That San Francisco stages look phenomenal & Yugi looks better than I could've ever imagine. Too bad he can't go more nuts with his Duel Monsters but that's asking far too much.

I wonder if this means Gear Fourth Luffy, Hakka no Togame Rukia and Gon-san could actually be playable as their ultimate forms...

It's kinda irritating they're aren't & function as ultimate attacks as of right now. Although I had no idea Luffy's Gear Fourth was an ultimate attack instead of transformation. That's pretty annoying

Well, Gear Fourth Luffy was already playable in Burning Blood, and since all the OP characters so far borrow attacks from that game, it'd make sense if they just reuse it's assets to make it a playable transformation.

Something I find funny is that, since Goku can use Kaioken Attack as a super, this technically means Super Kaioken and Blue Kaioken are in the game, at least briefly.

Actually, if I'm being more technical here, but with such a drastic transformation for both Gon's adult form & Ichigo's bankai wouldn't the it have to function as an ultimate? It's not like it's impossible to have it function just like a transformation would but that would require new animations for the both of them. Unless I'm missing something here & that's not how Naruto's Kyuubi & Sasuke's Susanoo work either, they're both ultimate attacks.

I have some issues with adult Gon being a thing you can do at all, TBH. That's a technique that really should be treated like Android 16's self-destruct Super in Dragonball Fighterz.

Now that I think about it, all we've seen is Ichigo's Half-Hallow form, I don't know if we've seen his ultimate transformation yet.

I feel that would've worked if each character had their own lifebar, but they're doing a Tekken Tag Team where the whole team shares life. At the very least, doing Gon's ultimate does knock you to your next fighter after it's done.

Also interesting detail is one of the attacks listed is "Pegasus Meteor Fist" which is a Saint Seiya attack.

Meaning Saint Seiya is confirmed because the other attacks listed like the Red Hawk & Spirit Gun are used by in-game characters.

Honestly not surprising, but definitely a relief. That reminds me though, will there be people who'll datamine this beta. It's been done with Xenoverse and FighterZ before.

With Seiya being more or less confirm, it's unlikely we would be getting any Saint Seiya antagonists. I'm not really all that familiar with the series/franchise but those guys live to title of Gods & then some. Could be an exaggeration (probably not given their titles) but those guys can give the Celestials a run for their money. Don't quote me on that.

If we get anymore Seiya characters beyond just the lead, they are undoutably gonna be a Gold Saint.

Those guys are the Spotlight Stealing Squad of the entire franchise with multiple spin-offs about them.

There is a spin-off manga about a team of female Saints & it apparently pretty much becomes about the Gold Saints. Even its first visual for its upcoming anime puts the Gold Saints at focus while the titular characters are in the foreground like their just a bunch of supporting/minor characters.

I doubt people would be complaining about more Saint Seiya reps in general.

As far I can remember, Seiya has been the only playable character from his series.

I didn't say or mean people would be complaining.

My point is that a Gold Saint whoever among them has a very high chance of making it into the game alongside Seiya.

Kinda like how Sabo made it into the game. All that stuff I said was just to emphasize how big they are.

I wasn't trying to say you were complaining their inclusion & I'm basically saying that more Saint Seiya reps in general wouldn't be bad thing at all.

Ah gotcha then.

They are a classic franchise so they should have a sizable enough inclusion after all.

If they were to add more characters to Saint Seiya, I have a feeling it'd be Dragon Shiryu and Hades. Maybe they could pull a DBS and add Pegasus Koga as a semi-clone, but I doubt it.

Not surprised Seiya is getting in with the reboot due next year.

If a second character gets in it will either be a Gold Saint or Shuryu/Phoenix Ikki. One of the two.

Cool cool, I called Dragon Shiryu! Also it looks like they can revert back to clothless human forms. Also, the stage seems to be Aztec pyramids from Mexico combined with Silbern from Bleach. Kinda fitting for Saint Seiya characters to be revealed in a Mexico stage.

EDIT: Hold up, I just noticed a crashed airplane on the stage, and it looks like it matches the one Joseph crashed at the end of Battle Tendency.

This should be one of Yami Yugi's attacks in "Jump Force".

I mean, it let him block a sword that one time in that filler arc, so there's that.

I signed up, but didn't get a key. Sucks, the beta actually looks fun. Plus it's be easy to datamine the files to what they accidentally left in.

I'm honestly surprised that it's been this long and yet we still have no information on My Hero Academia's potential involvement. Like, if characters from that series are in, I would've thought that they'd be announced a while before now due to how big it is currently.

It probably just isn't in.

It’s Jump’s new big thing with a successful ongoing anime already going up to 4 seasons & a movie that did very well both nationally & internationally.

It’s just common sense to put em in this game.
