It's fiction...but it's told from the perspective of a made up explorer... *Tilly explains again, saying* ...someone who followed and even spoke to Dialga for years. This is the last book in the series — full of spoilers.

*she then looks over to Niles, and asks* That rough in there, huh?

"Yeah… I decided not to get involved in all that, as well as barely understanding what is even going on…"

Huh. It's best to not stick our heads in anyway, guys.

(I say to Niles and our group. I then ask Tilly:)

Do you know where your dad went? I'm kinda starting to get hungry.

Not sure, but it'll probably coincide with when they're done in there. *Tilly tells Marlon*

That amount of drama's not for everyone. *Tilly states plainly to Niles, adding* People make things more complicated than they need to be.

[I...look to Finley for a moment, then back to Mila. Scooting closer to her, I start rubbing her back, just as I did in the hospital as she was crying over Finley in her bed. I sigh, staring off towards the door.]

I float to the corner of the bar, distancing myself from everyone else.

"... Maybe it would be for the best if I stepped out, sorry."

Noriaki silently exits the guest room.

Hey, guys. What's up?

(I ask Nori and Eliot as they step out of the guest room.)

Did we miss somethin' while we were gone? (Marsha asks.)

Greetings... (says Benji(?).)

(Dinah nods at them, but doesn't say anything.)

"… Hey, Nori. Mind giving me a quick run down on what everyone's freaking out about?"

"Oh, hello..."

"Ah, Nyquil, good to see you've managed to return to your original form", Noriaki said before answering, "Miss Finley and Mila had a disagreement on what we should do regarding young David. It got rather heated, especially with... Ahem, Eliot just happened to be present and things got rather heated, I tried to keep it calm and rational, even made some suggestions, but I felt as if I wasn't being heard.."

*Lilly, too, slinks out of the room and tells Marlon weakly* ...they're breaking apart... *before heading over to Tilly to half-heartedly read what she's reading*

Crimeny... (Marsha says.) Are they still feelin' bad now?

I'm sorry this wound up happening... (Dinah says.)

(Noivern!Benji frowns.)

Sounds like a bad situation that turned worse...

"I see." I try to think of anything else I'd want to know. "So… did everyone else turn back to normal yet?" ('Cause it'd be hella awkward if it was just me and Finley… and Cyk.)

"That I'm not 100% sure of", said Noriaki, adjusting his fringe.

Finley lets out a despairing sigh and quickly joins Eliot, hugging Mila as tight as she can.

"I'm sorry, Millie. I'm so so sorry..."

If...if I may, what exactly did you suggest?

(I ask Nori.)

"Well, I was already planning on using some of the money recently obtained to see about possibly hiring any mercenaries to bolster our security and strength in numbers, so I said that maybe having the theoretical hires specifically keep an eye on David. Or perhaps with the extra set of hands, we ourselves could all watch over him better without there being detriments to our security."

Noriaki cleared his throat and continued, "Although, this is operating under the assumption that we bring him with us, that was a much more main point of the debating. Mila apparently made a promise to protect David and not leave him."

"Oh, okay." (What if she doesn't turn back? … Wait, why should I care? Whatever she does with her own body is her decision.) Even though I cleared that up for myself, I can't help but feel like I have a slight preference for foxes…

I see...so Mila isn't going to just leave the kid, no matter what we do?

(I aside to Nori, still keeping myself close to Marsha.)

I can certainly see why this would be a problem... (says Noivern!Benji to Nori. Marsha shoots him a strange look and makes a "cut-that-out" gesture in his direction before turning to look at Nori.)

Yeah, what a mess. Have you fellas even reached a verdict over what ta do with the little spark, yet? (Marsha asks, taking Marlon by the hand.)

Yeah, man...broken promises can really damage people. I hope we can come up with something concise that resolves this and makes us all happy regarding the kid.

(When Marsha takes my hand, I look at her and smile..as if I have been soothed by her presence.)
