Disney's Big City Greens

The upcoming show Disney Magic Bake Off will have a Big City Greens episode based on this tweet. It's the only show from Disney Television Animation to have representation here.

Is that an actual show? I remember a few years ago that there was this Disney "show" that was essentially just 2 minute shorts of the then current Disney stars trying to out cook each other.

Yes it is. The show premieres on August 13 and the first episode is airing from 10:05pm-10:55pm.

The Big City Greens episode for the Disney Magic Bake Off series will have an appearance from series creators Chris Houghton & Shane Houghton, with the former also voicing Cricket. There's also apparently something involving a chicken costume during the break.

Season 3 premieres on October 9, but that's the only episode airing next month. It's a 2 part episode called Squashed.

The Magic Bake Off episode with Big City Greens airs October 15.

Looks like Squashed may be the show's second Halloween special.

Shane Houghton said how the show was going to have an in person panel at New York Comic Con, but then the pandemic threw a wrench into things.

Here's the description for the season 3 premiere:

"The Greens prepare for their Halloween party and Tilly feels bad for Bill, who’s disappointed by the poor yield of his small pumpkin patch. When they visit Big Tech to make a produce delivery, Tilly secretly “borrows” Gwendolyn Zapp’s alien chemical compound to make Bill’s pumpkins grow bigger. At first it works, making the pumpkins larger, but it also mutates them into body-snatching alien monsters."

Shane Houghton said how the Halloween episode is the only season 3 episode to air in October. He said that it's currently the only completely finished episode at the moment.

Damn! For a moment I thought it was a Chrismtas themed episode like how the Halloween one was released early. But, I guess shorts are cool.

You know, I'm at times both happy and sad that this show doesn't have much of a fandom online. Because on one hand, no drama, but on the other hand, no cute fanart. Ironically, it's the crew that produces most of the fanart for this show, so its not exactly fanart though.

I've seen a decent amount of fan art (I recommend Candy Randy Jr on Twitter and Deviant Art since he's done quite a bit for the show), but there is less fan art compared to shows like Amphibia and The Owl House.
