Denki stops twirling her hair a moment. "Oh, the outfit...it's just the uniform." she thinks a moment, "Suppose you' only know that if you read the manga."

And back to twirling and thinking.

Oh shit, Alicia actually got someone to look. Like, she wasn't embarrassed about it, but she didn't expect that to work. It kept her buoyed up even as Max continued to come at her, and she realized that yeah, actually the collective no-sell was dope as hell. She just sort of looked at Max for a second and held up the doll—stuffed—before setting it back down and nodding at Soma and Denki with a focused look. "The manga deal, who did that? My folks have had some great merch stuff over the years and paying someone something similar for me or us would be great. Tie-in stuff. Almost like official fanfiction or something. Side note," she pointed to Elena and turned to her for a second, "blanket ban on going after anyone who writes fanfic about me. That sort of fandom's important." She turned back to Soma and Denki. "Maybe just a business card from your mangaka at least."

Oh? Looks like Kaz is getting a fan.

Denki reaches, well where do you expect, where in reality there's a small pocket in the hem of the chest area, and pulls out a small business card before sliding it to Alicia. It reads: "Kishima Kazuma, Den-Den manga. [address in lower city], New Hope City, [phone number]"

"Here ya go.", she says with a small grin, Still killing Kaz for putting the pocket there >.<

"Wait, there's a manga too? Which one?" Soma said with a curious chuckle. Apparently that caught Alicia's attention too. And brought up fanfiction. There's a thought that made Soma facepalm. "Uuuugh, I totally didn't think about fanfics for this business"

The gynoid pained her ears when she heard the topic of manga come up, this was a topic that interested her much more then some one complaining that they couldn't kill the perps.... the fact that that was something that had been even considered cemented in her head that she was no longer in Tokyo but here was a topic more reminiscent of home.

"Those exist here in new hope?" she queried, tilting her head to the side a bit.

The chage in topic is nice for the Momo, "You've never read Denki Girl? Like...25th best manga of 2 years ago?"

She blinks, then turns to the gynoid, "Oh, ah...he moved here from Osaka a while back..."

"Tokyo, my manufacturer wants me to market the brand..... Okami robotics" she says with a small nod before looking down at herself. "Great spirit, but my body is a pun on the name"

"Then... You're artificial?" Soma said curiously to the previously quiet girl "Well, I'm sure they're not as common as in Japan but manga are totally here if you know where to shop." With that Soma reached into his bag and pulled out a business card for Shining Seas Entertainment to hand to the gynoid "Assuming you don't mind the advertising, they sell a pretty good selection online if you can't find any you like at the mall or in book stores"

"I don't really read much of it myself but I saw uhh..." Alicia clicked her tongue stud against her teeth, trying to remember. "Whatever. Anime kid, in a comic store window. I follow some folks on Twitter who shitpost about that stuff at least so yeah it's pretty popular. I'll keep this artist in mind too if I wanna make a move like that."

Okay, Alicia tried to push her luck a little more. If anything it would get a laugh for sure. Looking Denki Girl in the eye as clearly as she could, Alicia put on a smug grin and stuck the business card right into her own much larger cleavage. She let a tiny laugh "pfftch" out as she did so.

Rejected Gift

Fluffy looked sadly at the Ashley plush before suddenly lighting up. "Oh, I know! If you don't have anything to carry it, Fluffy can give you this~!" She them proceeded to plop the sheep backpack into Ashley's arms with the little plush Ash sticking out of the zipper, looking back at her. "Work gave me it for free to carry the plushies anyway, so feel free to have it~"

"In any case, you're the lightning maid from Denki Girl? I always figured that was just made up! I should see how many chapters I'm behind on that" Soma told Denki with a chuckle. He was about to ask for one of those business cards himself, only to be distracted by Alicea rather obviously sticking the card right between her boobs in front of them. He'd always thought the whole using boobs as a pocket thing was just a pervy joke... It took a few second for it to fully process that he was staring at her cleavage, and in front of everyone, before his cheeks turned pink.

Elena ignored Max's words beyond making the Solaris stuffed toy she held wave its tiny arm.

She then nodded at Ash. "Not a problem. We should be able to give you the bracelet in a day or two, certainly before the premiere."

Scott answered Laz: "Yes, Mister Krelmer has already negotiated the terms of your contract with us. As long as you don't do anything downright damaging to HTV, you're good to go."

The host smiled. "And we'll have plenty of time for autographs later."

Karen sighed melodramatically at Ann's words. "I knoooow~. Then again, most of the A-League are married or in a relationship, so...I think Elena, for one, would not enjoy it if Dawn flirted on National TV."

At that mental image, Elena valiantly kept her poker face although she looked a bit queasy.

Now, Karen turned to Dani and Jules. "Oh! Idea! Starcrossed lovers, dating catwoman...the idealistic Miss Machina trying to pull her troubled, morally ambigous beloved Lady Asmodea from the pull of the dark~."

"Also, after this meeting, we'll have a coffe break and then you guys change into costume for the practical rehearsals, okay? You do have your costumes with you, yes?" Karen continued.

"Uniform's under my clothes." Elena replied. Still not calling it a costume.

Bas gave a tiny frown at Bay, he didn't like not fixing the problems he made even if they were small but he opted to do something when he wasn't flat broke.

He grabbed his quill, looking at it for a while. Newest edition stuff? "Fancy" he sure as hell couldn't afford it. He read the contract carefully for anything regarding music and his image before signing it.

Basil blinked rapidly as he was given a plush toy of... himself? Before he managed to ask Fluffy how exactly she made this he heard someone talk about him. Nicknaming him Toros regardless of their apparent intentions he definitely didn't like it. He put his hand on the table and leaned a bit closer to Lazarus, his face looking a bit angry.

"No nicknames like that okay? They're not funny to me, and they piss me off. Also stay out of my personal business, alright?"

If Bas were to know where exactly Bayard bought the garment, the horned Gifted would probably be horrified. Even as he and Li'l Bay gave the contract a better look, the blonde escapologist got the feeling he was being eyed. He paid it no mind, chalking it up to the cameras in the room.

As Soma addressing him, Bayard scratched his head. Anyone looking would've noticed the gold atom-shaped cuff links. "I won't do any romance type pairings," he said firmly. "But I am willing to work with anyone in need of a foil."

As for costumes, Bayard liked to be prepared. Almost unchanged from his days at the KEU, that black suit rested in a discrete pouch hidden under the trunk of his secondhand sports car◊.

Suzu nodded twice, "I-I don't mind the advertising, I kind of need a new place to shop any way, it used to fit my image to do so in Akihabara and backed by a coprate account that was easy..... though this place doesn't have one I don't think, I would have to check a GPS...."

The fox shaped woman then paused a bit and then pined her ears

"That's that thing that one wrestler did isn't it?" Alicia asked, smiling wide at the response she continued to get. Her dad had a signed picture of a big dude with dreads in that same pose in his office, and she always wondered what that was about. She leaned back in her chair a bit and nodded to Suzu. She'd let Denki Girl stew in it for now, haw. "How synthetic are you anyway? Like, do you swap out armor and stuff or is your costume actual clothes? Just curious because of how much costume I have to replace all the time. I've got all my stuff in my car out front, I'll just have to go get it if we're doing a dress rehearsal."

Ash

It seemed everybody was content to ignore Max for now. Perhaps best to do it yourself. "Talk to the hand." Slowly, Ash rose her palm and put it in a stop sign before electing to forget about the edgy asshole entirely for the time being.

The guy that also expressed a distaste for theatrics... did he just...? "Are you gonna call her "foxbot" next?" He growled, gesturing idly at a local synthetic. "Have some fucking tact, man." At least they both shared the view that the whole TV thing wouldn't work out much for them.

And then Fluffy continued to be nice. A backpack? Ash took it, staring at it dumbly for a moment. "Oh, uh... is t-that really okay?" People being nice to her was something Ash was not used to; likely the reason why he was blushing faintly, trying to cover his face with the hem of her hood. "Thanks though. It's... it's nice." It did look strangely on the scarred, androgynous face of the firestarter. All of that proved a bit much, so Ashley only offered another hushed "thanks" to Elena, trying to avoid looking at the fluffy girl in front of them.

The talks about the costumes brought Ash back to awareness. "I'm already dressed." He said. "Also I'd like not to do much... any acting, really. I'm not good at it."

M Eeting Room

Denki is now a pout. Comparing her catchphrase to wrestling, the nerve. The most responsible thin to do is not make a fuss.

The zap maid blows a raspberry, "Buuuuuuu..."

Denki is not the responsible one. And attempts to give a little zap to the back of Alicia's leg. She falters a tad after this.

Thankfully either nobody else noticed or nobody cared about display, Alicla her self seemed pleased with the results as she leaned back which was honestly kind of sexy, and maybe intimidating. Glancing back her way as Denki finished her posing Soma thought he could still see the card peeking out... Okay, no. This was a meeting and that meant at least attempting to be professional.

Faking a cough to get himself back on the task of coming up ways his hero persona could interact with the others, Soma mutter a brief "Right, sorry" to the gynoid for calling her artificial. For Denki he just gave an awkward chuckle and said "Yeah, that's Denki alright. Wonder how my powers would pair with lightning, haven't tried that"

The O'Neils seemed about ready to move on to rehearsal, which Soma was glad for. If he was going to embarrass himself in front of everyone he'd rather doing it while being a goof for the viewers than being accused of being a perv by his co-workers. "Yeah, I've got my Emerald Dragon gear with me" Then he paused, and turned back to Alicla (making a point to not look below her face this time) "Come to think of it were you the one that could shift into a dragon I saw online? Or was that someone else I'm thinking of"

Oh jesus he was already in the second stage of hard-locked eye contact. Nobody actually acted like that normally, in Alicia's experience—folks would inevitably look away to recall some information or whatever since eye contact was distracting. She stuck her tongue right out at Denki to blow a raspberry right back, only to get a little nip in the back of her leg for her troubles.

"Woah!" She yelped and bounced up in her seat a little bit and shot Denki Girl a silly glare. "Fresh! You know, edgelord over there could learn something from you on how to actually show off your powers to someone. It's a good look. Speaking of which, yeah Soma, I do turn into a huge dragon. It's why I mentioned having to replace my costumes all the time, and also why I can't pull off what y'all are doing right now without things suddenly getting way too fun for a business meeting." Alicia smiled and let that phrase have impact, but also kept going, not acknowledging it beyond that. "Might want to talk later about the dragon overlap we've got between Emerald Dragon and Herensuge the Dragon Queen, unless we want to lean into that from day one."

"Its ummm.... its clothes, I am pretty human-like on the outside save for the additional features, its internally that I differ a lot...... Ummmmm I am a "Marketing Aide" so like I kind of was designed to be able to do most of the things humans can..... Clothes shopping helps sell clothes, sweets are considered cute....." She starts putting her finger to her chin to think. "Things I cant do that you guys can is heal any thing more then a minor injuries, I actually need to be repaired, I can also charge off electrical power......" She stops and then pins her ears.

"Basically I was designed to be cute and sell things, it is Masamune who does most of the work"

Laz looked up at the angry minotaur, he tightened his hands into fists as he worldlessly met Bas' gaze. This guy.' This fucking guy, Laz knew Basil and he didn't think that the cow would be able to No. No. He wasn't in the Devil's Third anymore. He couldn't pull that kind of shit nowadays. "Sorry man." He told Basil, "Didn't mean to get personal."

Then something landed in his lap, a stuffed...him. He looked at the plushy, before bursting into a high pitched, howling laughter, leaning back in the couch as he laughed. "This is gold!" He said, coughing.

Soma'a gaze flicked over Alicia's exposed skin at the comment before he gave an awkward chuckle, that was certainly an embarrassing mental image. If her idea of fun was really like what she'd been teasing and flaunting, this hero thing might be more than he bargained for. "Yeah, uh, it might be weird if we didn't at least acknowledge that early on... We could talk after the rehearsal, if you're not businessed out by then?"

As for the synth, well. Even without distractions Soma didn't have any experience talking to such people. It was hard to really know how to react to the fact she didn't sound entirely happy at being just a cutsie sales device. "Well... Does Masamune have their own personality, or is it more like, a remote control unit or something?"

A short beat, then the Denki tugs on Soma's sleeve, "Were you...thinking of teaming up with me...?", she asks, tilting her head.
