First look at the Sunfire knights from Season 2. No way to check on the animation from a still though.
Huh, weird to think season 2 will be out soon. I kinda completely forgot that is going to be a thing but we still don't know much about it I think
So they're listening! Excellent. Let's see how this turns out.
yeyThey probably should have announced this earlier, but maybe they weren't sure they'd be able to do it and didn't want to over promise.
Season 2 trailer!
Animation looks better. Framerate seems a bit more consistent too. And it appears the story will go a little deeper this time, which I'm happy with.
Also, I'm still throwing my hat on the "Claudia is a villain" camp.

He is right about Human Rayla being the best character
Jokes aside, I'm more wondering if Soren is in evil camp or if he can not blindly follow the orders Claudia is kinda in "I think she literally doesn't realize dark magic is evil even when performing human sacrifice" camp
On instinct he took a shot from the Assassins aimed for the Princes.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I mean, yeah, its kinda hard to believe he could go through with it, but same could apply to "Could Claudia not rescue his brother in favor of the dragon/egg/whatever?" I mean she wasn't even told of the assassination plan
But on otherhand still kinda hard to imagine they would join the group since 6 is bit large number for regular cast

On the official website, new locations added to the map and new characters added.
Season 2 will be the same length as season 1, 9 episodes.

Season out and stuff
Still liking it.
I like Aaravos aka the super pretty space dark magic mirror guy with the deepest voice
Dagnabbit watched it and it feels too short. I mean that is good thing since it means I want to see more and I didn't feel like "Ah yeah, I have to see how this continues" at end of season 1 even though I liked it well enough to be interested in seeing how it continues
I wonder if they plan exactly 6 seasons...I mean, there are six kind of Nexus, right? Or elements, or whatever. And if the first season dealt with Moon and the second with Storm, then there are four left, right?
I'm under impression that is the plan, but I'm not sure why.
Anyway, nice to finally see the promo poster dragon
Also, can't really tell where Claudio's development will go since it still feels like she is standing on slippery slope. Also this is a season that sets up a lot of stuff for next season, so we won't find out the results yet so that is part that makes me feel like "aww man, how it will continue"

We've seen similar with other Netflix shows and even other TV shows.
The Legend of Korra was greenlit with only 1/2 season's worth of episodes, but then given a full season order mid-way through production. They didn't quite have a way to extend the plot as it had a conclusive beginning, middle, and end. So they just made the back half a new season. The same thing happened with the next two 'seasons' as production-wise they're all one full order. Legend of Korra was technically only two seasons, not four.
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina was also green lit with about 12 episodes for its first season with a holiday special in December. 'Season 2' was announced to release in April, but it probably all comes down to marketing the back half of a season as Season 2. Presumably the same will be true of the announced 'Season 3 and 4' renewal of last month.
Its probably a smart move as I do think many shows have struggled with a split year. Taking a month or two off for the holidays can really mess with pacing or properly setting a cliffhanger or story break, so just calling one half a full season and another half a separate season might be easier. All you have to do is restablish characters, motives, and set in a new plot rather than doing all of that AND being in the middle of a story that the audience will likely have forgotten the details of during the break.
