I just P Med them the basic layout idea.
Just a reminder: you're building a tower, not a boat. Engines and propulsion systems would go at the bottom, obviously, but bridge doesn't necessarily have to be at the top.
Now I'm suddenly imagining the sheer amount of walking up and down stairs one would have to do if the elevators broke down.
Oh wait, is there artificial gravity, or are we relying on the acceleration of the ship to generate inconstant gravity? And what do paragravity devices do?

Assuming the same level of tech as The Expanse, no, just relying on the acceleration and spin gravity, the latter of which is impractical on a starship.
Also, since we're gettin' technical here, the bridge is just the console that the pilot sits at.
Also, fission or fusion? (Or antimatter, I guess)
Nevermind, remembered that the opening crawl in the initial post stated fusion.

All are significantly abnormal in a normal world... All are significantly normal in an abnormal world.Fusion.
Gravity Devices are a new invention, still highly experimental, and incredibly expensive. Currently can only go up to 0.3 Gs for commercial use.
Also to explain, there was a fight in the mess hall between some crew members over comments said about their backgrounds, it's up to you guys to determine if it was our characters fighting, if they only saw it, or if they are directly responsible.
This will hopefully help keep us on a direct path to keep this RP going.
I'd be up for Hyouta having been a part of it, though depends whether ideas are coming to anyone else already about what the fighting is about.

On the plus side, we have a Establishing Character Moment for Mal, cheerful and helpful guy he is!
Wooze looks at Glass with a 'please take her away' lookThe fight is largely about where everyone grew up. Some people get very nationalistic, to a weird point, on where they were born and raised.

Haha! Our captain is Adam Levine! Karaoke nights must be a blast!
Just wrote the first surname that came to mind.
And no wonder it was the first that came to mind. Maroon 5 has good music.
Actually I was thinking of 2k and Ken Levine.
Didn't even think of Maroon 5.
Only a little tardy...ehhh
Yaqiratu certainly wouldn't have been in the fight. (Already late for mess, plus I put deescalation as one of her talents). As for crew relationships, for one thing, she's brand new on the ship. For another, she knows all the troublemakers officers looking for loopholes to do something blatantly illegal people in need of legal aid regardless, because they started going through her office about as soon as she got the job. The ranking officers she knows of academically or via their memos—lots and lots of memos.

Look with century eyes... With our backs to the arch And the wreck of our kind We will stare straight ahead For the rest of our livesYeah, so. Mal is cheerful, friendly, and compassionate. That doesn't stop him from being a Jerkass when he wants to be.
Wooze looks at Glass with a 'please take her away' lookAlrighty, since we didn't have much else for the plot in the Messhall beyond introductions, I'm moving things forward to the next plot point.
Any questions? Other than "Is the recommended crew our characters" because yes.
Anything supply-wise that's lower than usual Hyouta would have probably noticed in his doule checking? Or nothing especially/do we want to skim over that bit?

"life is just a series of increasingly canon-eluding ao3 tags" ~ everydunsparce "Keep your hellfruit away from me, tempter" ~ also EveryNothing worth noting.
Do keep in mind that as Xander is the purser/logistics officer of the ship, Hyouta will most likely be in the direct chain of command to, or at least working closely with, him.
Ah, yeah, point. I will say it's entirely possible that Hyouta is getting the hang of that because he's still new.
Or that he did that intentionally. I'm cool with whatever unfolds.

Discover odd, potentially plotworthy thingsnote that you'll run with it or not or would more or less innocent detail be preferrednote ?
A mix of both would be preferable. I've already got the plot figured out, but I figure that letting you guys build your own mini-character arcs within would be fun as well.
Oh, I dunno if we're skipping straight to the ship or not, but wrote a thing in case we're not. I'll leave more up to others

Okay, cool, well made a post to that end, regardless, then.
