Necro coz the Stadia reminded me this exists.
Apparently the console was delayed (again) yesterday and the specs have changed.
Worth pointing out that that delay only was announced following a video circulating among backers talking about the already existing delays and questioning if the console was happening at all.

I will eat my words.
It actually came out.
But hey, they actually released something. That beat my expectations. I was wrong.
Wait, it's out? I watched that video earlier and don't remember any mention of a launch.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?PC Mag got a copy, it's not actually released, but it's more than I expected to ever deliver already.
They got it all the way back in January. But still, it's a piece of overpriced garbage.
Speaking of the price, I bet the VCS is so expensive because Atari isn't selling the thing at a loss like Sony does with their systems.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? That console is nowhere near worth it's cost, especially since it's just a modified Linux OS. You can grab most of those titles bundled on Steam for less than $20, or through the Internet Archive for free.
Release date announced as November 27.
Good luck trying to sell this crap when next gen is coming around or before that date.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? It's finally here. Thread name should probably be changed.
The video has an unboxing and a general review of the console.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Spawn Wave did a teardown and tried some emulators on it. It seems to work fine as an emulation box but it's still overpriced.

They've apparently hired the original Xbox' system architect
On one hand, good on them. On the other, seems a bit late in the process when your system's already all planned out?
