The gist is that I'm making a game similar to A Link to the Past, where there's dungeons you complete to get things, and there's a level of "order" regarding how you can go through them, but it would have Breath of the Wild levels of open. I need ideas for what kind of tropes would compliment such a game. I've seen the A Link to the Past vs Ocarina of Time Sequelitis, so I've already got a thing in mind where the gameplay branches, but it all leads back towards the main goal: becoming the strongest. The dungeons can be finished in any order, though you may need to enter dungeons to obtain a move to finish a dungeon elsewhere. The game takes note of this.
