki smiles.) What are you having?

"Ionno. You gonna finish that?"

-I-I-It's free?!-

-Aichi's eyes are actually sort of bugging out at that. Is that really all right?-

-That's... Are they really supposed to have it for free? There's no way it's just a mistake on the menu, right?-

-And it'd be rude to question it, wouldn't it?-

-Not to mention that Misaki seems to think it's perfectly OK... Maybe it was arranged prior...?-

-Holy crud, free food... Free food.-

-His eyes eventually start sparkling as he realizes he can get this stuff for free.-

-Ahhhhhhhhh, shortcake~! Shortcake~!-

-And the omelette looks good, and is that an entire roast chicken, and what about the tempura, and the pancakes...!-

-Misaki can tell that he's intently looking this over. He's like a kid in a candy store at the moment, partly because he's with you and partly because the food looks so good, ahhhhhhhhhhhh!-

-He's not used to having free rein like this! Not in restaurants! It all looks so good, and he shouldn't order too much...!-

-Oh, Misaki's asking what he's ordering...-

"Ah, everything looks so delicious... I'm not sure!"

-Hmm...-

-Hmmmmmm...-

-HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM...-

-He doesn't see any waffles, but the pancakes sound very nice!-

"...The pancakes sound really good... and the shortcake...!"

-It's not a good idea to eat both pancakes and shortcake, but they both sound so good, and wouldn't it be natural to want something extra delicious on his first dinner date with Misaki?-

"Ehehehe... What about you, Misaki? Is there anything that catches your eye?"

-Maybe he should try to make some hot dogs for her? Perhaps that cookbook Junon gave him has a good recipe...-

-The poor boy gets more red when he realizes the awkward train of thought he was going down.-

-W-What's he thinking?! Making Misaki food like that... It's too early for something like that, isn't it? He's made food for her before, but she was part of a group...-

-And he may make meals and lunches for Leos and Sthesia, but that's because they work so hard, they need to have meals ready because of their jobs, he's always ready and willing to cook, and he wants to repay them for everything they've done for him (They're like his older siblings for crying out loud! They're close to family)!-

-But Misaki... Misaki's his girlfriend! He doesn't want to embarrass her or something! He knows that some people do the whole 'bringing bento boxes to school and eating them on the rooftop' thing, but he's not sure when or how to start doing that!-

-Should he try to make her a bento box sometime? But that's also what the girl in the relationship is supposed to do, right? He likes cooking though... Would it be all right in that case?-

-What should he do? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Why's it so hard being in a relationship?! They haven't even finished their first dinner date yet, and he's a huge mess!-

-...Misaki, you may be able to tell that Aichi's getting worked up again. He's doing a really good job of hiding it in comparison to usual, but he doesn't exactly have a poker face...-

-He looks back up at Misaki, still red. Now he's twiddling his fingers as well.-

-Come on, breathe and get it out...! He's having a harder time with this than he should have... How embarrassing...!-

"...I-If I could cook for you sometime!"

-Like previously mentioned, she has tasted his cooking before. He was shockingly good then, but he's only gotten better since then.-

-And as mentioned, it was for a group of people rather than just her.-

-This is asking if he can make something for her sometime. A bit more personal than a small group.-
