Sushi licks her paw nonchalantly as she continues to watch the events unfold.

Shichiro nods. This punishment was just. At the same time, he couldn't help but feel bad...

Perhaps he was just too soft.

"The honorable and dishonorable alike get what they deserve." He looks down, seemingly ashamed of himself. "I apologize for trying to start a fight in this room. I don't know what came over me. However, I'm glad you two are so capable of handling yourselves."

He begins to leave the Area himself, having been eliminated. "I hope to see you again soon. It was great to meet you."

I really do need to let others fight their own battles, don't I? He thinks to himself as he leaves.

Win or lose, this was a learning experience.

" You do? Alright, but mind explaining before we do this?"

Mila follows behind Eliot, though she is a bit worried. She hopes nothing ill comes of this, but she can't help but feel like his sudden idea will have some downfalls to it, especially given that he doesn't know the whole story. But now's not the time for second-guessing, given how long the Pawniards have been in there. She can only imagine what the Flaaffy would be attempting.

AND THE WHIRLWIND DEFLECTS AS WELL! *Birch bellows* Quite the amazing match-up we have here this early afternoon, these two have clearly been practicing!

Quite amazing indeed, Birch. *Elm replies* It seems Mystic Whirlwind has quite the misdirection strategy going on — mixing the paranoia of calling out one's attacks with the uncertainty of the ruse...

*Birch interrupts Elm with an* OH, and those rapid water blasts are doing a number on Whirlwind, but someone's been practicing 'cause he's right back up and ready for more!

*Elm retorts* He clearly looks like he's slowing down, Birch, but he certainly looks determined...and with that so-called grenade, his opponent is slowing down as well! It's Iris' move, though...will the Whirlwind have enough energy to dodge this latest barrage?

Andy has managed to lose his place. He is unaware if the tournament is actually happening right now or not, and he's generally concerned he's in the wrong place, having lost where Wrench is. Damn Andy, you took the fucking wrong turn at Albuquerque, apparently.

[Once we make it to an alleyway, I duck in and start talking,] "Okay, so you know my Phantom Force...thing? The move I Sketched from Dras-Il...I was thinking, y'know, since I got some practice, sussing it out n'all, that was...back in Silversand, anyway."

[I wait a bit to sort some stuff out, then I continue,] "What I'm thinking is we use that to sneak in. We could pop in that...realm, move into there without getting detected and maybe even get out with that Flaaffy if she's still in there."

"Huh, that could— wait a minute, we? After how long it took you to get back the first time? Sigh I... after what I asked Finley, can I really? Are we even sure it'll work? But, I guess we don't have any other good options. I swear, if this gets me stuck... you're going to have to tell the others. I'll be watching."

Mila is clearly unsure of this plan, but she doesn't step away from Eliot. Worse than her fears of failure are those of knowing she could have tried but instead did nothing. At least Eliot had familiarized himself with the move a bit more. But if it didn't work on her? What then?

"Don't worry about getting out..." [I remember back to that second day, when Dras helped me.] "If you wanna...get out, it...it takes something to will for, to get out. An action, a thing, a person...really anything, s'long as you're convicted enough about it."

[I think back to Finley. I know I've been able to bust out over more trivial things...a bite to eat, a soft bed to rest on, but even then, it was pretty slow. Mila would probably rely on her most of all to help get out...but would it be enough, even with other things stacked into it?]

[Assuming both of us can even get in, that is... I suppose either way, it's worth a shot.] "I'm...probably gonna need ya t'hold tight, okay?" [I'm not risking it with a hand hold or a shoulder grab.]

(I arrive back in the waiting area to see Shichiro leaving. Huh, he lost? Wow.)

Liezzzzl? (Maran asks as they look out after Cortez as he runs screaming out the door.) Now that I think about it, are you sure that wazzzn't too harsh? Bzz Turning him into a Tyrunt, I mean?

Perhaps... (Liesl answers.) On the other hand, though, don't you agree that Cortez needed to be...erm, taken down a peg, as they say? And learn how you have felt all these years? Perhaps eventually he'll get used to his new form like you did as well.

(Maran shrugs, and then waves good-bye to Shichiro as he leaves.)

*Jani has more or less wrapped up her warm-up, both relieved and worried about how much she's been half-assing "fighting" all this time. she opts drink the flatter of her two R-Sodas now, her fight coming up pretty soon and all, and also puts some piece of cloth she got in a barfight a couple nights ago around her "waist", or is it her neck...Diglett anatomy is weird*

(I think that's where it goes. Not like anyone can see it or anything...and it's pretty gauche. It's perfect for me.)

"… I'm internally panicking," I reply with a straight face. While one can interpret it as sarcasm, I was being rather serious.

"Well, it got me over my hangover," Sushi notes.

"Oh, same though."

"Yeah, let's be real, here. I'm probably gonna get knocked out on round one."

Still give it your best though. I'm sure you can get past round 1.

"Hey, hey now," Sushi says. "You're a fire type. Traditionally, fire is the most destructive of the natural elements. You may be nervous and inexperienced, but fighting is in your blood. Even if you end up losing, I know you're not gonna go down easy."

"Well, in a tournament setting like this, whether or not I go down swinging is kinda irrelevant. If I go down, that's it."

"Something I want? Okay, let's do it then."

Mila goes up to Eliot and grabs ahold of his shoulders with her paws. She's not exactly sure what he means by his directions, but she's eager to get this matter over with, one way or another.

Damn right, Sushi. Niles, use the fire within you out there.
