I feel like I would have unironically enjoyed this show when I was...ten or eleven, maybe?

I watched the first episode and not only is it bad, it's not hilariously so-bad-it's-good enough that I wanted to keep watching. That makes it worse in my opinion.

Anyway on somebody mentioning Big Mouth, weirdly enough I am in the mixed boat regarding that show. On one hand I (admittedly) laugh at some of the jokes and only interested in it due to Nick Kroll being the creator. However the show is indeed trying to be like Family Guy (like a certain show made by Daniel "Douchebag" Toss that shall not be mentioned) and probably go down the shock for the sake of shock route.

But yeah when comparing Neo Yokio to that show, it does come off better by comparision as it doesn't rely on hormones as comedy alone.

This show is incredibly stupid and I love it so much.

If there was ever a piece of media that deserves the Pretentious label, it's this, and it's all the more hilarious for it.

As someone who likes a lot of unpopular cartoons unironically, 12OzMouse is one of them (although I don't watch it much, now, sadly - I should fix that someday.)... Count me in on that much.

This show, however - it means honestly nothing to me. There's nothing worth talking about here that I couldn't get out of a proper bad anime, IMHO.

I got through half the the 1st episode before I got bored with it and stopped watching. Wasn't really bad, but just not entertaining.

Though apparently this show has some sort of anti-greed and wealth message, though considering who's backing it, there's a mixed message here.

That's pretty bad. IDK what else to say for this except why?

This is truly the type of show that's more fun to make fun of than it is to watch.

Yes and no. Gigguk makes joke videos like guide to anime conventions or tsunderes m but on things he tends to earnestly discuss it.

The first half is him trashing on Neo Yokio. The other half is him earnestly discussing this trash that he loves.

Whatever he's doing, apparently it's working because he was a guest at Crunchyroll's first con along with Digibro, and he's featured in a few of their videos. :/

My god.... does it take an anime studio to just do anime animation that bad?? And the sad part?? It's even BETTER than any American animation that tries to parody the style!

I think the show will do really well on Netflix because everyone is watching it out of curiosity at this point!
