Damn, was Meggido scene cool. Except that bit with Folgen, which was hilarious.
Walpurgis was also done really well, especially the fights.

I find the fact that clayman never stood a chance still the big mistake of this entire arc. He seems like a credible villain for a while, but the more you go the more you realize just how utterly out of his depth he was.
That Walpurgis seems like this big deal that turns out to basically be a club for bored demons is still incredibly funny even after the 4th version of events.

Clayman was just a scrub who have bitten more than he could chew. His usual tricks and manipulations work well on mere humans and some weaker monsters, but when he tried to manipulate other demon lords he was way out of his depth.
Funny to think that everything that happened between Millim leaving tempest and Walpurgis was all the result of her plan to secure Rimuru's position. She twisted Calyman's schemes to her ends with easy.
And yeah, Walpurgis being less of an important council of the rulers of the world, and more of a get together for them is hilarious.
New chapter (89) is out.
We're still in the clean up phase after the whole Clayman plot and Demon Lord ascension, so it's lot of talking and politics. The matter with Farmus is trivial, since the nobles opposed to them are just way out of their depth. More interesting is the fact that Rimuru is now officially the ruler of the entire Jura forest, and that means all it's inhabitants must come pay their respects.
And that can mean only one thing... festival! This is probably my favorite part of the story.
Also something about dark elves and ancient ruins.

I always enjoy seeing bad guys be smug about their schemes, before they inevitably fail.
Skipped some stuff though I imagine the Volume release will have it since Kawakami upgrades things in there.

Several new chapters have been upped but to summarize,
Main - The second duel with Hinata has concluded and tensions with Lubelious have settled down. We also got some info on Hinata's life prior to getting isekai'd, things between Granbell and Yuuki's people are souring, Yuuki is revealed to being an underworld boss, and one of the best characters is soon to be introduced.
Slime Diaries - We see the Farmus Invasion in all of its horror from the POV of the regular citizens
Trinity - I can't recall the last discussion on this one, but we've had the Farmus invasion and all of it's horror from the trios POV, the Harvest Festival, the lead up to the war vs Clayman and the war itself including several officers who had low opinions of how Clayman was running things, and now the Trio is traveling to human lands with new companion(a mysterious fluffy cat).

She wasn't like that in the WN. Though to be honest her personality in the WN was basically just "Pissed at Veldora and obsessed with a character that hasn't been introduced in the manga yet" so making her a horny lesbian vamp is fleshing her out a little I suppose.

It's been a while, but in the LN at least, she was equally as horny for Hinata, so this doesn't entirely come as a surprise. She's also very fond of Chloe, if I'm remembering things correctly.

Yeah so it's just another WN->LN change. I mean, I approve. She was a really flat character in the WN.
While WN and LN have mostly the same story beats, LN just seem to flesh things out more.

Anyway, been catching up on Slime Diaries, and it's such an excellent companion piece to the main series, it really adds to the substance of the story.
