Just finished reading Slime Diaries new chapters:

Man, it would be nice if there's Milim on Chapter 6 flaunting her swimsuit. The rest looks good though, chapter 6 is about Rimuru and co. Having fun in the beach while Chapter 7 is probably a preparation of summer festival

I've read the raws.

We get some awesome Milim chapters later on that further flesh out her stay on Tempest. From what was shown, she was there for quite a few months to maybe just a little under a year which is crazy to think about in terms of the scope of time passed.

I also loved that Summer Festival chapter. You get some great character moments including a good introspective moment from Rimuru.

Volume 5 did actually give us a time frame. 2 years elapsed between Rimuru exiting the cave to the start of that volume.

Light novel. Sorry, I'm only following the anime and the L Ns so I keep forgetting that some people are following the manga and the volume numbering is very different for each.

but getting isekai'd that is to say, spirited away or wind up in that world(picked up a book, walked in through a magic door, magic wind, portal bursts open in front of you, etc.) doesn't mean you get something. In the LN, Yuuki mentions a the owner of a café he frequents is an otherworlder who has no skills or resistances so just getting whisked away isn't a guarantee.

Getting summoned guarantees skills and resistances, but comes with the price of the whole slave branding thing and can only be done once every few decades and requires several mages to perform. The kids were done via illicit summons that can be spammed, but usually only result in kids who rarely develop skills and often die from the mana overdose due to lacking an outlet for said mana.

Reincarnation happens in the world, but only within its confines. Veldora mentions that the process of migrating between worlds results in your body being broken down completely and being rebuilt with added magic, but if it's just a soul due to having died in your world, then it'll burn out before even getting there. Rimuru was just that lucky 1 in 14,000,605 that made the trip over there.

And as someone who read the Web Novel, immediately following that is the point where you realize there are no actual stakes and consequences will never stick.

Yeah, this arc was the last one I really enjoyed. After this one it’s like you said, it’s a full on Rimuru-wank.

So... Milim return to evil side again by declaring the war between Eurazania? I wonder why though. Also, several interactions between Otherworlders and the monsters. Make no mistake, the Otherworlders are the guys who should be taken seriously I guess? O yea, I forgot to mention in previous chapter that a kingdom attempt to declare a war between Tempest nation but I could be misremembering.

Milim is back. And she seems to have some fun in the country much to Rimuru and the other's annoyance and yes, she's pretty cute though

Milim just does whatever she wants. I like how she petted into submission. Interesting to see a glimpse of her sadness after her pet death.

I think she also mentions Midley who is the lead Dragon Worshipper when she sleep talks at one point.
