Well, I'm glad to see Seth back at least.

But man, this arc is really subverting expectations if you thought this would be like Fairy Tail or even Rave.

For a second there i thought Shiki would get a anger fueled power up because Joe hurt his friends.

• sigh* Mashima about to bait me into reading another one of his series...fuck.

Yeah a bit surprised that the initial failed attack by his forces actually did not fail at all.

Yeah, almost certain we're going to time travel now.

But man, it's going to be so satisfying when Draken Joe finally gets put down.

Unless Mashima plans on shocking us and keeping Shiki dead, then I agree that Time Travel has to become a thing now.

But wow. We were all expecting a twist with Weiss supposedly getting his arm chopped off, but no. It happened. And now Shiki is actually dead. meanwhile, Sister, Hermit and Witch were all taken out without even knowing there was a threat. This is getting ridiculous, but if they really do go back in time, I think they'll know not to mess with Joe until they're ready.

It also dawns on me that if this was FT, Shiki would have somehow bounced back from this. It feels like Mashima is going out of his way to be different.

FT already pulled something similar during the dragon invasion arc.

I'm legit more interested in a Mashima work thhan i've ever been, in the past, because of a spoiler for the recent chapter that I read (That is to say, more than zero).

I'm not sure if I'll pick up this manga yet though. I think I'll wait a bit, to see if the series capitalizes on the potential of what has been set up now. Like, this isn't the first shonen action manga to flat out kill their hero but damn, you really don't see this often still.

Yeah this arc may be what gets me to collect the manga.

This series has been surprisingly pretty good so if this arc maintains this level of interest I might as well collect the trades.

Shiki gets shot: "nah he's not dead". Omniscient Narrator: He's dead. "OH FUCK HE's DEAD"

Yea we're going to quantum leap or something, but holy hell this just upped my level of interest

Here's a new Mashima interview. The main thing seems to be that Edens Zero will be between Rave and FT in length?

So it'll last about eight years?

Chapter 84: Rebecca's Ether Gear is apparently some kind of Reality Warper or Time Travel power. Her desire to see her friends again apparently sends her back in time.

It also gives her cat ears. Damn now she can save everyone.

Would have preferred we see a bit more of the world after what happened, but eh.

So we have confirmation it seems. I wonder how much she remembers, because considering how the arc started, this is at least the second time she's done this.

The most interesting part of the chapter wasn't the part everyone called. No. It was more hints towards the fact that Laguna is probably going to end up joining the Edens Zero crew.

He's not the one I'd have expected to be honest.

I mean, he started off as a normal antagonist when he first showed up, and got beat just like anyone else.

Although his method of taking them down was actually the least violent. I don't even think he caused physical harm.

He did a few times in order to try and cause Tears. Still would not call him a good person as he is a willing ally of Drakken.

It took me a moment to realize, but yea she had the weird "dream" in ch69 so the implication is this is indeed the second time at minimum.

So that first dream probably happened.
