I'm pretty sure she's the scientist who made the C-Virus in the first place. You don't do that unless you're a comic book Mad Scientist. I actually like this about Carla as she's got a sympathetic event that happened to her but in no way doesn't make her an awful person before or after. She's a Freudian Excuse aversion.

The reapers in RE 5 were scary if you encounter them especially in cramped areas.

She has her own lab in Quad Tower and it shows her horrific experiments. She was also responsible for C Virus.

Before. She was the one who spearheaded the C-Virus. It was only later did Simmons ordered her to develop an Ada clone. In fact Ada found a voice log of Carla, and at that moment she loses any sympathy from her.

Yeah, Honestly I liked Carla specifically because while you can empathize with her pain..she's also someone who willingly created probably one of the most horrifying versions of the various Virii in the series by sheer kill count, and then her plan after the sympathetic events became literally "I hate simmons so much I'll kill billions of innocents just to spite him"

Kinda like Eveline where on paper you would feel sorry for them but their actions are far too horrible to relate to them

Yep, same kinda archetype . Both of them had reasons you could understand their pain but then they did the thing most likely to torpedo any sympathy they earned.

Well , in theory he was part of The Family, a shadowy organization that had controlled the world's history from the shadows and likely was even part of the controlling interest behind Umbrella. She decided the entire world as is was a product of the family. and the best way to spite Simmons for turning her into an Ada Wong clone that was brainwashed to be his devoted, loving servant was to burn down everything the Family had ever done by killing everyone on earth.

which just kinda supports her being a tad insane and absolutely beyond redemption even if the Family were also terrible people.

In theory that's also what a villain should be.
