So I'm kind of embarrassed to share this, but...
I recently started a new playthrough of this game, and I only just found out that Hirata estate had an area I never actually stumbled on before. It's a section shortly after you're told by Owl to find another way into the estate, and it has two spear-wielding monks there. I'm still not sure how I missed this area in all my other playthroughs.
On another note, I finally buckled down and managed to complete the Shura Gauntlet of Strength. Turns out it was a better idea to try out the Gauntlet after dying in the main game to unlock the resurrection mechanic.

I've finally completed the Severance Gauntlet of Strength. Had a bit of trouble the first time due to not knowing the final Gauntlet boss's new moves, but my second attempt went better. I now have all the alternate costumes for Wolf.
I will probably not try the Mortal Journey Gauntlet. It's way too much of a hassle, and I can always just go for specific bosses via Reflection of Strength, especially since I have all of them unlocked now.
