It’s supposed to elaborate on the backstory of Geralt’s teacher Vesemir...and is an animated production from Studio Mir.

The Nightmare of the Wolf is supposed to focus on Vesemir, this one is supposed to be set 1200 years in the past and focus on the first witcher.
7 actors cast in key roles for season 2.[1] Really liking the cast for the new season so far.
Jodie Turner-Smith exited the prequel spinoff [1]
According to Deadline, Michelle Yeoh has been casted as Scian for the prequel series The Witcher: Blood Origin.

Oooh, this is too much. I can't take the waiting!
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Season 1 had it's issues, but I still enjoyed it. Season 2 will encompass Blood of the Elves, my favorite book of the series, so I am hyped :)

That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.After seeing the prequel movie does that mean that The Witcher killed by the striga was Remus?
Lauren Hissrich explains how the movie connects to season 2[1]. I do disagree with her mentioning that the movie showed Vesemir as a father figure to Geralt.
TUDUM haul: Season 3 renewal, plus the announcement of another animated film.
Plus two clips from Season 2:

Kids and family? Sounds like we have a Gwent-themed sports anime in the works.
Echoing hymn of my fellow passerine | Art blog (under construction)Jaskier will be part of the Blood Origin prequel as the narrator[1]
Season 2 trailer is finally here.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Trailer looks great. Has Geralt's eyes always been that noticeable? I feel like they're brighter compared to last season. Then again it's been a while since I watched season one.
Oooh this is nice. I see we're making liberal use of the Quen sign. That is my favorite in the game.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"It's the most useful, too. If you don't do Quen at least once a fight you're playing a risky game.
Also yeah, my suspicions were vindicated. First Sodden, the war is still going on despite the Season 1 finale.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.I mean, the Quen sign was pretty much revamped for the Games. In the books, it explicitly does not protect against physical damage.

Jodie Turner-Smith cast as one of the leads for the prequel spinoff The Witcher: Blood Origin[1]. I didn't even know this was a thing.
