Char - Robodinoland

"It's not normally that...bad. At least it hasn't been yet. Had I know you were going hunting after that magician was rescued I would have stuck around to help. I only even came back because she-"

He jerked a thumb over towards M16.

"wanted to go hunting for a beetle on this side. Anyway I'm glad to see you came back alright. Hope Eve or that scientist with the cat ears can make use of what you brought back...also I think you're gonna need some help getting all this back through the gate."

Gespenst - Starting Hill

The black mech nodded. It would be a simple method of communicating...but it was going to be better than nothing, unless he wanted to turn every conversation into a game of twenty questions.

Hiccup - Meeting

"I'll see what I can do," Hiccup said.

"I'd offer to help, Toothless and I can blow up any ships or buildings before they know what hit them, but I don't know if you'd want that, seeing as you're planning on using them, and you might not want me to cripple them. Although, it might stall them long enough to go to them before they come here..." the Viking pondered.

Kaga - Meeting

"There isn't really any thing more I can think of off the top of my head, no" Kaga replied to enterprise, giving a nod to the others agreeing to help with the mission. "Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.... Speaking of which? M16? can you use one of your bodies to gather the crew up? I need to see if there is any volunteers from them as well, plus get them to start prepping the ship"

It was then however that a woman covered with guns rounded the corner, causing her ears to perk up a bit. "I do not have any maps on myself, no, maybe one of the others do?

Ragnite Mine

Rico followed Siluca back up the stairs. All the while, though, he didn't let go of the chunk of Ragnite he carried. It looked almost like this was a separate type of material from Bavarium... separate, but no less dangerous, it seemed. "Out of one frying pan, into another," he muttered. "Exactly where I excel."

Taking a few moments to breathe in the fresh air - he wasn't sure if he was going to be down in the mine itself or up here, and he wasn't too sure whether or not he preferred being in the room with high explosives strewn about it or being exposed to somebody with a reliable means of long-range attack - he followed Siluca into the airship.

Alalia, God Tree

Taking her own leave, Alalia stepped outside and watched as the dragon woman took to the sky with wings of her own. A moment later, the dryad's own leaf-like pair flared into existence and she took to the air and began to fly towards the more active section of the city proper; Curious to see if her new idea was at all viable.

Bowsette, Hill

Bowsette growled under her breath out of frustration, smoke curling from her nostrils as she reigned in her temper before she lose it entirely at the clueless princess. She gave the new arrival on the hill, another shooter character judging by the gun in her hand, a barely passing glance, her mind trying to figure out how to explain such a simple and well-known fact to a delusional character.

"Of course it's real life!" The koopa stated entirely calmly, if perhaps a little loudly. It certaintly wasn't barely below a shout. And she certainly didn't stomp hard enough to shake the ground slightly and hunch over in her trademark pose. "But whatever it is you believe is going on here, it's not real! I don't know if it's part of your programmed story or what, but I'm not in the mood for it!"

Growing frustrated with the wall she was hitting with Cagliostro, the redhead spun and jabbed a finger at Rukia. "You! You're not from here are you? What game are you from?"

Rukia - Hill of Origin

Rukia's confusion was quite visible when the metal man innocently waved at her. Why could it see her? On top of that, a red-haired woman with horns then pointed directly at her an asked her a question. That pretty much settled the fact that this place did not follow the same rules as the Human World. Rukia's face started turning pretty red when she realized that her outburst was seen be all.

Taking a moment to figure out what the woman was asking, Rukia realized that it made no sense at all. "Game? What do you mean? I'm from Soul Society. From what I overheard, we're all from different worlds." she said, trying to forget her embarrassment.

Oscar, Diplomacy 102, Hill of Origin

Apparently, the main cause of the commotion (one of the many; there was an overabundance of newcomers around) was the man(?) in the strange armor and the wagon(?) with thick armor. "Chi-He"? What kind of name was that? The implication in the girl's words seemed to be that these odd vehicles were mass-made, too... Well, he could recognize a cannon on top of the wagon, but somehow Oscar doubted that it worked anything like a cannon on a ship.

"I would hope not. Those that appear on this hill generally are... more reasonable..." The exorcist said, carefully weighing his words (after all, the loud woman over there talking about a "game" was one example of the defiance of this rule). The man in the strange armor addressed him as "gue'la", admonishing him for a threat of violence. Ha. Hypocrisy of the highest order.

"My malak's presence is mere prevention, should someone find themselves too trigger-happy." He replied evenly, but it was obvious he was referring to O'kais. "Now then, let me welcome you to Frontiers. I am Oscar Dragonia of The Abbey, aide to Lady Enterprise of Eagle Union." The exorcist introduced himself with a salute. "To make a long story short, we've been chosen, either by a higher being or a deceptive daemon, to shape this world and give it life. I trust everyone here adheres to principles of reason and greater good to see why a virgin land like this would need guidance."

"Now, if you intend to help, there is a few manners of lending your aid. One would be to join the ranks of Eagle Union." He said, watching the self-proclaimed demon hunter leave out of the corner of his eye. "We are currently planning to rebuild and reinforce before we take down the barbarous Fire Nation. I understand if you wish to remain unaligned, and I will respect that choice" The exorcist frowned, preparing the inevitable "if" in his generous offer. "unless you were to ally with these backwards savages or the treacherous Sakura Empire. Beware a woman with fox ears and blue eyes, who rules over the latter." A beat. "The other one, not the one in the... tank, you called it?"

Mokou, Wendy's

-So no pipes. Then again, this woman may not have heard of them either, so there is still hope.-

And what's your job here?

O'kais, Hill

-The human's response requires careful consideration. Though he sees the wisdom in interspecies cooperation, he is a psyker, and thus possibly unstable and non-representative of his own kind's opinions. His offer of alliance may not even be approved of by his fellows, just as gue'va'sa offers of peace are viewed as treachery by their unenlightened brothers, and more information must be obtained on this Eagle Union and Sakura Empire before committing to an alliance.-

-However, he seems to know about these beast-man hybrids, and the concept of Tau'va may more easily find acceptance in a mind not filled with faith. The fact that he does not know what a tank is is not a major drawback, many humans who join the Tau are of similarly limited advancement.-

I am the Shas'o Kais of T'au, gue'la. I will consider your offer... but what do you know of these strange-eared humans?

Omega - Hill of Origins

Oscar and O'Kais would find themselves joined by Omega, the pale woman earth-bound and walking to conserve energy now that combat maneuverability wasn't required.

"I am Omega, adaptive autonomous weapon system." Social greeting ritual - complete. Proceeding to interrogation. "I require further elaboration on the nation-states you previously mentioned: Eagle Union, Fire Nation, Sakura Empire."

She had overheard the blonde-haired human talking and moved to investigate. Nations were one of the ways that mortals organized and supported one another. In the past, she had largely ignored this avenue of research, but now a chance had presented itself to change that.

Yukari, TANK TANK TANK TANK Hill
"You're running the whole thing BY YOURSELF?!" Holy Mother of Tank, this crewwoman was something else! Just because it was some kind of parade piece didn't phase Yukari at all, she should totally be able to run it well enough. They just don't let anyone drive these things, you know?

Still, she probably was another person in this ridiculous world of kidnapped people, and that meant that she might be separated from her friends. In practice this meant something much more selfish: 4 open positions for the moment!

Yukari eagerly slapped the rivet a few times, and she shouted "CAN I COME IN? I've never driven a tank before, but I know all about them! I'll help you any way I can!"

M16A1 - Adventurer's Guild Hall

"On it," M16 said with a nod. One of the M16ettes took her leave, exiting the hall to go do as Kaga had instructed.

Naga - Adventurer's Guild Hall

"My job? Why, I am Naga, the Great White Serpent, dohohoho!" Naga proclaimed loudly to Mokou.

"I oversee this great hall, protecting all those within from the dangers without. You see, when we first came to this land, and those who had gathered spoke of creating governments and kingdoms and clans, I stood out from the others and declared that I would make a place for souls like myself to gather, so that we could be removed from the petty squabbles of the others, and instead focus on what is truly needed - adventurers! With that out of the way, I put up the request board so that people from all over the world can post jobs for adventurers, and warriors and sorceresses can advertise their services! And in my great wisdom, I took on an apprentice with a great mind for marketing and meal preparation, creating the great restaurant you see before you now. Also we have Juri!"

She turned her head and waved both her hands at Juri.

"Juri! Juuuuri! We have a new friend! She's going to be working with Wendy!" Naga shouted across the area at the woman in question.

"Juri is very good at kicking things. The best, even. We could all learn a thing or two from her," she added to Mokou, elbowing her and pointing at Juri with her thumb.

Lady (Guild Hall)-Opportunity laughs

Lady frowned, as it seemed no one had any sort of map on them. Unfortunate. She was about to excuse herself when her attention was drawn by a very annoying sounding laugh, and she looked over to see.....

....She really had no idea what the hell to make of the outfit. Had the woman lost a bet or something? More importantly, however, it seemed that this woman was the owner of the building, and from the sounds of it, she was looking for exactly the kind of tenants that Lady happened to be. "Adventurer" was probably the wrong type of word, a bit antiquated, but close enough for her. Turning, she adjusted her rocket launcher as she walked over.

"So, looking for warriors? As it so happens, I'm newly arrived to the city, and I'm going to need a place to stay, set up an office."

She extended a hand.

"Name's Lady, Demon Hunter. How much is it going to cost me to rent an office here?"

Chun-Li & Juri, A "Friendly" Meeting

By the time Naga was trying to get Juri's attention, the latter was in the middle of a Street Fight against Chun-Li with both blaming the other for starting it. Kicks were flying from both sides as each tested the other's skill. And despite the apparent existence of a fight between the two Street Fighters, both had chosen a far-off dark corner to fight in away from the meeting between the boatgirls or Naga and Mokou's table. Ducking one of Chun-Li's Spinning Bird Kicks, Juri walked back over to the table Naga and Mokou were at.

"Yeah, I'm good at kicking things," Juri said to the two, having only heard a little of the conversation. Thankfully, Chun-Li had decided this was a good time for a break from the the fight as well.

Robodinoland

"Ah, I believe I do. The jeep cannot handle going down the stairs on the other side... and really, from what I saw on the other side this appears to be the only vehicle to be used by the nearest bandit group so it seems that this was their ace-in-the-hole so to speak... at least before our people flipped the vehicle." Chuckling in a knowing way, the old man gave a nod to Char about the whole scientist crafting comment.

"Indeed, that is why me and Eve have went wandering on the other other side. We hope to be able to use the existing parts to jumpstart our own technological base if possible seeing as they are leagues more advanced than anything seen on this side of the portal. If you help us out with transport then a share of the profits can be yours as a token of cooperation. We're all in this together after all." Given the red mech was proclaimed gatekeeper, a little bit of honey was in order if they were to be able to use the structure more easily in the future.\\\

Knowing full well how military types worked, the old man decided to compromise for the moment. He knew full well the power that connections wrought after all... and how the majority could blame the minority for what went wrong. No, it was best to build as solid a foundation as possible so that the stability could afford survival through the winds and waves that would arise through the conflicts.

Hill of Origins

"Excellent. Just give me a moment." Grabbing hold of the nearby tree branches, Cagliostro hummed before a magic circle orbited around her palm and went to work in turning the wooden fibers into that of paper before it bundled itself into a large stack of bound blank pages. A ballpoint pen was also generously donated to the Gespent so that he would actually have something to write with as well before the writing package was handed over. "And there we are, the first step to communications are established."

Turning her attention to Omega with a knowing look (one of THOSE types huh), Cagliostro gave a slight shrug at the mention of the ship girl factions. "Sakura Empire and Eagle Union I don't know all that well though there are a couple of such individuals hailing from those countries should you want to meet them later. They're rather well known. As for Fire Nation..."

Putting her alchemy to work once more, the philosopher would then use her techniques to mold the earth into the miniature forms of the various units (with very well wrought attention to detail even) that she knew of before telling the eager to learn (for the wrong reasons) autonomous life-form the pertinent data gathered from the townspeople and gangpressed POWs. "That should answer your questions for now I suppose."

Airship

As the Tigers saw that the guests had come down with their cubs safe and sound, excited yips and howls rang out in the surrounding full of unconstrained joy even as parents and children rushed to nuzzle and lick at each other in a heartwarming display of love. "You have the thanks of this Tiger pack for what you have done... if you ever need us to repay the favor, do not hesitate to contact us." Dipping his head in a bow, the blue-furred Tiger with a substantially more softened attitude gave the two-legs a look of heartfelt gratitude before leading the remainder of his group back into the forest.

When Siluca would come back into the airship proper, she would find that a couple of Firebenders were busily setting fire to various bundles of notes in a hurried fashion even as the more youthful rookies just stared at them due to indecisively being caught between the people who beat them and the forceful pride of their superior officers who were busy trying to salvage the really bad situation that had befell them before they were promptly frozen by a sneaky Jack Frost who then got to work at tossing ice at the remaining half of the notes that could be at least salvaged.\\\

Naga - Adventurer's Guild

"A tenant? Wonderful!" Naga exclaimed when Lady approached, eagerly shaking her hand with both of her own.

"Oh, rent, ah, well, you see... this place doesn't exactly have... money," she tried to explain. "Or it does, but nobody's really agreed enough about what to use. Why, some folks don't even use coins, and try to pass off scraps of paper as if it has some sort of value!"

"What I mean to say," Naga began to clarify. "Is that for the time being, the rent is...."

"Fffffffffffffffff......." She slowly started to sound the word out, as if it physically pained her. "Free."

She coughed slightly and cleared her throat.

"For now. In my infinite generosity I've decided to sympathize with my fellow man, as in these trying times we must strive to help each other," she explained. "And I can't in good conscience demand payment without first establishing a healthy respect for gold coins. But worry not, I, Naga the Serpent, am hard at work solving this problem, so that one day all adventurers can count on being paid in coins, rather than parchments with funny little drawings on them."

"In any case, welcome aboard, the top two floors are reserved, and this one is more for storefronts than for lodgings, but the rest of the building is free, any empty space should be free to claim." She leaned forward. "Though I'd suggest you have a healthy distance from where the more agriculturally-inclined villagers are residing, once we find them some sheep and goats to look after it'll stink."

M16A1 - Robodinoland

"Token of cooperation, huh?" M16 echoed, scratching the back of her head. She looked at the jeep, and the contents, and shrugged.

"Yeah, sure, I got some time to kill," she said to O'Connell.

Lady (Guild Hall)-A lesson on economics

Lady nodded, understanding the issue. She was hardly going to complain about free lodging.

"I see. And thanks for the tip, an office that smells like a farm isn't going to attract customers."

The gold comment caught her attention. She wasen't exactly shocked this woman did not come from a modern time period, given her state of dress. Still, she diden't want this woman trying to force something like gold coins to be the standard, that just sounded like a pain in the ass.

"I happen to be familiar with paper money. Let me explain. See, over time, people started to realise that gold and other kinds of metals were inconvenient for standard, day to day transactions. And so nations started to make paper money, backed with gold, but much easier to use."

"With gold coins, you have to count each coin on its own. Fine if you're only spending one or two, but if you're spending s lot of money or you run a business where you deal with large amounts of money, that can add up very quickly and make it very easy to miscount or make mistakes."

"But with paper money, you can say it's worth whatever amount you want it to be, and so long as everyone agrees on that, there's no problem. And before you say anything about it being easy to fake, the paper they use to print the money is very specific and tightly controlled, along with other security mesures they use to help people identfy real money that counterfeiters have a hard time copying."

"And of course, there's a major advantage in terms of weight and transportation." She reached into one of her pouches, removed her wallet, and pulled out a dollar. "This is a dollar bill, the kind of money we use where I come from. 5 of these are enough to buy a meal from your average fast food place like you have over there, just to place an idea of value" She said as she pointed at the Wendy's. "And these bills also come in other, larger amounts, up to a total of 100 dollars. They have higher, but those are only for banks."

"Now, we don't have gold coins, rather, your standard gold unit is in ingots, or bricks. Your standard brick comes out at somewhere around 27 pounds of solid gold, or-" She reached into her pouch again, taking out her cell phone and turning on a calculator app. "-438 ounces, and using the last exchange rates I remember before I showed up here, that would be-"

She punched in more numbers. "Somewhere around half a million dollars. Double that, and it becomes 54 pounds, or 876 ounces. Pretty heavy. But the same amount in 100 dollar bills would only be about 20 pounds, less then half that. It might not ''sound like all that much of a difference, but you can imagine how that would add up and multiply as you go up in value."

Lady stopped, took a breath, then realized how technical she had ended up getting. "Er, did you understand all of that? I'm sorry, I may have went a little fast there."

Eve (Robodinoland) - Energy Savings

Even the most carefully concocted plan can be thwarted by the most minor of inconveniences. Eve's objective when she entered Sleep Mode was to save as much energy as she could while O'Connell drove them and their fallen prey back to civilization. Needless to say, she was somewhat surprised when the timer she set for reactivation kicked in and she found that the jeep was momentarily stopped, seemingly not having gone through the portal yet. The cause was most likely the two individuals O'Connell seemed to be talking to. Well, at least it was a good opportunity to socialize.

Furthermore, O'Connell had a point: that jeep was not well suited to climb down a flight of stairs. At least not without the risk of severely damaging both it and possibly the cargo they were carrying.

"I could modify this vehicle to allow it to traverse difficult terrain more easily in the future," the nasod stated, taking a short glance at the dirt-covered wheels. "However, it would take me a handful of days to prepare the tools required, and some more for the modification process itself, so it would be an unsuitable solution to our current predicament. Manual transportation may not be the optimal alternative, but it is the most efficient one available." She focused her attention on Char and M16, who had already volunteered to help carry things through the gate. "Your help will be greatly appreciated."

"It's basically an IOU backed by the government," Juri attempted to simplify the idea of paper money that Lady explained in detail as best she could. "Of course, the problem here is that this place doesn't really have a government yet let alone what was needed to print paper money, so you are going to have to deal in precious metal for the time being."

Airship

"Of course I was right. Why did I have to be right this time?"

As soon as Rico boarded the airship with Siluca in tow, he found that the people in the place were setting fire to the notes... with no means to project it. Were they telekinetic? Was this magic? He stood there boggled for a moment, before raising his newly acquired rifle. "Cool your jets or I'll cool them for you!"

Immediately after he made the threat, the blue snowman from earlier froze them, then started freezing the documents themselves in order to preserve them. Rico stared for a moment before lowering the gun. "Well... didn't think they'd be this cool with us on their ship," he quipped.

He moved over to check the notes. They were... mostly intact. There was still quite a bit of ashened paper, information nigh-permanently destroyed. But if nothing else, most of the notes were saved, which meant they likely weren't going to have to start from square one. "Cool move, Frosty. Looks like you saved most of this from going up in smoke."

Shirakami - Tank On the Hil

"W-Well there is SUPPOSED to be others in here with me, but they don't seem to have.... followed me here I cant really do it all that well by myself", the fox replied to Yukari's first question, but then she overly excitedly asked some more questions so she replied to them in kind. "Sure if you want, but I was actually hoping to come out if it is safe out there? Its ummm.... kinda hard to see in here, or tell where I am, but that one voice sounded kind of mean...." she questioningly replied.

She wasn't really exaggerating either, although she had lots of places to see out of on the tank, they were all incredibly thin slits with thick bullet proof glass over them making the visibility quite poor.

Kaga - End of Meeting

While she waited for M16 to return Kaga just kind of patiently sitting here, when she overheard Lady query if they were looking for mercenaries.

"Actually, we do have an operation coming up soon, that could use as many hands on board as we could get... Although I am not sure which of the two jobs could use you more.... especially given the kind of cannon you seem to be packing.... I guess it depends on how good of a shot you are with that thing."

Naga - Adventurer's Guild Hall

"I see, I see," Naga said, nodding her head as Lady and Juri gave an in-depth overview of how modern-day paper currency functioned.

"So it's a scheme that allows someone else to hold onto your money while you spend it, and then making them responsible for paying whoever wants to claim them..." She paused and rubbed her eye. "Like... like a casino token!" She snapped her finger at the realization.

"But with how often I get set on fire, exploded, frozen in ice, dunked in the river..." she started counting on her fingers. "Thrown through the mud, attacked by demons and dragons, caught up in an earthquake, trapped in time and space, stuck fighting a pack of werewolves, buried in rubble - well, you get the idea, adventuring isn't for the weak-hearted. Or the weak-bodied. Only cold, hard, coinage can survive that sort of abuse. Paper might not survive such an ordeal. Oh and lest we forget, now that we're not on our worlds anymore, I suppose I should point out that while your money papers are all worthless, my gold coins are still gold," she observed.

"Still... Making it easy for someone to carry a truly magnificent amount of money is quite the admirable goal. But without someone to make your paper worth something, we're stuck using coins. And we haven't even standardized our coins... although.... Yes, that could work." She smiled wickedly. "Yes, I think I may know just how to solve this problem. First I'll find a way to make uniform coins for us all to trade with, and then once we're used to that system, find a way to convert them into your little notes...."

Yorktown - Adventurer's Guild Hall

With the meeting seemingly over, and even Kaga moving on to a different conversation, Yorktown nodded with determination and approached Enterprise.

"Sis, when was the last time you ate? Would you like to order something now?" she asked the younger carrier. She leaned in closer and spoke in a hushed tone.

"I think you handled things very well," she said approvingly. "I can't think of anyone who could possibly have done a better job."

M16A1 - Adventurer's Guild Hall

M16 waited around while Kaga spoke to the newcomer with the guns.

Maybe it was her imagination, but she was certain that she would look a lot better with the top button of her shirt undone.

M16A1 - Hibana

Another M16 went over to the Hibana to round up the crew and stuff.

Oscar, Hill With Prospective Allies

"There appears to be little rhyme or reason for their animal appendages." Oscar admitted truthfully. If Enterprise and Kaga were not just the same race - a vessel woman, or more informally, a shipgirl - but also of the same subrace - carrier - then how come one appeared perfectly normal and the other looked like she came from Japon myths about fox-eared temptresses? "The woman in the tank over there I would wager is not the same race of which Lady Enterprise and Kaga are."

"Fire Nation is a group of petty savages." Oscar said with absolute certainty of someone convinced to be completely in the right. "Their unifying feature is their control of fire that they can discharge from their hands. They seem to think themselves as lords of this virgin world, plundering and raiding it to their heart's content. We will be conducting a joint offensive, together with" His face turned sour for a moment. "Sakura Empire to stamp out their evil ways with utmost certainty."

Cagliostro's demonstration was helpful for him as well. For such an anti-Fire Nation speaker, the exorcist hadn't yet met anyone from that group. He looked over to the tank girl and the other girl and, having deemed them unwilling to come with, turned his attention back to the two (and the alchemist). "Lady Enterprise is currently attending a meeting with Kaga, but she shouldn't take long to return. If it pleases you, I can show you to the base of our operations. We'll need all hands we can to turn it into a well-functioning outfit for the future. [[gold: "She is the best qualified to tell you about both the Eagle and the Sakura."

Siluca - Airship

That was a severe oversight. Why hadn’t they checked the blimp the moment the battle was over? It was the first place she would have looked had the youth not led them into the mines.

Luckily, Jack Frost had managed to stop the officers before they could burn everything.

She briefly looked at Rico when she realized the puns he started spewing out.

“Yes,” she added, turning to the snowman Jack. “Without your help, we would have lost these texts.”

It was still a loss of valuable information, and intuitively she thought performing such an ice spell could have inadvertently damaged the papers, but it hadn’t. Siluca could have done without them, but having them would save having to rely on the less trustworthy guardians.

“Let’s bring as much of this back as we can.”

Unless the others had something more to say, and once she and the others had gathered whatever they could, Siluca would descend.

Once she met back up with the Tiger clan, she said, “If you should find other Fire Nation soldiers afoot or other places where they might be encamped, let us know. They may try to take this place again, as it contains a stone that is valuable for their war efforts.”

Kat, Other Side of the Forest

"Alright, here we go!"

And so, with three eggs floating around the Gravity Queen, and a further three or four in her arms, she took to the sky and booked it back to town.

Kat- Wendy's

Once they touched down, Wendy would be let go of and return to the ground. Kat for her part was catching her breath.

"Well... that was an adventure, huh... did we do good?" She got out the words between breaths.
