This is kind of an uncomfortable question, but are any going to buy any of the future volumes? I recently got the first one but I'm really unsure about continuing to get them.
Can't think of one.I’d like to buy them to support Usazaki, at least… provided the French publisher continues the series, which they may not.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.I kind of think Shueisha knows this isn't any reflection on Usazaki herself. They commented they spoke to her before deciding to cancel.
I only buy volumes of my favourite arcs/spreads and the physical releases that were translated never got that far so no.
The guy is in jail so I don't think he'll gain anything even if I did spend money on it and he's not the only creator
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysI agree w Lyendith if the French edition continue to release the others 10-11 volumes I gonna buy them because I enjoy reading all the chapter every weeks and still can't believe he did that traumatize 2 teenagers and destroy his career and the illustrator and the entire staff what a idiot bastard😡🤬🤬
I have a question, it's a stupid one (sorry..) but let's say he did is sentence for example 1-2 years in prison or whatever like a forfeit ok. If he decided to continu Act Age what are u doing, would u read it or not. No judgement just opinion 👌
When he’s served his sentence, apologized to his victims and everyone else and genuinely cleaned his act, maybe. But without Usazaki’s art it just wouldn’t be the same anyway. =[
Yeah i agree she has such a unique style and the story can't be the same
Can’t wait to read the new chapter tomorrow. Last week I had that weird dream that the series was cancelled or something, but thankfully that didn’t really happen.
…Right?
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.I'm sorry but we've got to move on until jump releases another non-battle shounen series that can fill the hole

Viz Media removed all traces of the series from their website (barring the cancellation notice), and physical volumes of the series won't be reprinted, meaning Vol. 1 will be the only physical English release ever.
down the memory hole it goes

Enjoyment and Excitement!Damn, they went full Unperson on it.
I’m starting to think this is a little extreme… Just cancelling the series was enough, no need to erase it from existence, goddammit…
Frankly, if it sets a precedent for future cases, I'm all for it.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.I do wonder if they would have gone that far if AA was already a big franchise with an anime…
One predictable last nail in the coffin: the French publisher Ki-Oon will not publish the rest of the series either. Volume 3 was supposed to come out next week.
Well, guess Viz doesn't have to worry about filling in those missing chapters!
Mangaplus took it down too. Man, to be a Japanese-speaking fly on the wall for the talk with the artist that led to this.
It’s awfully fitting that the last panel of this series that will ever be published is that of a woman standing in front of a grave…
Well that is forboding.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The final chapter has been translated on Mangadex, for those curious. And well, it’s probably one of the last few places where the series will remain available.
Utsuzuki also put out an official statement on her Twitter. She said that although it's sad, cancelling the series is the only responsible choice and begged Japanese fans to stop attacking the girls who reported Matsuki's assault.
...What the fuck, Japanese fandom?
Since automatic translations have some mistakes in them, I’ll quickly summarize it:
- Usazaki praises the girls for the courage of speaking up.
- She notes that the psychological wounds of sexual assault don’t heal easily; the victims will be scared of men who look like Matsuki when walking in the street, and such. And that just seeing Act-age on the shelves could trigger awful memories for them.
- Having to stop the series midway guts her as much as the fans, but said fans’ laments should not put an even heavier burden on the victims. Also, shaming the victims for what happened is not okay, which should be obvious. They did the right thing, and she took the right decision in consequence.
- She thanks everyone for their support, says that manga saved her just as it saved other people, and prays that the victims can heal and live a normal life after this.
…This message helps me move on from my slightly petty frustration, honestly. I cannot imagine what feelings she will put in her next series − especially if she’s also the writer this time around.

Apparently the stage play was cancelled too. Damn, this is brutal; if literally anything else other than the author being a criminal creep had happened, the story would at least get to have a legacy.
