I hope Alice is the one who dies. Kate would deserve a good sister (yeah, I know she already has one ) so, so much. And Alice can't carry a whole season, she is already starting to overstay her welcome.
Though she did have a strong presence throughout the episode. These flashbacks were really sad, hope Cartwright got what he deserved....

My stories on AO3.Yeah! Lew Carroll is back!
No, seriously, I thought they forgot about him.
Caught up. The Alice/Beth thing was great, and I really liked that Kate brought Mary in on it. Mary is wonderful, and Kate ignores her too much. Sooner or later, she's going to figure out that Kate is Batwoman and have even more of a presence.
I am definitely worried that they're gonna kill off Beth for the easy angst but this show has been mostly good about that sort of thing, so maybe not. Killing Alice would be too easy of course, but maybe combining them into Red Alice, as suggested, would work. Instead of a crazy villain who Kate is projecting some positive qualities onto, we get a villain who actually has positive qualities. Like maybe she's still a criminal but she's no longer killing people or something.
Well, as we saw the episode before this, Alice does have some positive qualities. Her affection for Kate and desire to make her life better are genuine. It's just she's also insane, so doesn't comprehend how are actions are having the opposite effect.
EDIT: NVM. I'm done.

Ok, who let Light Yagami in here?So I wonder if this detail about dimensional doppelgängers will have any affect on Winn.
Edit: Ah poop.

One Strip! One Strip! This series just keeps getting better. Wish they had committed to such a big change, but the way it came about was okay.
My stories on AO3.Oh my god. I mean, the whole "antidote can save you from being a multidimensional anomaly" thing was stupid, but other than that, what an episode.....fuck, Kate just can't catch any break
Certified: 48.0% West Asian, 6.5% South Asian, 15.8% North/West European, 15.7% English, 7.4% Balkan, 6.6% ScandinavianWell, it doesn't save you, so much as let you survive just a tiny bit longer. Just long enough for your doppelganger to die a little bit before you do, at which point the problem goes away.
Though, it's been a while since Mary got poisoned and then cured. Does she just have a miracle anti-toxin in her veins permanently now?
She very well could, depending on how the cure-all works. It is a cure-all, after... uh, all.
My stories on AO3.This episode would have made so much more sense pre-Crisis.
Why were Kate and her friends fumbling around instead of Kate calling Barry and Kara to take Beth to get some actual medical care safely?
Why use Luke to get her out of the city instead of calling Barry, Kara or Sara?
There's no point in putting everyone on the same Earth if they're not going to do anything with it.
Well, I'm sure they also have to take into account that the others are busy.
Ollie played the Barry card only rarely himself. Even in his most notable use of it (the first time in season 3) Barry could only help a little bit (though taking out the entire League of Assassins single handedly is a admittedly strange definition of a little bit) because he was still in the middle of his own season finale and dealing with Wells-obard.
That being said, with their speed, Barry and Kara can usually spare a few seconds, and Sara can quite literally pop up at any time, so I can get your annoyance. the best way to put it is that they are faithful to the comics. Heroes don't call each other for help nearly as much as they should.
One Strip! One Strip!Yeah, it's probably just as simple as Kate not wanting to bug them with her own problems, especially if she has ways of solving them already.
My stories on AO3.
Except she had no way of handling it until the very end.
I know that people not asking for help when they should is one of the hazards of a shared universe, but this time it struck me as being particularly egregious.
Perhaps it's because the whole situation was presented as being so hopeless and Kate and her team being so out of their depth. Usually when heroes don't ask for help, they manage on their own, but it just felt really irresponsible this time, especially since it failed at the end.

She's still new. She hasn't gotten used to needing to call for help yet.
Yeah, lame excuse, but that's what I'll go with, in addition to what I said above.
One Strip! One Strip!I know, but plenty of people are hesitant to ask for help in real life, even in extremely important matters. This just... isn't odd at all.
My stories on AO3.I think the reason it's so noticeable here is because "parallel universe doppelgangers need an emergency cure to stop their co-existence from destroying each other" sounds very much like a Team Flash problem, so it feels weird that they don't get a call.
It's like if Barry had had some problem that could only be solved by archery, and relied on what he can remember of an archery course he took in summer camp, rather than calling up a certain green hooded friend of his.
Or if team Arrow suddenly had to deal with aliens. Or if Supergirl got a time travel incident.
Wake me up at your own risk.I forget... does Kate actually know that's what team Flash specifically deals with?
My stories on AO3.
I liked this episode. My favorite part was Beth pretending to be Alice. Rachel Skarsten really killed in this episode. Both Beth and Alice are easy to tell part not just in hair style, but also in subtle body language.
