I think this is a genuine trope present in many works.
If anything, it needs a clearer name, though. How about Bear Trap Pain? That is usually what this trope boils down to.

Because of its size, Bear Trap is more likely to be played for horror than laughs so a separate trope seems in order.

How about a split into Bear Trap Pain and Bear Trap Comedy? Or perhaps Bear Traps Are Bad News?

This looks to be another one of those articles created before we had stricter trope launching rules. At present there is no trope in play and most examples boil down to listing when there are bear traps in the work.
Potentially we can merge it with Mouse Trap and turn it into some sort of trope about how these kinds of traps never work for the intended recipient.
