Do we have a release date yet? Every time I search, I just get the old date.
Just an unspecified time in 2019.
Watch SymphogearNetwork test begins tonight and lasts until the 3rd of June. Sign up for it here.
Oh, no network test on PC.
Okay, fine. Didn't want to test it anyway.
Still no release date, though?
Was hoping to get a chance to play it on the PC. Well... that sucks.
BTW, I hear this game had guns, something the Soulsborne games typically simplify either into being only support weapons or having very clunky controls. Is that true again, or did they actually make a firearms build viable, with good controls too?
I know, I know, sounds weird to want guns in a Soulsborne, but part of me kinda wants to know how a third person shooter style character build would hold up against your typical Dark Souls boss
I didn’t use it way too much, but there is a rifle weapon class; the weak attacks are slashing with the bayonet attached and the heavy attack is firing it. I couldn’t tell, but I think the shot might vary between the individual weapons, as the one I used in the tutorial was single long range shot, while the one I ended up picking up while playing was a shorter range spread shot. On top that, the game pretty much let’s you change your character class on the fly; I think one of them is straight-up called “Ranger” and I believe it changed the weak attack string on the rifle to end with an evasive dodge that puts a good amount of space between you and the target.
The shots are limited by a Quicksilver Bullet-like counter which is also used to cast various spells and stuff, but there are certain attacks that can regenerate it.

Speaking of regeneration, I hope the final game has as many healing options as Bloodborne, because I can't see the finite healing method being too intuitive in the late game. It'd be nice if the blood drain attacks refilled your health in addition to your Ichor.

Sweet! Can't wait for this game to release.
Also, wonder how this game survived given that let's just say Ufotable had an interesting case...

"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."So the full game is going to be coming to PC, right?
I guess so? But let me see again.
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."That trailer has a logo for PC digital at the end, so presumably it's coming out at the same time as all the other versions.
It is odd that they skipped PC for the network test, though.
Code Vein is up for pre-purchase on Steam. It says September 26th, dunno if it's just a timezone difference or what.
Popping in and just wanna ask if there's any news that I missed for this game
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."If you can make your way to San Diego, you can get a free copy of the game if you hand over some of your blood (to the American Red Cross). It's not the worst promo stunt out there.

Honestly a pretty sweet deal, provided you don't have anything Bloodborne...
@Eschaton That sounds pretty interesting tbh. Sadly, I don't live in San Diego so yeah...

"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."I live close enough that I'm tempted, but not that tempted. I think it's the only city in the area I don't have family in, otherwise I'd ask one of them to do it.
Game's out. Anyone have any opinions on it yet? I haven't bought it, still have other things to do.
Wait wat!?
going to take dibs on that soon
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."It's fun.
Sadly I dont have either switch or any console. However, I wont mind to watch the playthroughs of the game then I'll form my opinions of it.
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."I picked it up and found it quite fun; took a bit of getting used to, but I went in expecting enemies to hit like trains and thus far I'm not really mad at any enemies so much as I am the devs' predilection for putting enemies on narrow bridges above bottomless pits.
But ANYWAY, I was wondering if anyone had any opinions regarding transforming gear; I'm thinking of transforming my dark hound into a drain dark hound, and just keeping it upgraded, but I'm not 100% sure if that's the best plan, or if it'd just be a waste of materials for no ACTUAL benefit. Will it ACTUALLY increase the ichor I get when I hit things with it, or does it not work like that?
Edit: Nevermind, somehow I completely forgot I was planning on turning it into a gifts dark hound. Silly me. Though I suppose a better question is when will upgrade materials restock, if they ever do?
