Kamen Rider Legacy

The body hit the ground hard, hard enough to let it bounce. He gave a loud grunt of pain and rolled onto his side, gripping onto his shoulder as he did, turning his gaze in front of him.

"You are this worlds Kamen Rider, yes?" Asked the seemingly uninteresting man, his gaze and voice dead, his hair ebony black and his attire something akin to a cult leader. He tilted his head to the side, staring at him with dull disinterest. "Honestly, I expected better."

"We're sorry we left him in such poor shape, sir!" Growled what could only be described as a humanoid wolf standing on its back legs. Its fur matted and clung to its fur, thick and coated in blood. "We just got too excited is all!"

"We wanted to make sure he was worthy of you wasting your time." Crooned a soft voice from the side, revealing what could only be described as a humanoid crow, completely covered in jewellery. However, upon further inspection, it wasn't just jewellery, but it was countless little objects. "He was not."

"I am aware.' Sighed the man. "So I suppose we shall simply put this world to rest then, and move on."

"Sir!" The two shouted, saluting."

"Oh no...you don't..." Hissed the man, as he slowly rose to his feet. "I'm not letting you get out of here...your reign of terror...ends here!"

"Your world is burning. Your friends and family are dead. You are incapable of facing even my comrades, let alone me. What do you think you can do?"

"Whatever...I...Need to...DO!" He threw his hands in the air. "HENSHI-!"

A beam of darkness struck him between the ribs, leaving a smoking hole through his chest. His eyes wide, he looked up, his vision growing blurrier and blurrier...and then, he plummeted on his face to the earth, unmoving, cold, and alone.

The man stared at him for a moment before lowing his hand down and turning on his heel. "Erase it all." He said to the two monsters. "And add it to my collection."

"Sir!"

The world erupted into fire a moment later, its last protector burning along with its people as the three of them vanished into a rip in space and time. In the Crow's talons was a small, glowing bauble, and in her other, a small key with an ornate design.

"Time to add another one to the collection." she cooed, adding the key to the feather on the side of her head.

"How many is that, Izzei." The man asked, turning slightly to the wolf.

Three hundred and counting." Chuckled the beast. "No one will be able to stop your plan, sir."

"You're right." The man said as he approached a balcony, looking down at the immense army of various monsters that seemed to spread onto the horizon. All manner of monsters, from Fangires, Mirror Monsters, Greeed, and more and more as far as the eye could see, standing and cheering at the appearance of the man.

"Soon, it will all be over. And soon, it will all BURN."

The man stared at the dying world before he sighed softly and shook his head. "This can't keep happening." He whispered. "It can't...I won't allow it! I need...I need to find someone! Someone who can help!" He looked down at his hands and gripped them tight...and then threw them open again. Five glimmering portals appeared in front of him, and he nodded.

"I just hope they can..." He whispered, and stepped through one of them.

So it was absolutely the case that Kamen Rider Vandal had had cleaner jobs, but on the other hand it wasn't like it would actually matter. She rode on top of a neon pink escape van, outlined in green and pale blue, set off pretty well in her opinion by the flashing lights of the police cars chasing her. She regretted not getting at the radio before she turned it into the newest version of the Vandal Raider but eh, whatever. The white eyes of her mask searched over the Tokyo streets for an escape route as she sped down.

Then she saw a gleaming portal open in the middle of the street, yelped, and swerved the Raider. She ate mad shit and rolled onto the sidewalk, the Raider flipped onto its side, and the cars either piled up into the chassis or stacked up into a cordon around Kamen Rider Vandal's sprawled form. She groaned, rolled onto her back, and stood, sighing. She threw her hands to her spraycans and held them up, defensively. "Okay, who wants to be a brand new masterpiece?" She challenged, watching the police rightfully climb out of their cars loaded for bear.

"So, what's the news, Oba-san?" A voice said, as a boy in a bike blazed through the city. While his visored helmet hid who he was, the strange machine looked more like it was a shell hiding something that the real bike.

"I don't know, Ken-chan" An older woman's voice rang on his helmet. "But there was a strange energy spike on there, be careful"

"So, not the Dukeps causing trouble?" Ken said, thoughtfully. It was tense enough with them causing misfortune everywhere, the last thing he needs is another loony to come cause trouble. Granted, if they do, he'll just jump kick them to hell, but better hope it doesn't come down to it.

"I am not sure, of anything, really" Oba-san admitted "We have to find out what it is, and if it's hostile, so don't do anything stupid" There was a bit of a warning, worried tone coming from her, but Ken just smiled, sounding confident.

"I only promise to come back alive and victorious" He said, with a strong conviction. Taking a look at a device he was carrying, he could tell it was just a Km or so away.Taking a turn and parking his bike, Ken looked around, to make sure no one was around, and took the dice on his belt.

"LET'S ROLL" Raising the dice with his right hand, he tossed it on the air with a spin. Raising his hands as the dice spun back to the Leo Maker, spinning faster and faster as he took a stance.

"HENSHIN!" With that word, a light engulfed the boy, as a black bodysuit materialized, a helmet modeled after a lion covered his face.

"LEO KNIGHT-O" Red armor, befitting a knight completed the ensemble. The warrior of justice, Kamen Rider Leo has arrived!

Walking a few meters to find a strange portal. It was different to what he's seen so far. Even his instincts told him that much. Now, the question was, what to do? Deciding to wait a second to see what came out before charging in, Kenshi Arashi took a stance, and one of his hands went to the handle of the sword on his side.

"Hands where I can see them!" Shouted one of the officers, causing all of them to lift up up their guns and various other forms of technology at the Kamen Rider in question. "Come in quietly, or we will be forced to take drastic measures!"

"Now now, there's no need for all of that." Came a nice, quiet voice that seemed to echo from everywhere, and yet nowhere. Suddenly, to the right of all the officers, a shimmering white portal appeared and quickly swiped left, causing the officers in question to vanish, leaving only Vandal and...well, a mysterious figure behind.

His hair was black with a white stripe, his right eye red and left eye blue, and currently wearing white robes with a golden sash. In his right hand was a red and gold book, opened to a page. He looked down and pressed his finger to the page in question, as he continued, "Earth 19231. I believe you're the one I'm looking for. Earth 19231 Kamen Rider...Vandal?" He looked up at her, finally.

Thankfully he didn't need to wait too much longer, as the exact same figure that appeared before Vandal appeared in front of him as well, his attention down at the exact same book he was looking at before Vandal. He was muttering to himself as he did.

"Oh dear, Earth 33212, I understand this one can be a bit hectic in terms of its monsters. I truly do hope that it doesn't take-" He looked up in surprise and jumped back a moment, almost dropping the book before grabbing it out of thin air. He looked quite frazzled for a moment before he cleared his throat and stood up straight, trying to save face.

"Yes, well, I suppose I should be thankful it didn't take me too long this time around." He said. "Are you this World's Kamen Rider? Kamen Rider..." He opened the book again. "Leo?"

It was a nice Saturday afternoon. Nancy had gotten up, prepared, and then went on patrol. For the sake of stealth, she hadn't bothered to transform.

She'd made several rounds and decided to sit for a while in a park. It was empty, which was strange for the time of day. Usually lots of people would be in it.

Suddenly, a portal opened in front of her!

Her first assumption was that it was a Tear caused by an Unraveler, but they had to do it manually, so that couldn't be it.

She took her magic needle (which she'd been using to keep her hair up, since it was the size of a hair stick) and chanted, "Stitch, sew, cut and pull! HENSHIN!"

Blue ribbons wrapped around her and turned into her magical girl garb, while the needle elongated and sharpened into a rapier.

"Who's there?" she demanded of the portal depths, while pointing the rapier towards said portal.

The Burst Cycle comes to a halt in the dusty wastelands outside of the walled city, Yuriko steps off and examines the glowing speck before her. The Comms system in her ear crackles to life.

Yuri's duster flutters as she responds, "If it is, it's probably a juvenile one. Probably need to post a camera around here...but..."

"There's been no major outbreak lately, everything's gone quiet, and now this thing shows up...maybe it's a trap? Maybe..."

The radio bursts into static. Yuriko Azami tears it from her ear with a yelp, "Shit!" as she retreats to her burst cycle, releasing her Driver from the chassis with a few keystrokes, and donning it. She takes a green Clip from her case and slams it into place.

LOCKED!

Then sends it spinning with a quick flick.

Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

AND LOADED!

"Henshin!"

The spinning halts with a clack and a green flash as Plasma's bodysuit materializes, flowing out from the belt like a liquid, the tubes stretch taut and glow with energy, and the helmet forms, a silver dome and black suit, green bug-like eyes, and antennae made from the glowing tubes wrapped about hard wire.

Kamen Rider Plasma turns the Burst Cycle to a side and crouches behind it, simultaneously drawing her Blaster from it's holster. The tubes connect to it as she loads the Pistol Clip into it and it glows green.

Following this, Plasma takes aim at the strange mini-portal, and waits...

"Come and get me, Gatian sonovabitch."

August huffed as he made his way over a bridge, a girl the same age as him waiting on the chunk of floating rock on the other side. As he came close he saw the stern look on her face; although this was hardly an uncommon interaction, Mitsuko still couldn't stand tardiness.

"If you were going to be late, you could have at least flown!"

August looked down at the Driver around his waist, the thought only occurring to him now, much too late. He almost regretted helping his father build everyone watches as all it seemed to do was quantify how late he could be.

"Uh, sorry..."

Mitsuko rolled her eyes. As she started to talk, August noticed she was standing next to an ornate wooden box.

"Very we-"

"What you got there?"

She let out a deep sigh and gave up on her sentence, instead just picking the box up and opening it. Inside was a large key, deep blue with a dolphin design on the bow. Just below the dolphin was a star with wings, the same symbol on August's hand, and on every other citizen of Ventus.

"We've crafted a new Animus Key. There are no openings at the Zephyr Guard and you did defeat that Ferox, so..."

August snatched the key and looked it over. As soon as he touched it, the symbol on both the key and his hand both glowed for a second, and it felt hot to the touch.

"Neeeat. What's it do?"

Mitsuko rolled her eyes again as she put the box back down.

"We don't know. I explained how these work; unbinding them is a pain, so if you're going to have it, you'll have to test it. Idiot."

Mitsuko never quite got the hang of playful banter but it was safe enough to assume that anything so short wasn't sincere. August, quite used to it by now, simply laughed and spun the key, causing it to seemingly blink out of existence.

"I haven't got a water key yet... This could be fun. "

Leo relaxed his stance a bit, wondering who he is, but deciding to answer anyway.

"Indeed, I am Leo" He said, warily "And you are?" He asked. Figuring out the intentions of this stranger is the first thing he can do. If not, he'll have to fight.

There was a moment of silence on the other side of the portal before, suddenly, a foot stepped out, followed by a leg, then the body of the skunk striped young man. His eyes were trained on the rapier and trailed up the arm of the...strangely dressed Kamen Rider. He held his other hand up a little bit higher, using his thumb to open his way to a random page, looking up at it. "Earth 88776, a strange one that I've rarely seen before, with a rather unconventional Kamen Rider." He looks over at her curiously. "Kamen Rider...Seamstress, is it?"

...

"Let's see here..." The voice echoes out of the portal as the figure steps out, groaning a little bit. "Earth 54544, a more...Technologically advanced world, from the looks of it. Quite a few options here, the monsters are quite terrifying, reminds me a bit of the Imagins but far worse, so it's imperative that I find the Kamen-GAH!" He almost dropped the book, holding his hands up in surprise. "I-I MEAN YOU NO HARM! you are the Kamen Rider of this World, yes!"

...

"Earth 00989. Heavily magic based, in addition to being quite unlike other worlds. Apparently, the homes, lands and what have you float about the sky? How very interesting." The figure stepped out of the portal, glancing down at the book in question. "It seems as though the Kamen Rider in this world is still fresh and new. Would it be wise to find him?" He ponders for a moment, stroking his chin before he looked down and saw his feet had no ground to stand on. With a loud scream, he plummeted high from the sky...directly in front of August and Mitsuko.

The man visibly relaxed as well and allowed the book to leave his grip, where it hovered for a moment before disappearing in little fragments of blue light. "A pleasure to meet the Savior of this World, I assure you. My name is Seisen, and I am a...well, a guardian of sorts, it seems. Something terrible has happened, and I fear i may need your help."

Plasma blinks at the man's surprise and stands, keeping him just in her sights. "Yeah, that's right. Gate Protectorate, Belt Division, Special Investigator Kamen Rider, designation Plasma." Her gaze narrows beneath her helmet. "And you? Are you with the Gatians? One of Gaziim's flunkies?"

Brusque as she sounds, there's genuine curiosity to her questioning.

Doesn't stop her from point a gun at the guy, but hey it's her job.

Nancy glowered a bit at the strange man saying she was "a rather unconventional Kamen Rider." She vaguely thought that was a jab at her age.

"Hey! I may be young, but I can still kick your can! Watch what you say about me!"

"Also, what's your business here?" she asked tersely.

Toon kicks through a screen with a burst of technicolor ink transitioning into ARMOR form, staring down the twisted visage of a cartoon mouse with white gloves.

Toon:"Back to the Ink you monster!"

Toon holds out his hand to take his ink hammer. He dashes over to the corrupted cartoon creature and swings his hammer upward sending the M.O.W. into the air, The monster Deforms into a spiked text bubble that says splat and and explodes into a million drops of clear ink.

Toon:"Thats the 8th one today, I wonder if something funky is going on"

Toon glances down at his now three quarters empty belt.

Toon::"I sure hope not... I'm almost out of ink"

"Ah!"

August jumped back as the figure landed in front of them. Meanwhile, Mitsuko reached to a sheath on her belt and drew a dagger, pointing it at the new arrival. Both looked round, trying to figure out where the man had come from and spotting the portal.

"Intruder. Who are you?"

Mitsuko spoke in a a harsh tone, similar to a few moments ago when she'd been chiding August but with a little more venom.

"Whoa, calm down."

August turned from Mitsuko to the mysterious figure.

"But seriously though, who?"

Gaziim. Make note of that name. It may be important later.

"Well, I can assure you that I mean you no harm in my travels!" He exclaims quickly, nodding his head and snapping the book shut, allowing it to fade away into blue pixels. "I have no affiliation with Gaziim or the Gaitians, I assure you. My name is Seisen. I am a...traveler of sorts, looking desperately for people who can help me...and several millions of people as well.

Scrappy one, isn't she? We may need one...despite how unorthodox.

"Well, if we were to put the rapier down and forget these hostilities, I think we may be able to come to a path wherein we don't try to kill each other.' He chuckled quietly, putting a hand on the top of the rapier and lowering it down. "I mean you no harm, I promise you. If anything, I'm in need of help. Help from a Warrior of this world, and that warrior happens to be you." He said, as he snapped the book shut in his hand.

The opening of the Portal, and the appearance of Seisen was almost comical in its timing, which seemed par the course for a Rider whose main enemies were creatures of ink. So, once he stepped forward and, thankfully, before he had a chance to open his book, he was absolutely coated in ink from almost top to bottom. He was thankful his mouth was shut at the time, and he cleared his throat for a moment. He tried to save face and try not to seem terribly embarrassed he was now covered in what could only be described as monster insides.

"Earth 21290, and...I can only assume that you are the Kamen Rider of this world, Kamen Rider Toon, I assume?" He asks, looking up at the Toon while wiping a glob of ink off his face.

...

"Everyone is so hostile these days..." He mumbled quietly to himself as he picked himself up from his prone position on the ground and grunted. Putting a hand on his lower back, he twisted it roughly and felt a loud CRACK as he sighed in relief. He looked back at the two of them, he waved his hand as if to tell them to lower their weapons, or at the least, directed solely at Mitsuko.

"I am just a humble traveler." He said, chuckling a little bit. He scanned over the two for a moment before he pointed a single finger at August. "Are you the one they call..." He opened the book again and skimmed through it. "Kamen Rider Natura?"

Mitsuko made a vague disgruntled noise as the stranger picked himself up but did at least coincide slightly and stop pointing her dagger at him, though it didn't leave her hand.

August seemed pretty surprised at being singled out, still not really used to the spotlight.

"Uh...Yeah, I guess. That's what dad said I was called."

August traced a circle in mid-air, a light-blue key appearing out of thin air and dropping into his palm as he did.

"Why do you want to know? You don't look like Zephyr Guard."

Leo wondered what he should do, after all, starting a fight against someone who doesn't seem hostile would be a bad idea. The better move would be...

"Okay, I'll listen what you have to say" He said, a bit tense still "What, exactly is going on? Are the Dukeps expanding operations or something?"

Whatever it is, he'll face it. If nothing else, he told the Doc who he thought could be a good Kamen Rider in case it was needed.

timing is everything in cartoons... Toon flys into the air startled by the rider having appeared behind him. He lands just behind seisen.

Toon:"Nope not me, You're look for that guy over there."

Toon points to a picture of himself drawn on to a nearby wall. He pats seisen on the back and waits for an opportunity.

Plasma "hm"s and lowers her gun slightly. "Seisen...memorized. And a traveler."

A shake of the head. "What a strange way to hear that word again....but...millions of people."

A tap of the foot. "It's true I'm an investigator, however...how do I know I can trust you, Traveler?"

"Oh thank goodness, fate seems to smile upon me today and make my journey that much easier." He mumbled more to himself before glancing at his book for a moment, to make sure he could note what exactly this "Zephyr Guard" was before snapping it shut again. "While I may not be of the "Zephyr Guard" as you call it, I may require your help as it so happens. The Universe...this one, and all of them as a whole...may be in danger."

...

"Far worse than Dukeps, I'm afraid." He said, shaking his head for a moment. "There is a threat. A plague. A monster, that threatens not only this Universe...but all universes." He gestures to the portal behind him and looks at him. "I know you have little reason to trust me, and I am sure your duties exist to your world...to take you from that would be selfish. But I do need as much help as I can gather. People...everywhere...they're suffering."

Seisen knew not exactly what a "Cartoon" was, due to his responsibilities so it would prove, ultimately, to be the perfect target for a good chunk of Toons shenanigans! Naive to a fault and adorably gullible, he looked to Toons and nodded his head. "I apologize good sir, thank you for guiding me in the correct direction." And turned to the drawing, approaching it and opening his book. "Are you the Kamen Rider of this world, deemed, "Kamen Rider Toons"?" He asked it, in all seriousness.

...

"I don't believe you would trust me, off the bat. However, to offer my own credibility..." With a wave of his hand, his book appeared in his grip again and he stepped forward, opening it to a random page. On that page were paragraphs, and pictures of various points in that worlds life, and in one of the more prominent pictures was the image of Plasma fighting off a Gatian in black and white. Should she choose to read some of the Paragraphs, it actually details parts of her life! "This is my Book of the Worlds. Entrusted only to those deemed worthy enough in my line of work."

Toon squares up with his hammer treating it as a golf club ready for a swing

Toon:"sorry buddy you seem like a person you talk like a person but people don't walk through portals that appear out of nowhere, and I cant have Errors running around wild."

Toon Tees off for a perfect ten point swing.

Toon:"Say Hi to the moon bunny for me!"

Reading the Book of Worlds made Plasma drop her stance. "This is...and that was...the Assault Gatian...how..."

She shakes her head again. "I'll admit...this is...impressive. The Reset, Gate's founding...everything's here..."

She gulps. "And you're saying that beyond that Gate...is a different world? Different from whatever world Gaziim's monsters come from?"

Nancy slowly sheathed her rapier, watching the strange man warily.

"I thought you were an Unraveler at first..."

She stepped closer to him.

"Who needs help, why do they need help, and how do I help?" she said bluntly.

August and Mitsuko's faces made an almost-matching look of confusion, before slowly looking at each other than back at the stranger.

"I mean... we're already in danger, here. The Ferox keep coming up."

Mitsuko shrugged, still a bit shocked from the revelation; neither of the pair had even gone down to the surface, so the universe was perhaps a bit too big-picture. Before giving anyone a chance to respond, August blurted out again.

"And what from anyway? And more universes? That's... too much. How do you know all this? Who even-"

"Slow down, August. Though my friend here does have a point. You want help, we're going to need a little more."

The Seisen shaped hole in the ceiling was quite comical, leaving behind him a trail of dust and a figure made out of dust in the shape of Seisen. There was a moment of pause, before a SECOND portal opened up beside the first one and Seisen stepped out, rubbing at his face and adjusting his windswept hair. He cleared his throat. "So, for all intents and purposes I'm going to ignore what just happened." he cleared his throat and clapped his hands. "I'll simply skip to the end. I need your help with something, Kamen Rider."

...

"Different from everything you're used to. You know of two works. This world, and the one wherein the Gaitians reside in. Beyond this door...hundreds...thousands...millions of worlds. Each unique, each beautiful..." He turned to her entirely, a look of seriousness on his face. "And each and every one in danger. You're one of the few that can help."

...

A moment of relief crossed over his body, and it was very evident in his body language. "Everyone." He states, very plainly. "Everyone needs your help, everywhere. Each and every universe that exists in the entirety of the multiverse is in grave, terrible danger." He points behind him, to the Portal. "And You can start...by coming with me, into the center of the Universes."

...

"I knew it would come to this. I don't blame you for your disbelief." He walked over to the two of them, pulling his book from thin air and held it up to them, open to a random page. On this page, however short it may have been, due to the fact that Natura was still relatively new, but it did show him the very first battle he had with the Ferox, along with the very conversation they were having at this very moment. It spoke of him gaining the new key mere moments ago, the belt being created... "I am the Guardian of the entirety of the Multiverse. I see all. And all is dying."

Even without being able to see his face, one could tell how the news affected Leo. The boy went grim, any cockiness nearly disappeared from him, as his body went still.

"Did you hear that, Doctor?" He said, in the end, not looking at anyone.

"Yes, I did, Kenshi" A grave voice rumbled on the helmet. "What do you think?"

"This is big" He said, sounding more solemn than he probably ever did "Way too big, if there is something I can do, I have to participate. The new project, let the others decide who should be the next Kamen Rider" He resolved.

"Imagined that, the second Maker is nearly finished" The Doctor said. "And, don't die"

Finally looking at Seisen, he stood determinedly.

"So, what's the plan?" He asked.
