Say, what if RE 3 got a remake?
I'm watching a playthrough of Operation Raccoon City's SpecOps storyline, and noticed something very bizarre: in the cemetery area leading to the Dead Factory, there's this one female zombie running around with an odd red "aura" of sorts that doesn't attack the player or their teammates at all... and even the AI controlled teammates don't fire upon it.
Is this a glitch?

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I've been thinking too much about the geography and backstory to RE 7. Taking all the DLC into account everything happened within walking distance of each other. The ship must have docked at the secret lab then crashed immediately as it was heading towards the Baker Estate. Lucas must have been working nonstop to build everything and abduct people and work in the secret lab.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.I may be mistaken—it's been a little while since I last watched a let's play, and I may have missed elements—but my feeling was that the secret lab was constructed after the ship crashed, in response to Evie settling in with the Bakers. That is, that the ship crashed, Evie settled in, and scientists were sent in to work alongside Lucas in observing her and experimenting.
As to the construction, I seem to recall that there used to be scientists working there alongside Lucas, so it may be that the Nebulous Evil Organisation provided labour for the purposes of construction, too.
My Games & WritingI'm pretty sure the lab was built first. Chris finds a an observation room with a bed, notes, and a picture of Mia and Evie. I doubt Lucas would have been able to convince Evie to hang out at the lab after she had moved in with the Bakers.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Perhaps early on Mia was able to convince Evie to go into the lab, maybe with the temptation of new people to infest. Conversely, while Evie was still "young" and the Bakers not yet fully converted, perhaps the scientists managed to physically abduct Evie for observation.
I will admit that both ideas are a bit of a stretch, and that the presence of that room is somewhat odd. But to my mind, the idea that the lab was already present, and that the ship crashed immediately in more or less the same place, seems even more so.
(That said, I'm also tempted to just consider that room to be a bit of a writing fumble.)
My Games & WritingI know there a note that say Lucas treated the lab works like shit but I don't remember if Evie came to the lap first. Although the Resident Evil wiki say it the lab came after the crashed. [1]
Also according to the Resident evil wiki the Annabelle was to sailed along the Louisiana Gulf on its way to Central America but they ran into a hurricane and crashed. [2]
Something to brighten everyone's day.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Really no posted that until now?
How strange
Okay, here's a fun idea. Take one Resident Evil character and one other character from another Capcom game franchise. How well do they end up working as room mates.
I'll start with Leon and Dante. Dante's lazy and extroverted nature clashes with the more straight laced Leon. He drives Leon up the wall by constantly playing loud music, ordering lots of pizza and leaving the boxes littered all over the apartment. And of course, there's the constant demon attacks due to Dante being the Son of Sparda.
Result: Leon kicks Dante out because his level of craziness is too much even for him.
Ark Thompson and Felicia from Darkstalkers
After two days Felicia leaves because Ark's freakishly huge man-ape hands creep her out
Jack Baker and Asura. The two guys are surprisingly open and honest with each other about their kids. They don't come to blows because Jack's a nice guy normally and Asura only gets pissed off at people who deserve his wrath.
It's been 3000 years…Sherryy....you daddy is home!
Mileena MadnessI'm very bother how Claire isn't freaked out by William Birkin's mutate form. I mean it's kinda the whole point to show how inexperience she is to these kind of things. Especially since she was never a cop or a soldier.

Well, this is just a preview. The real deal is set to be released no earlier than next year; things might change a great deal then.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I sure hope so, that is one of Claire's main appeal & what makes her stand out among the protagonist of the series.
She seems plenty anxious to me, but she's never been the sort to freak out and lose her cool, not back in the old game, and certainly not in any of the games that followed.
Heck, the opening to Code Veronica has her pull off action move-esque stunts no one else in the series had yet on just her 2nd outing.
There's a freakish mutated monster right in front of her. I'm not saying she needs to scream 24/7 here but even Leon was more frighten to was happening around him.
And if I'm being frank, Code Veronica was an odd depiction of Claire since that game was only 3 months after RE 2
This is after the car she was in was crashed and exploded with her nearly in it, she had to marathon through the streets of Raccoon City filled to the brim with zombies, shooting her way through, and she'd ostensibly encountered a Licker, numerous Cerberus, dozens more zombies in the station, and possibly even Mr. X already. I wanna say this is about a quarter of the way in? Screaming your head off after everything else feels a bit redundant at that point.
I'm not some expert on human psychology, but I'm seriously doubting you can adjust to all that horror within the span of 8 hours. Which I'm not even sure that's how long the actual in game hour is.
Depends on the person. It's not super common but there are people just naturally mentally tough enough to deal, even if only temporarily.
Well that & there's also adrenaline to factor in as well.
So out of boredom I checked out some Resident Evil theory videos and was reminded of one of the greatest mysteries of RE History; what the hell happened to Billy Coen? Took a walk into a zombie-infested forest and was never seen again. Which means he either died or did very well with the whole "faking my death" thing.
I personally hope they at least touch on his fate at some point, he was a neat character, had a good bond with Rebecca and his story has all sorts of interesting plot hooks to work into a game.
Been replaying RE 6 before I jump into 7 (at long last ).
I'll admit it, I actually find the game to be much more enjoyable when viewed through the lens of it being an action game. In fact, as a straight third-person shooter, it may actually be one of the most mechanically deep ones out there, even with all the stupid QT Es. The problem though? That's not what RE fans wanted at that point in time of its release.
Now with RE 7 out though, and the series back to its horror roots, maybe it is time to give RE 6 another look since we have that security.
