She could pretend at least. Mordred would be so happy she wouldn't even notice.

She wouldn't have even needed to show her emotions. I think Mordred understood that daddy was kind of distant. More than just 'No, fuck off, you're not inheriting anything from me' would have been fine. Like maybe add on 'but you're still a great knight' to the end and she'd have been satisfied.

I really want to see those two interact properly. In FGO they've showed up together in two chapters and at least one event but still haven't had a real conversation.

hmm 'Fuck off, you're not inheriting anything from me, but you're still a great knight' ?

Actually I think that still could work, yes.

Camelot was such a missed opportunity for those two...

It worked for them as individuals. You got to see that yeah, Mordred really can turn out quite badly and the Lion King remains my favorite version of Artoria. iirc even as far as their relationship goes you can get something out of it in that the Lion King is clearly abusing Mordred's need to be accepted and praised even as she's treated as cannon fodder and barred from the city she's 'protecting.'

The closest we've got to the two of them interacting normally was the swimsuit event, most of which consisted of Artoria ignoring Mordred.

Individually, they're fine characters. But you'd think considering how important their relationship to each other is, they'd have one interlude or event where they went over their issues. They're parent and child for Christ's sake.

Then there is MHX interlude as well.

MHX: Gotta kill all saberfaces!

Mordred: Father it's you!

MHX: I am not your father, now die...

Mordred: Father! T_T

[up]Well I believe Mordred did get over his grudge by end of Apo, and is quite chill about her father by London.

Aha I finally saw it. Its a decent start, slow but it makes sense since its building things up by introducing the large cast of characters.

The Servants well Vlad looks really cool (Helps that I recently watched Castlevania so more Dracula is awesome), Black Caster is looking really cool with an awesome design & powers (he may be my favorite of the bunch), Siegfried seems cool especially his kickass design which is both manly & badass, Astfolo is uh charming (the real-life version wasn't this feminine looking was he?), Chiron appears nice if a bit plain, Mordred is really cool especially after watching her stuffy father a lot so its nice seeing someone so chill & ready to cut loose (her red outfit is terrible though, thank God for her armor & civilian design the latter something a person might actually wear), Red Assassin is pretty hot & Red Berserker is ugly as sin.

The Masters on the other hand are not as impressive. The best one is obviously Sisigou, his relationship with Mordred is awesome cause its pretty much what Kiritsugu & Artoria would have been like if they got along. Shiro is mysterious, Darnic reminds me of Tokiomi Tohsaka if his attempts at smoozhing actually worked, Black Archer & Berserker's Master's especially the latter are pretty plain, Black Saber's Master is kind of an asshole, Black Caster's master is pretty genki & yeesh is Black Rider's Master creepy as fuck. I hope that bitch dies.

Also I don't think I'll ever like Fran or Jack. I just can't get over their appearance so don't expect anything positive from me about them.

Don't worry, Black's creepier Masters do end up dying when they get too uppity. I found Fran cute, personally, though I also don't like Jack, especially since her "Master" is basically the Ryounosuke of this story.

I find what the GO mats has to say about Jack kind of funny since it turns out Reika being evil mom was basically exactly the worst kind of person for Jack to get close to.

I thought about spoiler tagging that but then I realized you see them happily walking away from a brutally murdered man so I guess it's not necessary.

Oh I also forgot a couple Servants, Shakespeare is just as awesome & hilarious as I thought he would be.

Jeanne well I haven't seen enough to form an opinion. Nice to finally meet the woman Gilles was obsessing about for the better part of a season. That nude shot in the ED was weird but what-evs. Were gonna learn why she was summoned apparently a good amount of time before the Grail War starts & with no Master right?

Yeah I have a strong feeling that Jack's Master is not gonna be as energetic as Ryounosuke. Gonna be hard to top his love of "sport" I'm gonna say.

Yeah, all Jack wants is a mom. Unfortunately, Reika just sees her as a tool of revenge to get whatever she wants, and Jack latches onto her because she's a mother figure that actually appears to care about her.

I was under the impression that Reika did care about Jack, but I was totally disinterested in those two and never bothered to learn much about them.

So, does Mordred know Artoria is female?

I know she calls Artoria her Father, but the subs I was watching also used male pronouns for her.

I'm also a fan of the fact someone finally got around to exploiting the regional power boost.

I don't believe anyone really did in SN / Zero.

I guess Medea sorta did.

[up][up] I think so too. Irc Reika doesn't have much mormal emotions so she doesn't care how many people die and if it make Jackie happy she gladly helps.

[up][up]Artoria was biologically male when Mordred was conceived, so naturally she views her as her father...yea

Fran bond level up. She's quite cute. Her wish throws some interesting perspective on her FGO interlude. Mordred was also pretty good but I felt like Fran wins this episode.

Wait, Siegfried introduced himself? Isn't that against Gordes's entire deal?

No, Gordes' thing was hiding Siegfried's identity because he has a very exploitable weakness.

Yep.

I love how Mordred was acting like a bratty teenager. "I don't wanna go alooooone, I'll get boooooored!"

I also enjoyed Jeanne's reaction to finding out Karna had ruined all her clothes. That little shoulder-slump conveys the perfect meaning of "Well shit."
