Jesus Christ, this manga is fucked. First I thought the Mitty thing was messed up, then Prushka, but this outdoes them both.

But yeah, I don't think even Kentaro Miura would come up with something this fucked up.

By the way, it seems like the Idofront arc will be adapted into a movie instead of a second season. Which I'm skeptical about − there will have to be some compression to fit the entire arc into two hours.

Also, the second compilation movie had an additional scene featuring Prushka. surprised

Guess what time it is? It's been available for at least a day now, but the translations have already been taken care of.

This chapter closes off the flashback with wonderful scenes like madness, transmogrification, stillbirth, baby-eating, Bonbon morality, and motherhood. And the motherhood is the craziest part.

......By God.

Tsukushi just keeps topping himself in the WTF, yet somehow manages to make it make sense.

The Anime only people are gonna be sick after this when it gets to this point.

…Well, we've all been fooled real good there. Turns out Faputa wasn't Illmyui but her daughter… And she's pretty angry. And the village was literally the inside of Illmyui's body all along. We'll have to tweak the character page.

The chapter didn't feel as "gross" as the couple ones before (at least graphically) but it's no less traumatizing. And yet also heartrending… Vueco and Illmyui did not ask for any of that shit, goddammit… That scene of Vueco giving names to all the unborn children was… why do you do that to my heart, Tsukushi… TT__TT

[up] Honestly… I'm not even sure the Illburu arc is fit for TV at this point. Though if the Bondrewd movie is successful enough, maybe they'll make one for this arc as well…

I'm just kinda wondering whether to judge Wakuzyan for all he did. He's borderline Blue-and-Orange Morality in this.

[up]His actions make enough sense from a rational person's standpoint. The real issue is that he's too blase about everything (including mealtimes), so he comes off as incredibly unsettling.

[up] He's kinda similar to Bondrewd in that regard… Except slightly less genial?

Speaking of Bondrewd, I recently reread volume 5, which just came out here, and I was surprised to realize that the entire Idofront arc lasted less than two volumesnote … it felt much longer than that. But boy was it awesome (and horrible) to reread it. My only complaint is that… some pages are pretty freaking dark. And I don't mean in tone, I mean "I-can't see-a-damn-thing" dark… Maybe it's just the edition that screwed up the lighting because I don't remember having that problem in my first readthrough…

So I've heard good things and bad things about this series. A lot of what's described about it seems really cool but I've been told that it has a serious problem with sexualizing children, and I was wondering if anyone could sh some light on whether that's true or not.

Lyendith Since: Mar, 2011

There is indeed some child nuidty here and there (well, chest nudity), and jokes about Reg's… intimate parts a few times. Usually it's not too bad, as it happens in non-sexual contexts like baths or to underline Riko's shamelessness. There are a couple of times were it gets a bit uncomfortable though − notably the "hanging punishment" page at the very start of the story. As well as some of the under-cover bonuses for the volumes.

It's not omnipresent and doesn't detract from the story, but yeah, it's better to be warned. If it bothers you, watching the anime might be a better option, as it tones down that aspect a bit.

…By the way, does anyone have news about the manga? The last chapter was in… *goes to check* March…

It lives. And with the complicated story and number of hiatuses, I have to reread a dozen chapters to get what is going on. :(

Oof, it's been a fucking eternity, but it was good. tongue The translation on Mangadex is a mess though, some parts make no sense…

So since Faputa can't enter the village herself, she tasked Reg with bringing a piece of her inside it… which is weird, because if her whole body can't get in, I'm not sure why pieces of it can…

But it looks like we're finally heading towards this arc's climax.

[up] If you've forgotten, Faputa is the daughter of Illmyui (the girl who became the village) and wants to destroy the village to avenge her mom. Meanwhile, Reg wanted to use Faputa's "value" to buy back Nanachi from Belaf (the Sage with the centipede body), so Faputa ripped off one of her arms in exchange for his help to destroy the village, as it turns out. Belaf and Wazukyan are Vueko's former human comrades who sacrificed Illmyui to build the village and are now two of its "Sages".

[up] Those parts I remember actually, it's all the little details on 'value' and the system for it the village uses I struggle to remember.

And yeah, this translation sucked. Apparently the translation of the raws of some 4chaner, who was probably trying to get the gist of the text, but Mangadex just copied it without trying to improve upon it.

[up]Mangadex didn't make that upload. Mangadex is primarily a hosting site, unless it's specifically listed as a Mangadex release then anything you read there was made by someone else and uploaded to the site.

An English translation by an alternate group has been released by the way.

[up] Ah, my mistake, someone made a scan with translations from a/4chan, and then uploaded it there. And the new version from Narehatescans is much better, thanks for the reminder.
